Here is all the content made up today. Thursday March 19th 9AM-12PM. we worked on parent pages, learn how to make coloums, and learnt the basics of pages and page layouts, as well as how to make each page number automatically update depending on the literal page number it is, instead of placing text boxes manually. At the end of the class we went over to adobe illustrator and worked on designing what is known as an end paper, which is common place in books. to do this we first made our own object, i made a fairly rough looking angry bird, then placed it onto a shape and highlighted both the shape and our object and then we would drag these two highlighted pieces into our swatches which made them into a continuous pattern which we then placed onto a large rectangle, copied over to our tutorial book on indesign, to work as an end paper, and then we were done.

this is my second attempt at a coloured image adjustment this one i use a sky selection to mask out the sky of the base image then i placed a mushroom cloud and went on to use a neural filter to harmonise the colours to that of the mushrooms clouds layer, as always i included the original for reference. I forgot to mention for the past three but for all four of these pieces i have used assets from either the adobe gallery or from the free use non copyright website unsplash.com.

this is my first attempt at coloured image adjustment. i made sure to include my layers tap so as to show all the adjustments i had made, all the groups have the same thigs in them, and then for the back ground that does not have visible layers what i did was add a gradient map and did dome hue adjustment to correct the shadows and highlights.

my second go at the black and white adjustment of an image, i also left the respective original in the bottom left corner. instead of desaturation i used levels, a gradient map, and some layer styles used with a blank white colour fill. I also made an attempt at giving the zebras some presence with a slight glow behind them.

here is my first go at making a black and white image I used a whole lot of techniques with this piece but mainly i was aiming to avoid just blatantly turning the saturation down and instead actually going that small bit further using other tools like thresholds, layer masks, the filter gallery, a blur tool, a noise tool, and by altering the layer style on some layers

today we learnt some basics in indesign, things like adding a text box, paragraph styles, character styles, adding images and that we must always use shift + command, text wrapping images and finally at the end we went into photoshop and added extra details to our images which since these were linked images any changes made live on photoshop would update the images on indesign.

here is a personal piece I have made, the class was instructed/ challenged with making our own creations utilising the skills we had learnt from our lessons; I used mine to make this. Additionally i also tried to play with lighting to make the piece look ever so slightly more realistic; at least as realistic as lighting goes compared to the situation.

Within this screenshot it the upgraded form of my previous work from class with about four new raster images and two vector images I created myself. Along side this is the entirety of my layers seen within is masks groups and named layers as all key parts of my design process and good habits to keep.

I personally chose to make my penguin differently shaped from what the tutorial had described but overall it is fairly reminiscent of the concept so I am happy with what I have done.

March 5th. Todays class was about linking layers and utilising masks, and various selection tools to separate an image from its original source. Additionally we played around with adobe illustrator in order to make the abstract shape seen in the main image.
