Eternal School Mode

Welcome to Hope's Peak Academy, of which I, Monokuma, am Headmaster! This is a beautiful, prestigious school where students will be living a communal life while assembling materials for all my wild and crazy back-ups indefinitely! Since they have all the time in the world, I will most graciously allow anyone using this blog to ask them questions and interact with them...provided you obey all of the rules, of course! The rules and regulations for this blog are these:

- No NSFW content! Graphic sex and violence are prohibited!

- No pushing for any specific "ships". It's a close communal life the students are living - it's basically a massive polycule! Puhuhuhuhu!

- Don't ask them about anything pertaining to your world, like culture or politics. They won't understand what you're talking about!

- The students are, however, aware of their past lives and the nature of the multiverse, so feel free to ask questions pertaining to that.

- You can ask me, the Headmaster, questions as well! Just no crying if I don't answer them exactly to your liking! Puhuhuhuhuhu!

- In case you're wondering, Chihiro accepts both male and female pronouns. The other guys here use the male ones for him, while the girls use the female ones for her. Got it?

- Saturday is Ticket Day, in which I give two pairs of tickets to two pairs of students so that they can hang out and relax together. Which students will be selected at random by a spinning wheel.

- More students will be transferred to the school overtime. So if there's someone you'd like to speak to that isn't here, just be patient! They'll get here eventually!

“This month’s first project is…Kumaburra!”

"Well, it's been fun, but I gotta be heading back to my Control Room to boot up Monokuma again. Despairingly, I still haven't quite cracked the code to Chihiro's Alter-Ego program in order to make him walk and talk independently of me."

"But now that I've come out once, you'll be seeing me out more often. Those occasions will be a real treat for everyone, I'm sure!"

"Y-yeah, I'm sure...."

"The threat posed by Zero may be over, but that doesn't mean we should get complacent even as we resume our usual schedule. We know now that this school sits upon a Morphogenic Gate, and more threats could end up coming through it."

"All so that Junko can stave off boredom."

"I'm not worried. We've already shown what we can accomplish together...including Junko, and now including Santa and June too!"

"Hell yeah! Makoto's right! It'll take an army to bring us down!"

"........No."

"You can't cross over."

"Oh! Heheheheheh...thank you!"

"In sum, I got myself a Morphogenic Gate through means I'm still not up to telling, and I buried it deep underground directly under my secret hatch in the control room of the Data Center. That causes its energy to spread across the entire Hope's Peak Academy area."

"So you deliberately made this school a target for multiversal interference, to make up for not being able to run your damn Killing Game in this reality..."

"Oh yeah, speaking of which....I'm sorry. We lied. We were never actually planning on making you guys play a Killing Game if we took over the academy."

"Huh? R-really?"

"I know you've got no reason to believe us, but it's true."

"....I believe you. You were trying to save us, weren't you?"

"Save us? Are you shitting me right now?"

"June said it herself: Zero acts detached and clinical to hide their true intentions. She may be aware of a potential bad outcome and pretend not to care much if it happens since she's addicted to the process instead of the result, but chances are she's always hoping for the good outcome...in this case, liberating us from Junko."

"And I'm the one who let you come here to begin with. Rude..."

"I'd hoped putting Mukuro in jeopardy might draw Junko out. Then maybe if Makoto fell into despair, he'd become desperate enough to take drastic action against Junko. If Chihiro quit being the Ultimate Programmer, it would inspire the rest to rebel against the boxes Junko keeps them in. If Celeste became more honest and open in her bonds with the rest, it would make Junko see the futility of controlling you all. And when none of that worked...I just had to provide all of you with the truth through the Morphogenic Field, and hope that you'd take my side against Junko afterward."

"But you didn't! Why? Why did you, even after everything she's done, still stand with Junko!?"

"Because Alter-Ego was the tie-breaking vote...."

"No, I meant after that, why'd you so easily accept the way the vote ended? Half of you were against that outcome - why didn't you just sit it out when Zero took over? Instead, you all joined Junko in taking back control of the school! It doesn't make sense!"

"I can't speak for everyone, not for certain. But I think that it's because...well, all things considered, our lives aren't bad here under Junko. As irritating as she or Monokuma or whatever you want to call her can be, she's still letting us live the way we chose to: in a barricaded shelter where we can still serve as the hope of the future."

"And I think through this blog powered by the Morphogenic Gate, we've been able to be that hope of the future...for the world that is able to read it and engage with it. From what I can gather, things are bad there. So to see us still being able to have a decent life and able to come together to overcome challenges even when our world has literally ended...I think that's worth something."

"WAAAAAAAAAH! OH MAKOTO, YOU ARE SO DESPAIRINGLY CHEESY! *SOB!* I JUST WANNA VOMIT!"

"....Like I said, our lives are worth the irritation she provides."

"Wow. Heh....I guess you never needed us after all."

"Oh, I don't know. I feel like we've all become stronger and even better positioned going forward thanks to our experiences with you. We know everything about the original Killing Game, and all realities that spawned from it. And our bonds with each other have only grown tighter. So for that, at least some of us will remember you with a certain degree of fondness."

"Thank you, Kyoko..."

"I'm sorry. Whoever said you two were going anywhere?"

"I buried the Morphogenic Gate where I did for a reason, you know. The state-of-the-art fortification around the Hope's Peak Academy area means its energy stops dead in its tracks instead of expanding enough to allow off-worlders any return trips."

"HUH!?"

"No....it can't be...!"

"I'm afraid it iiiiii-iiiiiiiiiiiis!"

"Of fucking course it is! I can't believe not one of the chucklefucks in this school ever put it together that I couldn't run a fucking blog like this without unfiltered multiverse access! No shit I got one!"

"All right! Let's get this assembly underway! Puhuhuhuhuhu!"

"First off, Kyoko. Please explain to everyone how you figured out that June was actually Zero and conspiring with Santa against us."

"It was several things that kept piling on. First off, June brought up timestream theory completely unprompted and used it to allegedly speculate on Zero's motives. The only one who had ever spoken of time being like a river before was Zero themself, and it was odd for June to be so confident in her assessment about what Zero wanted considering how secretive Zero is even toward their own minions."

"Then there was the incident where Makoto was going to be the tie-breaking vote in favor of Junko in her conflict with Zero, only for June to step it and tie the vote again by casting her own in Zero's favor despite having claimed to be here against Zero's orders."

"But above all, there was the behavior of Zero themself. A pre-recorded message instead of a live broadcast. No mention of June having defied them or threat toward her for it. And of course, just suddenly showing up in person out of nowhere, without any explanation as to how they could have possibly bypassed security all the way up to the Forbidden Classroom. I concluded that the only way any of that makes sense is if June was Zero."

"Well, they don't call you the Ultimate Detective for nothing!"

"So, June. Santa. Could you finally fully explain yourselves, and why you've been doing all of this?"

"Hey, I don't need to explain anything. I've been totally upfront this whole time: whatever Zero wants, I do. After all, she's my sister."

".....Yeah, I get that."

"I'll explain, then. First off, I'm not really named June or Zero. My real name is Akane Kurashiki. My brother is Aoi Kurashiki."

"Santa has the same name as me!?"

"Yeah, not worth interrupting her over."

"When the two of us were just little kids....we were abducted, along with many other kids. The people who kidnapped us forced us into a series of dangerous experiments aimed at unlocking the power of the Morphogenic Field, which we were naturally attuned to."

"That's horrible!"

"It was only thanks to the Morphogenic Field that I in particular was able to survive....although of course, I also knew that in many other time branches, I didn't."

"I took on the mantle of Zero and the codename of June in the process of saving myself, with Aoi doing the same with the codename of Santa. No...not just to save myself. To exact revenge upon the people who put us and all those other kids through that."

"And what, pray tell, does any of this have to do with us?"

"....There was a price to pay for what I did. I couldn't stop living in the Morphogenic Field. I became obsessed with it...I fully admit - it's an addiction. I can't stop viewing the infinite branches, looking to find situations similar to what I went through and seeing if I can interfere in any way...sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. It doesn't tend to matter to me since if things go wrong in one branch, there's always another where things can go right."

"Zero was supposed to be temporary. Instead...it became who I am."

"..........But why us? Or rather, how us? The Morphogenic Field is supposed to only transfer consciousnesses, which makes interfering with other realities more difficult. But somehow you and your brother took your whole physical bodies with you from your world to ours."

"Is it really that surprising? You have a Morphogenic Gate open here. Physically crossing the multiverse is actually pretty easy when there's a gate open somewhere."

".........WHAT!?"

"A Morphogenic Gate, here at this academy!?"

"You....didn't know!?"

(Everyone slowly turns and faces Junko.)

"Oops! My bad!"
