Very bizzare question, uh...
If Moonflower is the Blossom more aware of crossover schenagains, then does he linger with Springtime sometimes??? Is he with her right now during this whole crossover incident???
Tbh Moonflower is in such a unique position that idk whether or not to add them to the current crossover narrative (Misplaced Virtues) as it could overcomplicate matters due to a curse + giant beast forms + emotional regulation issues regarding said beast forms + THEY'RE ALREADY DEALING WITH TWO BEASTS I'm sure a giant deer/crow hybrid would set some of the virtue lights off š (thinking of Silence here, so sorry bud)
If I DID, I'd have to either A. Forcibly call in Springtime (using Blossom as the speaker) to take the soul jam and channel back IN that spell effect, which would affect Blossom instantaneously. Or B. He was always Moonflower and just using a glamour spell. And idk which is better or worse in this situation...
... I feel like B would be the safer option, though. For now he's still just og Blossom with slightly more extensive foreknowledge of timelines and alternate universes. If I did implement Moonflower, that would mean that the current trajectory of the timeline is incorrect and is a more direct offshoot of the Beastpocalypse timeline, OR it's a mix of both where Blossom just gets yanked from the Fated Rewind timeline into Beastpocalypse, and comes out of it to jump STRAIGHT into the former timeline, then encounters Truthless in the Paradise before getting thrown into Misplaced Virtues itself.
... CAN YOU SEE HOW I'M OVERCOMPLICATING THIS I'M HKSKGKEKGKDOSKSK AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Okay back on topic, sorry- If we go with option A it bypasses the question on "how did he not transform up until this point?" because the beast form relies on heavy negative emotions leading to a headache trigger, which is effectively a warning to the body to either calm down or find a safe place and just let it happen.
HOWEVER this does raise problems because in previous sequences it has been shown that Spring cannot break into the Misplaced Virtues timeline without Toasty, so how is she supposed to get inside to do that stunt for Blossom???
If we go with option B, here's the main problem... HOW DID BLOSSOM NOT TRANSFORM IN THE ENTIRE TIME HE WAS IN THAT TIMELINE?!
I am being completely serious rn, there's at least three high stress situations already and one complete disassociation episode.
Like HOW DID HE NOT GET A HEADACHE FROM THAT???
Either he's been concealing a heavy brunt of those emotions OR he's using a heavy protection spell to keep the form from manifesting until he absolutely needs it. I'm more likely to believe the latter than the former because Blossom is generally written to be very paranoid and anxious over stuff he sees as DANGER. And this is a VERY dangerous predicament everyone is in, OF COURSE he's gonna be on edge all the time.
Adding onto this, at the very least option B would EXPLAIN him having a wider understanding of magic functionality, curses, and emotional stability, alongside (thanks to Spring) holding much more information on AUs than someone should. It's just that, on the last point, he never brings it up because it would OVERCOMPLICATE THINGS-
Basically THIS is the original crossover timeline.
And THIS is the Moonflower complication.
Timeline hopping, especially BACK IN TIME, to present time post Moonflower, right near the START of the next event.
Do we see the issue here??? Doing this type of stunt would be a lot of mental jumping and we're already dealing with the Wizard and EtE Smilk gap because of placements but y'know... HE KNOWS the nerf spell now because Spring needed this specific wizard variant to know it. Ofc she did. Does she also know throwing Blossom and a giant beast form at least the size of 3-5 cookies in a timeline is gonna FREAK THOSE COOKIES OUT??? It's a miracle this entire fiasco hasn't collapsed in on its head yet and I'm trying to juggle all of this AT ONCE.
So yeah. Depends on the Canon. Also I'd have to ask if that's okay or not and I'm not entirely sure on how to go about so ehhhh... Ye. It's fine, dw about it too much.
