this is my wild child esther, goes by essie because she can’t stand the name esther and thinks it’s “an old ass lady name” will cringe if you call her esther 

she wasn’t always wild and rebellious though, she used to be the church girl who read her bible every night before bed and would sing in the choir

everything changed when her brother was kicked out for being gay. this really confused her because she couldn’t understand why it was such a huge deal, and even if it was, she still doesn’t agree that her parents should have abandoned him. 

her parents were super strict on her after that and wouldn’t allow her to keep in contact with him. they kept monitoring her social media, texts, and location to keep the two apart. 

this is what really spiraled her into being reckless and it really tested her faith and everything she knew

she often does crazy shit just to make her parents mad. she changed her whole appearance, cut her hair shoulder length, pierced her septum, and changed her wardrobe to all black (mostly) and just started rebelling and acting out to spite them.

when she turned 18 she went to study abroad in italy but got into trouble at school for smoking weed on campus her junior year so she dropped out and came back a few months ago in the summer.

she is now a hairstylist and specializes in coloring hair crazy colors

lives in her own apartment and doesn’t speak to her parents much anymore now that she’s used to being away from them. 

has been looking for her brother to try and reconnect with him b/c she never wanted to lose contact in the first place.
