Matthew de Clermont is deep in prayer. Little does he know his life is about to take an extraordinary turn. I love this praying sequence in the first episode of Adow. It's a beautiful window into Matthew and what makes him.

It's not the first time Matthew Goode is portraying a character with strong faith. Pete Mitchell in Pressure was a church leader and deeply religious, and, of course C. S. Lewis, in Matthew's forthcoming film Freud's Last Session, converted to Christianity in his early 30s. His faith profoundly influenced his work. God and its existence will be a topic of hot debate between Freud and Lewis in the film.

Fan question: what’s been the biggest challenging with filming during COVID?

MD: production was difficult across the board (various reasons given)

SS: getting COVID tests and her one leaky nostril

SH: proceeds to “out” Cait about her leaky nostril

And this is the best part, Sam seemed eager and puts Cait on the spot and cheekily asks: “Caitriona what was the toughest thing for you this season?”

I saw this part of the panel and thought, after the week of promo the fans just experienced, with all the loved up smiles, the staring, the endless compliments and “thanks babe”, he dares to find an entry point to talk about the little soul.

He surely knew social media was talking about how happy he seemed—the pictures, video clips and GIFs and then still after all that…tries to tee up another moment for Caitriona to mention the baby and during a live interview nonetheless.
