You had the flu. It changed your voice. Your nose turned pink and I thought I'd never seen anything cuter. You were wearing your burnt-orange turtleneck sweater. We were in our favorite spot and I was sitting and you were standing in front of me, laughing about a silly home remedy I had told you and in that moment I loved you

I know guys always play rough with each other. But when you showed me your arm with the skin inflamed because your friend had messed with it, I saw red and I wanted to hurt him for hurting you. You laughed it off and said it was fine but still I raged and it was then that I knew without a doubt that in that moment I loved you

I was open about my feelings for you. Everyone knew and you pretended not to. We spent the day sitting side by side on the floor and you were still talking about her. At night you texted to tell me you can still scent me on your clothes and that was enough to warm my heart and in that moment I loved you.

You talked on and on about her and it hurt me to see you hurting. I pushed you towards her just to get you to stop suffering. But you suffered and I cried your tears and in that moment i loved you.

You told me about her and my heart sank. You told me about your heartbreak and I felt your pain as if it was mine. I listened to you talk on and on about her and I knew I could never be her and in that moment I loved you.

You were wearing that checkered pistachio green shirt. I passed you by at the gate, about to go home. You smelled of cologne and sweat and frankly, nothing has ever smelled more intoxicating to me. You smiled at me and I squeaked out a little hi with my heart fluttering like a caged beast on seeing that smile and pistachio green is still my favorite color and in that moment I loved you.

You were sitting with your friends. I was walking to class and I saw you laughing and talking. Then you turned and I saw the sunlight catching the beautiful dark brown of your eyes and my heart missed a beat. It hasn't recovered since. You caught me staring and in that moment I loved you.

I was walking around on campus alone because I hadn't made any friends yet. It was a Friday and your friends had left early too. You saw me and asked if I wanted company. I said yes and we got icecreams and sat on that bench under the cool autumn sun and you told me about the things you love and showed me pictures on your phone and the happiness and laughter reached your eyes and in that moment I loved you

We were standing with your group of friends. I was new on campus and someone asked me how I'm fitting in and I said I still get lost on campus because it seems so big. You laughed and in that moment I was looking at you and it felt like the sun had come out of the clouds after years of rain, like I was lost in a desert and you were an oasis I had come upon and the only thing I knew was that I had never seen or heard anything more beautiful than your laugh and in that moment I loved you.
