hi!! I think my food obsession was less intense right before I became vegan so I wasn’t so worried about it being a big deal but mainly for me veganism is more about educating myself on animals and the environment and my health…not a weight loss diet so it really helped me to become focuses on those aspects rather than what it would do to my body. I never read stuff about loosing weight on a vegan diet or anything like that at all. I forced myself to focus on the logic of the diet and why it is just GOOD! It helped me learn to have a better relationship with food that wasn’t centered around my body. Also, you need to consume more calories on a vegan diet which made it impossible for me to calorie count which was a HUGE help!
