Nott Dyrmark â The Spy in House Dyrmark
NameâNott Dyrmark RaceâHuman Ageâ28 OrientationâHeterosexual, Bisexual, or Pansexual (Up to Writer) OccupationâJarl Dagr Dyrmarkâs Junior Wife, Secret Spy LocationâHouse Dyrmark in Midaska Portrayed ByâIra Chernova (negotiable within age range)
Appearance
Always seen in her leathers and with her swords, many people mistake her for Jarl Dagrâs guard. This couldnât be further from the truth. Sheâs always dressed for battle, as sheâs always paranoid she might be found out as an informant -- though, she always keeps her composure and has yet to make a mistake.
Personality
Nott is particularly observant, and has a sort of gift for figuring people out quickly. She trusts her first instincts when it comes to meeting people, and has so far never been wrong -- whether for better or worse. Sheâs also not a particularly romantic individual, much to the chargin of her husband of four years; though, fortunately for Nott, he has two other wives to occupy his time.
Biography
Though she was born with the name Ingris in House Sonderi, Nott adopted her new name after becoming a spy in House Dyrmark. In her small Sonderi village, she was a grand swordsmaster with stealth unlike any other -- and had made her name unknown as a thief. There were no parents to be found putting her on a safer path, and oftentimes she slept alone in the little warmth to be found between inn hearths. There was better pay to be found in other rogue rings, however, and shortly after a great heist that provided both wealth and influence, she turned her sights on becoming a spymaster. From the time she was sixteen to twenty-three, Nott traded in secrets. She lived in the shadows, her face unknown even to those she did business with. It wasnât until Jarl Inka herself called upon her that she came out into the light -- to do the dragon motherâs bidding. Jarl Inka Sonderi, Jarl Inga Kettasgrove, and High King Unr Nidir (who has since been assassinated) gave her the task of a deep cover quest: go to House Dyrmark and learn whatever you can. The House has honor in its own right, they said, but before any alliances were made with House Dyrmark, they neeeded to make sure there were no secret plans for invasions. By the time she made it through the Wild Wood and came to Jarl Dagrâs great hall, she was twenty-four, and had a lifetime of bloodshed under her belt. Of the ways she had imagined infiltrating the House, the very last was that she would do it through marriage. But as she slept her first night as a guest in the great hall, having braved the Wild Wood for an entire month, she was courted by the Dagr who was fascinated with her sword arm. They dueled three times, and she beat him three times. On the fourth, he bet her hand in marriage that he would beat her -- and she let him win, though not without giving him another scar or two. Now, with a seat secure as the Jarlâs wife, she is as close to the Houseâs secrets as she could be. She sends coded messages to the other Houses, telling them of Dagrâs stability changes, the sea raiders delivering supplies to House Dyrmark, and the mounting army of bloodthirsty and hungry men.

Ida Dyrmark the Thresher â The Mad Jarlâs Mad Wife
NameâIda Dyrmark RaceâHuman Mudaro Ageâ44 OrientationâHeterosexual, Bisexual, or Pansexual (Up to Writer) OccupationâJarl Dagr Dyrmarkâs Chief Wife LocationâHouse Dyrmark in Midaska Portrayed ByâHelena Bonham Carter (non-negotiable)
Appearance
Ida enjoys wearing dark colors and avoiding drawing attention to herself (a habit when her father was raising her to be neither seen nor heard, lest she be kidnapped or killed), though she takes particular care with her hair, and will sometimes don makeup when she wants to impress her husband.
Personality
Being afflicted with Mudaro, Ida is occasionally overcome with a homicidal rage. Her husband has become an expert at keeping her tame, though sometimes he will allow her to assassinate prisoners with her bare hands while he watches. She tends to be a jealous woman as far as her husband and his other wives are concerned, though as the chief wife, she has some sense of security in her position close to the Jarl. After several miscarriages, Ida has become depressed alongside her husband, though still continues to try to provide him an heir.
Biography
Ida was born within the borders of House Dyrmark, and through luck and her fatherâs ferocity, she survived to see adulthood. When she was a little girl of seven, her father infected her and she became a Mudaro -- as he believed this would be the only way she could survive without him. They lived in a small house deep in the woods, away from any human dangers. Her father would come home with game heâd bagged -- though sometimes he was covered in blood, or wanting to come after her. Heâd told her from a young age that she would have to run from him during these times, and to never let him catch her when he had that fire in his eyes. As the years passed and her father died, Ida moved into a more populated area -- and nearly the only one around was the village surrounding the House Dyrmark family themselves. Ida was known for her homicidal rages and got in a grand amount of trouble because of it. She passed under the House familyâs eye but only for a short while... After she murdered the Jarlâs own handsy stable-boy and was found covered in his blood, she was taken to be tried by the Jarl himself. It was here that she found not punishment but her future husband. Dagr Dyrmark proposed marriage to Ida when he was sixteen and she was twenty-nine, and despite her age and disinterest in him, she knew better than to refuse the son of the Jarl. Dagr was immediately taken with her when he saw her in those chains, even despite an entire year of her refusing him any sort of sexual relations. Eventually, however, she found herself fond of him -- and his acceptance of her, murderous rages and all. Now that Dagr himself is the Jarl, she often offers her advice to her husband, whether she expects him to listen or not. Though she once cared little for House Dyrmark, she finds herself more concerned with its future as the wife to its leader and the potential mother to its future heir. She sees importance in recreating bonds with the other Houses, where Dagr sees only tense history and hatred.

Jarl Dagr Dyrmark â The Mad Jarl
NameâDagr Dyrmark RaceâHuman Wolfkin Ageâ31 OrientationâHeterosexual, Bisexual, or Pansexual (Up to Writer) OccupationâJarl of House Dyrmark LocationâHouse Dyrmark in Midaska Portrayed ByâBen Barnes (non-negotiable)
Appearance
As would befit someone with the title of âmadâ, Dagrâs hair is always wild and unkempt. Often, heâs covered in dirt and blood. Heâs known for wearing the iconic armors of his dead enemies and sometimes even their skulls -- and has a collection of Ettin ears on a necklace.
Personality
Living up to the Dyrmark legacy, Dagr is unpredictable in his punishments. A man accused of stealing might have his hand cut off just as easily as he might be celebrated for his daring. Not even his three wives can predict his reactions to things, though Soma embraces the madness especially. He is an ambitious man in the sense that he believes heâll be able to restore some of House Dyrmarkâs former power and resources, though he does little to patch things up as far as their relations with the other Houses go.
Biography
Dagr Dyrmark was not always mad -- more, his madness was shaped by his father. The Jarl before him, whose blood runs in his veins, would teach him the strangest lessons in the strangest ways. His father would offer bed to strangers or enemies, only to slaughter them the next morning and serve their bodies to hogs. In this way, Dagr learned that strangers are never to be trusted, but always feed your strangers well -- and a Jarl can never have friends, but make as many as you can. He adopted his fatherâs (and his fatherâs before him) ways, having had any sense of normality beaten or scared out of him. Like many men in Dyrmark, Dagr has taken three wives. The first was an older woman, married when he was only sixteen. The second was a warrior from the Wild Wood he became infatuated with. The third, and the youngest, is only a recent wife -- who he met while being called to punish her for cannibalism. Due to the lack of resources in the barren House Dyrmark, Dagr has yet to have any children. So far, all the pregnancies his wives have had ended sadly early. After several instances of this, Dagr has gone into a strange depression and tends to refuse relations with his wives. This also drives him to send more secret raiding ships out, believing that if the other Houses refuse more resources, they should simply take them.

Mani Sonderi â The Companion
NameâMani Sonderi RaceâEttin Air Elemental Ageâ46 (in Ettin lifespan) OrientationâHomosexual, Bisexual, or Pansexual (Up to Writer) OccupationâUvan and Irisi Sonderiâs Guard LocationâHouse Sonderi in Midaska Portrayed ByâCorey Baptiste (negotiable within age range)
Appearance
Even for an Ettin, Mani is tall, and his skill as an Air Elemental is nearly unmatched. Like other Air Elementals, Mani focuses on remaining calm under pressure and hones his agility through daily practice.
Personality
Where his husband tends to be aggressive or distrusting, Mani is kind and benevolent. Despite his strength and lethality as an impressive Air Elemental, Mani always tries diplomacy before violence. He also loves children and can be found volunteering at Sonderi orphanages, teaching parentless children both how to fight and how to socialize.
Biography
Mani was born to two very poor Air Elemental Ettins. Every day was a struggle for his parents to simply provide for their child. His mother was assaulted and murdered by a noble whose farm she worked on, and then his father was sentenced to death after getting revenge. Alone and barely of-age, Mani began offering his strength (and skill with air) as a mercenary. After several years of this, he accepted a job that paid well and would take him, for the first time, to Midaska. Little did he know, this would be his last task as a mercenary. Uvan Sonderi hired him to protect he and his sister both along The Great Passage and in Midaska, afraid that their mixed race and their innocence to Midaskaâs troubles would make them targets for a variety of predators. Immediately Mani was smitten with Uvan, who seemed cold and distant, but who eventually warmed up to his increasing advances. The journey was very long and very harsh, but shortly after they arrived in House Sonderi, Mani proposed marriage to Uvan -- who accepted. (All other biography aspects up to writer.)

Uvan Sonderi â The Half-Ettin Twin
NameâUvan Sonderi RaceâHalf-Ettin Fire Elemental, Mudaro Ageâ32 (in half-Ettin lifespan) OrientationâHomosexual, Bisexual, or Pansexual (Up to Writer) OccupationâJarl Inka Sonderiâs Brother LocationâHouse Sonderi in Midaska Portrayed ByâDudley O'Shaughnessy (non-negotiable)
Appearance
Uvan is proud of his Ettin blood, unlike his sister -- perhaps because his own husband is full Ettin. He fell in love with dragon-bone armor and is always seen wearing it. He also wears an air stone around his neck, having received it as a wedding gift from his husband.
Personality
Where Irisi tends to be shy, Uvan is brash and confident. Proud of his Ettin blood, heâll wear clothes from Ettinheim just as easily as those from Midaska. He also has a distrust of strangers -- since they often have some sort of bias toward him due to his mixed race. He struggles with guilt and shame due to his Mudaro affliction, despite his familyâs reassurance that heâs still a good person.
Biography
Uvan and his twin sister Irisi grew up in the city of Ignis in Ettinheim. They were born to Jarl Inka Sonderiâs human father and a fire elemental Ettin woman. They had no contact with their father, though when they became of-age they tracked him down -- and found that not only did they have a half-sister, but she was the Jarl of House Sonderi in Midaska. After their mother fell victim to Bloodstrix, they moved to Midaska to meet (and then live with) their sister Inka. Uvan now acts as her personal guard. He met Mani while in Ettinheim, and had hired him to be their guard in Midaska. They married shortly after settling in House Sonderi -- their connection being an intense and loyal one, even though itâd started off with Uvan keeping his walls high. Uvan was infected with Mudaro when he was a teenager in Ettinheim, and as such, suffers from severe episodes of homicial rage -- though his husband and sisters are experts at dealing with him during these episodes. Heâs ashamed of his affliction, as most with it are, and it has been kept secret from the public.

Appearance
Since living in House Sonderi borders, Irisi has begun to wear dragon jewels more often. She wears her hair long to hide her Ettin ears, though it is certainly no physical secret that sheâs not pure human.
Personality
Being half-Ettin, Irisi received âracial impurityâ bias in Ettinheim, and this only followed her to Midaska. She took their insults to heart and became rather ashamed of her half-Ettin, half-human race. Though she dislikes either culture no more than the other, sheâs always wished she was either full human or full Ettin. Sheâs very curious despite her shyness and enjoys watching villagers or animals interact from afar.
Biography
Irisi and her twin brother Uvan grew up in the city of Ignis in Ettinheim. They were born to Jarl Inka Sonderiâs human father and a fire elemental Ettin woman. Jarl Inka Sonderi â The Dragon Mother
NameâInka Sonderi RaceâHuman Ageâ31 OrientationâUp to Writer OccupationâJarl of House Sonderi LocationâHouse Sonderi in Midaska Portrayed ByâLupita Nyong'o (non-negotiable)
Appearance
Inka dons dragon jewels often, and sometimes wears cloaks made of dragon scales. Her battle armor is made entirely of dragon bone. Instead of honoring her House dragons with burials or pyres, the dragons permit their essences to be used in attire and armor for those of House Sonderi.
Personality
Very spiritual, Inka does all she can to honor both the Gods and dragons every day. She prays, leaves candles and herbs burning, performs sacrifices, and acts only after first considering the honor and glory that both the Gods and dragons demand. She tends to be a very serious person, though she shows her humor at times.
Biography
Inka stands as the only pure-blood heir in the Sonderi House, being full human. Her half-Ettin brother and sister were no less welcome, however, when she discovered their existence. House Sonderi has become an Ettin-accepting House as a result, as her people follow Inkaâs word like religion. Having been trained for the title of Jarl since birth, Inka trained with the best warriors her House had to offer and became an accomplished swordswoman. In times of battle, like all other Jarls, Inka prefers to be on the front lines -- although her people tend to crowd around her, desiring to keep their Jarl safe. Maer â The Sword-Maiden
NameâMaer RaceâHuman Wolfkin Ageâ34 OrientationâHomosexual, Bisexual, or Pansexual (Up to Writer) OccupationâJarl Inga Kettasgroveâs Guard LocationâHouse Kettasgrove in Midaska Portrayed ByâMichelle Rodriguez (negotiable within age range)
Appearance
Even Jarl Inga has never seen Maer without her armor on and her dual swords in their sheaths. Often having trouble sleeping or purposefully staying up to guard, Maer usually has dark circles under her eyes -- and a particular short-temper if sheâs gone without sleep.
Personality
Maer tends to be overly suspicious, bordering on paranoid. She has an extreme distrust of strangers, and often comes across as brash. In her eyes, everyone and anyone could be an assassin out for Jarl Ingaâs throat. She has also become increasingly fond of her (even despite their personality differences), only making her protectiveness worse.
Biography
Born to a slave mother in House Dyrmark, Maer grew up fighting for every scrap. It wasnât until her mother made the long, hard journey with her to House Kettasgrove when she was only eight (resulting in her motherâs death from the elements) that she had any idea of civility. Even with an orphanage providing steady food and warmth for her, she lashed out and made more enemies than friends. It was a village blacksmith that first put a sword in her hand -- thinking sheâd do well to take her frustrations out in battle instead of in life. She flourished at swordplay, and took up the mercenary life when she was a teenager. She had known Jarl Inga in passing as theyâd lived in the same village for a short time (before Maer moved onto another inn) but they didnât really have a bond until she offered herself up as a guard to the new Jarl. A woman in a seat of power, she thought, should have the fierceness of a woman to guard her. (All other biography aspects up to writer.)

NameâInga Kettasgrove RaceâHuman Wolfkin Ageâ35 OrientationâUp to Writer OccupationâJarl of House Kettasgrove LocationâHouse Kettasgrove in Midaska Portrayed ByâKatheryn Winnick (non-negotiable)
Appearance
Jarl Inga is fond of braided hair and keeping on her leather armor at all times. Sheâs particularly good with a bow and enjoys crafting her own arrows in her free time.
Personality
House Kettasgrove is especially loyal to their beloved leader, Jarl Inga. She is both feared by her enemies and revered by her people. Despite her title of âThe Huntressâ, Inga is also a motherly figure and often spends time with the orphans around House Kettasgrove -- having no children of her own.
Biography
Inga grew up as the daughter of two farmers and had plans to continue on as one herself. Her father taught her to fight at a very young age, anticipating what troubles were brewing from those that had already passed. She could out-duel any other child in her village, though she had no dreams beyond the beautiful earth of Kettasgrove she loved so much. However, she befriended the previous Jarl -- who, too, knew that the trials of the next generation would not be an easy one. When Inga was sixteen, she accepted the aging Jarlâs marriage proposal, though it was entirely platonic; together, they had planned to secure her a position as the next Jarl upon his death. At first, she was against the idea of leading an entire House, but when it came between her and someone who may not have Kettasgrove best interest at heart, she could not refuse. Though unmarried and without children, she has no lack of passion for her people, feeling as though each of their families is her own. (All other biography aspects up to writer.)

Vidi the Wolf â The Wolf of Sonderi
NameâVidi RaceâHuman Wolfkin Ageâ24 OrientationâBisexual or Pansexual (Up to Writer) OccupationâThe High Kingâs Guard LocationâHouse Nidir in Midaska. Travels with the High King. Portrayed ByâMarlon Teixeira (non-negotiable)
Appearance
Pelts and furs (animals of all kinds) populate his attire. Like any other citizen of Midaska, he wears an arm ring -- but of House Nidir instead of Sonderi to show his loyalty. On his person at all times is an axe his father had hand-crafted for him shortly before the man was killed by Wolfkin hunters.
Personality
Like a wolf, Vidiâs loyalty is unwavering to those he bonds to. He speaks little but decisively and his word often commands respect even among those who do not know he is âThe Wolfâ.
Biography
Vidi is the son of a smith in a common village within House Sonderi borders. The village is one full of Wolfkin, though in Midaska that always seems to be the case. They took pride in turning their children as young as possible. Vidiâs father was no different; he took to the blood both early and incredibly well. Among the other village boys, he was the youngest but the strongest, and had his first hunt before any of the others. At the age of eight Vidi was sent to House Nidir to train in the art of battle. It was there that he first met Randvir -- and the two bonded like brothers, until they became older and their relationship turned almost intimate as they matured. When Vidi was fourteen, his father sent for him -- desiring his prowess in battle with a group of Wolfkin slayers who had invaded their village. With a heavy heart, he left House Nidir and Randvir behind to defend his people. From then on Vidi grew fame for his exploits. When he was only nineteen he was deemed âThe Wolfâ, and his stories of honor spread through Midaska until he seemed to be only a fable. He came to be the chief of his village after several years of exploration, and itâd never been safer. When he recieved a message from High King Randvir, he journeyed to him immediately. He was asked to become the Kingâs personal guard, who promised to station guards in his village to keep it safe, and Vidi accepted. Now he keeps constant vigil for Randvirâs safety -- who is now his King as well as a close childhood friend.

Gyra Nidir â The Dead Kingâs Daughter
NameâGyra Nidir RaceâHuman Wolfkin Ageâ11 OrientationâUp to Writer (remember, character is only a child) OccupationâThe High Kingâs Niece LocationâHouse Nidir in Midaska. Travels with the High King. Portrayed ByâMillie Bobby Brown (negotiable within age range)
Appearance
Gyra was turned Wolfkin by her father at the age of three, and thus is usually very wild-haired and dirty, much like her brothers. Having the desire to be a warrior, she prefers to wear custom leather armor over dresses or jewels. She carries a dagger her father had had made for her, made of strong steel with runes of luck carved into the hilt.
Personality
Gyra was especially close to her father, Unr. She would often stay up well past dusk to listen to his stories or hear him read from Randvirâs letters. Gyra had ambitious dreams of becoming a warrior much like her uncle, and turned her nose up at the idea of being married off for an alliance -- though her father promised her he wouldnât dare. After the death of her father, Gyra closed herself off to the world. She rarely speaks to her family and more often than not seems sad or in distant thought. She is still fascinated by stories of battle, however, and finds herself more comfortable around the village boys than her own family.
Biography
High King Unr was incredibly happy to be gifted a daughter, and found himself closer to her than his own twin sons (who had bonded with each other more than either of their parents). He made her a Wolfkin at a young age and thus deemed her his âLittle Wolfâ. She grew fascinated with all things beast, armor, or weapon. She even began to pass her fatherâs stories of strong female warriors onto the boys of common villages, embellishing them and crafting the heroine after herself. Hanir Nidir â The Dead Kingâs Son
NameâHanir Nidir RaceâHuman Wolfkin Ageâ20 OrientationâUp to Writer OccupationâThe High Kingâs Nephew LocationâHouse Nidir in Midaska. Travels with the High King. Portrayed ByâJake Cooper (negotiable within age range)
Appearance
Hanir and his twin brother are always covered head to toe in dirt -- staying out at all hours of the night in their Wolfkin forms to hunt and adventure.
Personality
Both he and his twin brother are known for their mischief and boyishness. Neither felt they were fit to rule, and so they both denied the title of King and left it to their uncle. Where Hadir is shy and timid, Hanir tends to be the voice for both of them. He draws his confidence from his brother and feels a strong need to protect him.
Biography
From birth, Hadir and Hanir were inseparable, like most twins born in Midaska. They had a particular bond and neither were seen without the other, even by their own mother. They took to the wolf blood early and all too enthusiastically, often covered in blood by the time they returned home from hunts. When their father the High King died, Hanir and his brother were strong forces behind their mother and sister -- providing what little support they could offer. The two were overjoyed, though, when their uncle came to take the title of King -- having heard of his exploits and the twins being very curious about beasts and dragons. Appearance

Personality
Both he and his twin brother are known for their mischief and boyishness. Neither felt they were fit to rule, and so they both denied the title of King and left it to their uncle. Hadir is far shyer than his brother, however, and depends on him in any situation where theyâre forced to interact with anyone outside of their family.
