Post 7: Reflective
I’m going ahead and writing my reflective response on the class a little early as I’ve been feeling overwhelmed with the schoolwork that I have left and the many looming deadlines. It has been helping me immensely to take things one assignment or portion of an assignment at a time and, for me, writing my final post feels manageable right now. Overall, I really enjoyed the class. Even at the beginning of the semester when I was unable to be present for the discussions due to morning sickness, I still thought the readings were engaging and the units well thought-out. In the midst of COVID-19 and the unplanned need for an online plan for the rest of the semester, I thought that you did really well with not only still making sure that we all learned, but also with making sure that we were all okay and that the new online plan wasn’t unnecessarily burdensome. After having you for three classes over the course of the past year and a half, I think the thing that I respect the most about you as a professor is that you understand the various accessibility needs of your students. From making sure that we don’t have to buy expensive textbooks that many of us cannot afford to making sure that your class is structured in a way to where students who have to miss class for health or just life reasons can still do well, I never felt panicked or intimidated by your classes. Thank you for being a wonderful professor.
