Here’s my first entry for terumob week 2019! I’m hoping to do at least a few more drabbles for them before the end of the week but who knows for sure? Anyway this is just… the softest domestic college roommate/boyfriends au I’ve ever written so have fun.

As soon as Shigeo opens the apartment door and steps inside, Teru can see that something is wrong.

Shigeo drags his feet, shoulders hunched forward and movements sluggish as he slides off his shoes and hangs his thick winter coat on the hook by the front door. His cheeks and nose are pink from the cold, a stark contrast to the shadows under his dark gray eyes. His lips are turned down into a tense frown, and he sniffles occasionally as the air inside the apartment warms his cold face and makes his nose run.

Teru watches him for a few moments from where he’s washing dishes in the kitchenette, then says, “Rough day?” He reaches up to push away a few strands of hair that have slipped free from his messy ponytail, turning off the tap to give his boyfriend his attention.

Shigeo just hums and moves into the kitchen, propping his backpack up on one of the dining room chairs before moving toward him. Teru’s ready for him, arms held open as Shigeo steps into his space and presses his forehead into the crook of his neck.
