It was short but that didn't help with the pain you were going to be married off to some old creep. And by what your mother wrote she could care less about how this made you feel. What were you supposed to do now?

 What were you going to tell Draco he would be heartbroken would you ever be able to see him again?

 Would you be able to come back to Hogwarts? Would you ever see your friends again?   All the thoughts made your head spin, you didn't want to leave this place, and you didn't want to get married! 

You've heard stupid stories like these thousands of times but you'd never thought it would happen to you. You were on the verge of crying when you heard a knock on your door. 

“Come in!” 

You shouted so the person on the other side could hear and just as you thought the one and only Draco Malfoy walked into your room and plopped down on your bed.

“Ugh, why me,” he whined

You scoffed before pulling your legs up onto the bed so you could sit criss-cross next to Draco. 

“What's got you so worked up?”

You asked as you pushed the silver hair from his eyes. 

“Pansy that's what she sent a letter to my mom my fucking mother and asking if she could get us together and how it would be good for the families and bla bla bla I can’t believe she did that it's disgusting!” 

He complained with his eyes closed as you smoothed his hair back. Things like this often happen  Draco coming to you to vent about things that ticked him off.

You didn't mind of course it was nice to know he trusted you with these things.

“Jeez she could at least take you out for dinner first.” you said with a snicker 

“You're not helping Y/N!” Draco huffed before he flopped his arm over his face dramatically. 

“Why don't you tell your mother that you hate Pansy’s guts? She won't make you marry her if you don't want to, right?” you tried to reassure. that he had nothing to worry about.

Draco only sighed “I wish it was that easy but my parents are pushing marriage on me they want me to be wed before the end of the 7th year. I have no idea what I'm going to do.” 

That hit you now you had no idea what to say to him you laughed nervously.

“Well at least they haven’t married you off to some random creep.” you said trying to lighten the mood Draco shot up out of his lying position and looked at you with wide eyes. 

“Are you getting married!” 

Silence 

“Y/N!” 

He was too clever for his own good sometimes .

Your head fell a little.  

“My mother sent me a letter..” 

You whispered, trying not to let the pent-up emotions out, Draco was shocked he never thought this was going to happen. Your parents never talked about having you married and you never talked about it so he never worried.  

“She said I have to go home over winter break so I could meet him and that they were making wedding plans.” the tears started falling 

“Hay Hay it's going to be ok we still have time to work this out,” he said as he wrapped you in a hug.

“I don't want to get married Draco not to him not yet.'' You said it felt like the world was closing in around you. It felt hard to breathe hard to think you just wanted it to stop.

“Y/N hay you have to breathe,” Draco said he could feel your ragged breathing 

You barely heard what he said over your thoughts until he lifted your face in his hands. 

“I need you to breathe Y/N,” Draco said looking into your teary eyes he took in a deep breath and then let it out. 

“Just like that ok in and out,” he said while he repeated breathing in and out soon your breath evened out and he wiped the tears from your face. 

“Th-thanks,” you said with a sniff. 

“Any time darling,” he said with a smile. 

You both stared for a second before Draco leaned in and so did you. Your lips met and they melted together before he pulled away.

You both were smiling like idiots now and you could feel your face heat up.

“Can we do that again?” you asked right as the words left your mouth Draco had his hands on either side of your face pulling you back into a kiss it was amazing. You couldn't believe this was happening. You were kissing your best friend, the boy you had crushed over since your first year. It was crazy

That was until you heard your door open and in walked the one and only Pansy Parkinson you both pulled away this was not good.

“DRACO!” she yelled wide-eyed as she stomped over to you and Draco. 

“What the hell are you doing making out with HER!” she yelled yanking Draco off your bed by his arm which of course had Draco crashing into the ground due to his lack of balance. 

“What the hell Pansy calm down” you tried to reason with her!” 

*SMACK* 

Everything went silent. Draco had just stood up from his place on the floor when he watched Pansy smack you across the right side of your face.

 “Pansy what the hell!” Draco yelled, pulling her away from you he could see a red handprint start to appear on your cheek. 

“I uh, I'm going to go.” you said before leaving the room your eyes were watering and you had to get out of there. 

“Y/N!”

Draco tried to stop you but you were already gone.

“Ugh Fuck you Pansy.” Draco said before he left to go find you slamming the door behind him. 

It didn't take Draco too long to find you. You were in the astronomy tower. You both went there alot when you wanted to get away or when you wanted to be together.

“Y/N?” Draco called once he got to the top of the tower. 

“I’m uh over here.” you were sitting on a ledge with your legs dangling over the side Draco sat next to you.

“Are you alright? ”Draco asked even though he knew it was a stupid question of course you weren't ok. 

“Yeah I'm fine I just needed some air.” 

Draco sighed “You know I would have loved to see you beat her ass she deserved it.” 

You laughed “I'll get her back later you know when she's not expecting it, maybe even threaten to expose her for sleeping with Goyal  you know just to watch her squirm.” You said nonchalantly whipping you damp cheeks Draco stared at you for a second.

“Wait a minute she slept with Goyal!” Draco said dumbfounded 

You sighed “yep they've been doing it for the last few weeks super gross don't you think.” you laughed, you were happy Draco was here with you that he cared but that would only make leaving him harder. You hadn't noticed him staring until he squeezed your hand. 

“Hello Y/N, are you listening?” 

You snapped out of your deep thoughts. 

“sorry what.” Draco sighed 

“I was saying we should skip our last class tomorrow and go out together?” 

“Like a date?” you asked with a smirk.

“Yeah, a date.” Draco said his cheeks were getting warmer “If that's what you want.” 

You smile “Yeah I’d like that very much.” you were both looking at each other now waiting for one of you to do something 

“Can I kiss you?” Draco asked he knew you wouldn't mind but he still wanted to make sure you were ok with it.

“Of course,” you said softly.

He pulled your face closer with his hand before kissing you. It was slow and passionate; it felt like love. You smiled into the kiss which made Draco smirk. You were both smiling messes when you got back to your common room which greatly confused your fellow Slytherins.
