this is a little weird, but in my dream home I want to have bungee cords and ropes strewn EVERYWHERE. there would be pulleys and little zipline systems all over the place and I could just swing over to anywhere I want to go in my house. I want a roof that I can climb up to and it would have a bunch of weatherproof cushions to relax on. I also want food storage! a BIG freezer that I can put ice creams and meats in, and a pantry big enough that I can reasonably store all my food as well as a complete collection of every single cheez-it flavor ever made. (I don't own this collection yet but I would have this in my house). a washer and dryer would be very nice to have too :)

seriously. I came in expecting like 20 minutes of attention, platitudes instead of real help.

I got just an amazing experience, this wonderful human of a VOLUNTEER counselor stayed with me for TWO HOURS, and throughout this long conversation treated me such with care I nearly cried. They actually let me unpack feelings and talk about coping mechanisms, and listened. I feel so much better.

The fact that people do out there do this work fills me with love and hope for humanity.

I browsed organizations on findahelpline.com and used the crisis text line, there's also ones in my pinned post, please, if you are suicidal or otherwise in mental distress, don't hesitate to reach out.

Sometimes, in the morning, when I ache, when I’m ill, when I just don’t have the energy to do anything. The day can win! We aren’t perfect. No one is an unstoppable force, and you can’t win every fight. So know when to rest, and be ready to show the next day who’s boss! Never, ever give up. Rest isn’t retreat, nor is it giving up. It’s licking your wounds so you can win the next one. Motivation isn’t something you can have 100% of all the time. If you push yourself every day, something’s bound to cave in. So rest.
