So I have been loving you guys' #Suliet stories on AO3 for quite a while now. And I am not a writer yet. But while watching "LaFleur" for the umpteenth time, an old song from the late seventies popped into my head: the Atlanta Rhythm Section's "So Into You". Very sexy, bluesy rock song.
And it just hit me, this would be a song Sawyer and Juliet would love. I can picture them on a Friday or Saturday night, settling into their house for the weekend, playing albums on their turntable, and dancing in their living room, or even on their front porch. Or maybe they get So Into Themselves (pun intended) at a Dharma party, just dance and make out in the middle of it, not caring who sees them.
On a personal note, that is one of my fondest memories of being a kid in the late seventies of my parents' and my aunt and uncles houses were perfect hippy house with wood floors, giant elephant ear or palm plants in plantars all over, antique furniture and kick ass stereo amplifier with tall Bose Speakers that were about as tall as me; with rock and folk music blaring loud and my parent's dancing in the middle of the living room or the kitchen in front of the windows where they were spied by one of my friends on more than one occasion kissing and wrapping themselves in bear hugs. As a kid, I was embarrassed when I'd hear that. But now I think it was so cool.
Anyway, I highly recommend you check out that song, and then maybe write a really cool Suliet story from it??
