#you know what gets me the most about this scene? #that he isn’t the one that reaches out for her first #she has to take his face #in his hallucination she is the one who reaches out to him #she touches him first #in his fantasies #his deepest darkst fantasies that he only lets himself have right before his death #she reaches out for him first #there’s no Rory no River #only the Doctor and his Amy #but he what’s worse is that he knows this is a hallucination #he knows she isn’t really there so he doesn’t dare reach for her first #because she isn’t real #she left him centuries so she can’t possibly be here #but the moment she touches him he doesn’t care #he reaches up and touches her because he’ll believe the hallucination #if it means he can have his Amy one last time
