Brennan’s POV in 6x13

Was she home?

Was she alone?

Was she thinking about how Booth’s relationship seemed so stable Sweets was asking him for advice, how once again they didn’t drink at the end of a case because he went to meet Hannah?

How does she deal with that, still trying to move on but still with the lingering thought that she wanted the chance with him and she lost it?

How does she answer a call from Hannah saying Booth proposed to her? How much does she break for realising he really (apparently) moved on?

How fast does she leave to meet him?

How much do his words hurt her?

How hard is for her to choose to have him in her life in any way she gets to, even when his words hurt her?

there’s little things I appreciate even more over the years and everytime she reminds one of the squinterns to look at the actual bones to let them speak makes me think of many details of medical training as well, of what you can discover seeing, touching, taking the time.

and it’s always her dedication that is so palpable and that I keep relating too even more now that (somehow?) I’m getting to another point in my life

The desert can look so big and hard to pass through, but the journey to find the sea is always worth it.
