At least until I start to annoy her. I’ve heard that’s easy to do.

“By that logic if we’re aging all the father figures in my life, then Klaus is ancient, you and Dad are fossils and Kai is just old.”

“I’m going to ignore that you called me a fossil and Kai just old.”

“Yes, well, some did expect him to remember, so. But, I promise, he heard about you almost as much as he did my dad. In comparison, you and Bonnie are also kinda ancient too, you know.”

“Then they’re idiots because he was just a baby. I fully plan on making sure he knows who I am now. Excuse you though?” He asked raising his eyebrows, “Your dad is ancient. I’m just old.”

“In all seriousness, don’t be offended if he doesn’t remember you. He’s heard stories, but most memories before he was five haven’t really stuck. I’ve had Oliver for nearly twenty years, we have a little seniority over Damien and his girlfriend, but yes I do have that. Trust me, I’m all too aware.”

“Beca, he wasn’t even two when we were separated. I could never expect him to remember me but as long as you told him about me I will call that a win. I’d say you have more than a little seniority over them though, but I’m sure Bonnie could argue that we have seniority over the two of you. That would require me to admit just how whipped I am though.”

“Okay, Damien only knew you for a year, let’s not get ahead of ourselves.” Beca argued, rolling her eyes. “I don’t know, probably. And that has more to do with him being his father’s son, but if it feels better for your ego to take the credit, by all means go ahead.”

“Hey a year is still plenty of time to make an impression,” Enzo reminded her, “But I suppose I can give Oliver some credit considering I can still point out how you have him wrapped around your finger yourself.”

I doubt it’s going to take long.

No I’m sure Bonnie will take you away from me for awhile

I don’t know Bonnie well enough for that to work, but if it makes you feel better go right ahead.

Hopefully know we can change that though.

I have my moments. But it’s only been a few weeks, Dad.

I’ll take that as a no. But yes, I stayed out of trouble. I am capable of behaving sometimes, you know.

Yes well you didn’t get that ability from me then.

I think it’s best that we ignore that little fact. What about you? Did you stay out of trouble.

“She’s beautiful. Katherine says she looks just like me. I haven’t heard of any boys yet, but I’m sure it’s coming eventually, Damien already has a girlfriend and we’ve only been here a few months.”

“Now that I will have to be the judge of,” Enzo pointed out cheerfully, “Damien learned from the best of the best at a young age how to flirt with women. Of course he didn’t have a problem. She also probably has him wrapped around her finger if he’s like me.”

“I’m better now that I’m home. And my babies are together again, which is amazing. And you’re here!” Beca exclaimed, incapable of keeping herself from being happy. “I’m so happy that you’re here.”

“I’m happy to be here. And to kidnap you from the boy of yours as well as those gorgeous kids I have yet to properly meet and spoil. How gorgeous is that daughter of yours? Do we have to beat the guys in town?”
