drugs (kinda), drug dealing, mentions Ni-ki getting high, Jake has a gun; no violence tho, established relationship, cursing,
3,116: WC
holding Jake down at a party you werenât even supposed to be at
Youâre acutely aware of how many girls buy off him.
There are a few of them that heâs known since before you; either he actually met them before you or he got close to them before he got close to you.
Still, you donât doubt your boyfriend.
Whether itâs because heâs never given you a reason to, or because you know they arenât his type, it doesnât matter; youâre secure.
But that doesnât mean it doesnât bug you.
The amount of nude pictures he receives in an attempt to make their payments other ways is actually insane.
And how many of them will flirt with him in front of you while heâs dealing is an embarrassing fact you wouldnât tell anyone even in confidence.
At least Jake is on top of these things.
Sometimes itâs bringing you with him and letting you sit in the passenger seat while he does business.
Other times heâs casually mentioning how heâs looking into your next gift whenever someone asks what he does with all that money.
He makes your position clear; more specifically, he makes it clear that thereâs nothing anyone can do for him or offer him that would make him look the other way.
The only reason this hasnât affected his business is because most of his buyers are guys and couldnât care less about who you are and what youâre doing.
âWanna drive?â Jake asks, slowly turning towards you with a cheeky expression.
You raise your brow, looking up at him where you sat slouched in the passenger.
âReally?â You ask.
Sure, itâs a slow night, but why not just go home?
Jake shrugs, unbuckling his seatbelt as he pulls the door handle out.
Before you can even fully think about it, Jake is outside your door, opening it for you and encouraging you to get out.
âCâmon, switch with me.â He says, holding out his hand for you to take it.
You hop off the car and walk around it, sinking into the driverâs seat even more than you usually would because of how far back his seat is.
You look a little lost, and maybe even slightly intimidated, but Jake is nothing short of excited.
âStep on the brakes and push that button.â He instructs, leaning back in his seat to really watch you in action.
You scoot to the edge of the seat, finding the brake pedal and pressing down on it before pushing the button behind the steering wheel.
âDonât be shy, babyâŚâ he says softly, rolling his window down, âfix the seat, move the mirrors, do what you gotta do.â
It takes a bit to get everything right, but when it is, you find yourself hesitating again.
âAre you sure?â You ask, watching his smile grow into a faint grin.
âWhat makes you so nervous?â He asks.
Should you be honest about having forgotten how to drive?
You havenât sat behind a wheel since you started dating himâŚwhich was almost two years agoâŚ
âItâs a nice carâŚâ you say; usually he drives his Honda, but now that youâre staring at the Chironâs badge in the center of the wheel, you wonder if he did this on purpose.
âAnd nice cars deserve to be driven.â He adds, âjust around the block, youâll like it.â He assures.
You sigh softly, a small nod as you put your seatbelt on.
Itâs not so dramatic, you donât stall and you donât break abruptly, but you donât take advantage of the speed this car can get to.
âThink you can get us to Hongdae?â He asks, finishing up a text before he picks his gaze up.
âUhhâŚmaybeâŚâ you say, scanning the street signs to find your way.
âIâll get you an address soon, thereâs a party Ni-ki wants me at.â He says, becoming slightly engrossed in his phone as he starts getting multiple texts in the same minute.
It takes you about six minutes; then it takes two to get to the house he needs you to get to, and Ni-ki marks it for you by standing outside with two girls.
You know one of them very wellâa little more than youâd like to.
âOh shitâŚâ Ni-ki chuckles, leaning forward slightly to peek into the window.
âThis is a good look for you, Jake. You make a much better passenger prince than a driver.â He says, putting his hands on the door.
âGet your hands off my shit, Ni-ki.â He sighs, rolling his eyes.
âWhat do you want?â He asks, reaching inside his jacketâs inner pocket.
âSame thing I usually get.â Ni-ki says, actually listening as he straightens up.
âAnd she wants some tooâŚwhat did you say you wanted?â Ni-ki says, scratching the back of his head as he turns towards her.
âI got it, I know her.â Jake says, finding what he needs.
Thereâs an awkward pause where Jake holds everything but doesnât hand it over, and even you tilt your head at him in confusion.
âYou arenât going to make me walk over there, are you?â Ni-ki asks, almost in disbelief.
âBaby doesnât touch anything, Iâm not going to make her hand it to you.â Jake shrugs, gesturing to his own window.
Ni-ki rolls his eyes, making his way around the car towards him.
They do the exchange casually, so quickly, that you wouldnât notice it if you were watching them from afar.
Jake whispers something to Ni-ki and it causes his gaze to shift to the girl for a second before he nods and backs up a bit.
âSo I guess thatâs a no on lighting up with us, huh.â Ni-ki says, shoving his hands in his pockets.
âWeâve been friends for six years now, itâs starting to hurt me that you keep asking me that.â Jake sighs, clutching his chest dramatically.
Then he looks at you, âwanna get off?â He asks.
You glance at the girls, then Ni-ki, then Jake.
âOhâŚuh, sureâŚâ you say, taking your chance to get out of the driverâs seat.
But also, if he goes inside, he might sell everything he has in minutes and youâll make something productive out of an otherwise slow night.
âWeâll see you inside.â Jake nods, prompting Ni-ki to go on ahead.
You wait a bit and then drive down the street a bit to find a place to park.
âTurn around, babyâŚâ Jake says sweetly, cupping your chin for a second before he pulls back and waits for you to do it.
You know what it is, where it stays, and where itâs going.
But for some reason, he thinks itâs important you donât physically see it, so you donât get to.
And once he has everything, you both make your way inside to a party that wonât die down any time soon.
You start to think that your night was slow up until then because it seems like all the people that do buy from him are here.
The amount of people that dab him up as he leads you through the crowd is high, but the amount that comes up to him after for something is even higher.
No one buys much on their own; a few rolled, mostly enough pills to entertain themselves and not whoever theyâre with.
It really is everyone for themselves in this, isnât it?
Eventually it starts to calm down, and thatâs because thereâs one other guy like Jake at this party, and heâs already supplied most of it himself.
Jake doesnât mind though, now he gets to enjoy a drink with you instead of âworking.â
Ni-ki joins up with you eventually once heâs high, and heâs with the same two girls after apparently having helped one out with some of his own plus whatever he bought the other.
She canât have Jake, so sheâs after his friend who already has the same hobby?
âWaaaitâŚyou donât smoke?â Jiwoo asks, sheâs the one youâre unfamiliar with.
Jake shakes his head, finishing up the rest of his drink before he sets it down on the counter behind you.
Then his hand slips back into your back pocket, casually keeping his hand on your ass that way.
âIâve tried it, itâs just not my thing.â Jake shrugs, not really caring to explain more to some random.
âJaehyun does.â Yejin says suddenly, looking off to the side as she does; this is one of the girls that sends him pictures whenever he asks for payment.
One quick glance in the same direction gives you a view at the other dealer here, making his way towards your little group.
âAlmost makes you wonder just how safe your stuff is.â She adds, sliding into his arm.
Ni-ki rolls his eyes, backing up slightly; maybe thatâs what Jake talked to him about earlier.
âWhatâs up,â Jaehyun says, his voice low in the most obviously forced way as he extends his arm out.
If Ni-ki and Jake do anything, itâs to keep the peace; especially Jake, he doesnât want drama right now.
âWhat did you bring?â Jaehyun asks, looking down on Jake a bit.
âDonât tell me you ran out already,â Jake asks condescendingly, tilting his head.
Is it bad that you find him the most attractive here?
âLetâs trade for it, I wanna see what Yeji smokes.â He says, reaching into his pocket to pull out a thin blunt.
Jake scoffs through a laugh, but you make a face at it; does he really expect Jake to take some tiny thing thatâs been in his pocket for something of his?
âSure, manâŚwhatever.â Jake shrugs, reaching into his own jacket.
In the process, he accidentally reveals the gun tucked into his jeans as his hoodie lifts up slightly.
You notice how Jaehyunâs expression shifts slightly, his eyes widen slightly, maybe in surprise but more so like heâs storing this away in his head.
As for the trade, itâs not even biased; Jakeâs are a little thicker and come out of a bag, theyâre cleaner by a mile.
At least they leave after that.
And Jake actually tosses Jaehyunâs in the trash once theyâre out of view.
Jake sells almost everything after an hourâall he has left are a few pillsâand itâs when he decides to leave.
âYouâre gonna have to drive again, babyâŚwhatever that wasâŚâ he leads, looking at the second cup he finished.
âYeah, I got it.â You assure, accepting the responsibility this time because the situation is different.
You could have left then, but you had to make sure Ni-ki was fine and had to let him know that you two were leaving.
You really could have left earlier; all you get is small waves from a guy too busy making out with someone on the same level as him.
Seriously, you should have left then.
Because if you had, you wouldnât be right in front of the door when two cops push past whoever answered the door to get inside.
In the commotion their announcement causes, you and Jake get pushed off to the side, still nearby, but not in their direct view.
As much as Jake tries to make himself seem collected, heâs holding your hand too tightly to not give away how worried he actually is.
You get a look at the guy who had answered the door; eyes red enough that you can only assume he stinks of it.
So you make a decision then, whether itâs related to the reason the cops came in or not.
âGive them to me.â You say softly, turning your back to the cops and blocking his front side.
âWhat?â Jake asks, coming out of his head for a second.
âNo.â He denies firmly, brows creased slightly.
âYou canât possibly know everyone you sold to, if someone points you out youâll get arrested.â You remind.
If he were sober, heâd take this like the man he prides himself on being; even if it meant going to jail for possession.
But in his state, the panic sets in first and he gives you his last little bag without another protest.
You drop it in your boot, then you hold out your hand again, which is met with confusion.
âWhat?â He asks, watching one of the cops search the guy who answered the door.
âThe gunâŚâ you add, as lowly as you can manage it.
God, youâre an idiot.
But itâs his fault you arenât better prepared for this.
This time he hesitates a little more, but he does hand it over too, and you tuck it inside your jacket, just like he does.
âBe careful-â he says, cutting himself off when you walk away from him without a second glance.
Jake nervously stands by the door, watching more people get pulled up and as one of the cops calls for back up.
Weed is very much illegal in South Korea, so even just the ones that are caught high off it are getting arrested for investigation.
You sit through the longest 5 minutes of your life standing beside a group of girls who look clean; and itâs after those five minutes that your worst case scenario comes true.
Yejin is searched; sheâs one of the only girls up there with them.
And just as the cop finishes up with her, she says something that causes the cops to look at the crowd.
âI need a Sim Jaeyun, where are they?â The cop calls out.
But for whatever relationship she was trying to protect jaehyun with, the other guy being searched gave him up too.
âAnd a Lee jaehyun, please.â Another calls out, patting the guy heâd just searched on the shoulder to make him stand with the others.
Jake is smart; if he has nothing on him and is just drunk, then thereâs no reason why he should hide out.
And itâll look better if he comes forward himself instead of waiting to be picked out.
You watch from the staircase; the ridges of the gun in your jacket lining your pocket are a small reminder to not worry, but you canât help it.
You see as Jake approaches the cop, has a small conversation with him before he nods, probably consenting to the search.
And itâs as they start that process that a third cop brings Jaehyun up to the front with them.
Itâs another long wait, but itâs cut short by a fifth and six cop who approach the group of girls youâre with.
âYou ladies have a ride waiting?â One of them asks, he looks young, maybe not as young as you, but younger than his partner.
One of the girls nods and shows her his phone; thankfully the ride share she has was for a large SUV, so even if itâs just three of them whoâd fit in a normal car, the large vehicle allows you to blend in with them.
âAlright, you girls have a good night, get yourselves home.â The older one says, looking at you as he says this.
You take your chance immediately, walking behind the girls and right past the cops at the front thanks to something the younger cop said over their radio.
Jake doesnât acknowledge you; he keeps his head low as the cops put him off to the side to focus more on Jaehyun and the blunt they found in his pocket.
You watch as one more cop car pulls in front of the house, and you sit in Jakeâs car, on the brink of shitting bricks if Jake doesnât get out of this tonight.
You already tucked the gun back into its compartment in the glove box, and you stuffed the baggie under the seat.
But the fact that you actually held both just proves why Jake had been so adamant on keeping you from doing exactly that before.
âJakeâŚâ you sigh, unlocking the car once you see him walking up to the car from the side mirrors.
He gets in quickly, looking at you for a moment with relief and some embarrassment as he rubs his chin gently.
âDonâtâŚdrive off yet.â He says, leaning forward slightly to check the mirrors himself.
âIs everything okay? Did they tell you anything?â You ask, also relieved but still worried by how on edge he still is.
âNo, yeah, everything is fine.â He nods, suddenly remembering everything at once.
âWhereâs the-â he says suddenly, reaching out towards you.
âI put it away.â You assure, looking over at the glove box.
He runs his hands over his face and through his hair: the scare probably sobered him up, he seems a lot more conscious now.
âYou know where it goes, donât you?â He asks, looking at you for a moment.
You nod, âitâs not like I peek.â You try to explain,
âBut I can hear you prying the plasticâŚI just assumedâŚâ you admit.
âGod, babyâŚâ he says, a deep inhale as he starts to get over this.
âShould I drive now?â You ask, wanting the night to be over already.
He shakes his head, reaching over the center towards you.
âI donât want them to follow us. Weâll leave after they do.â He says, taking your hand in both of his.
âNever again, okay, baby?â He says, kissing your hand through one of his.
âI will never ask you to do that, and you canât ever let me.â He adds.
âWhatâŚâ you whine a little, leaning closer over the center.
âBut you could have gotten in trouble,â you point out.
âI would have.â He agrees, âJae had his own on him, they did arrest him.â
âSee?â You quickly argue, hesitant to say youâd do it again.
âPromise me.â He says, shaking his head at any further protest.
You donât do it right away, but you fail to come up with something to get around it tonight.
âI promiseâŚâ you sigh, sinking in your seat a little.
âThatâs my girlâŚâ he praises, one final kiss on your hand before he lowers it.
But for a guy whoâs barely even sober, and just got through his first big scare, heâs anything but normal.
âFuckâŚI love youâŚâ he says suddenly, sitting back in his seat for less than a second before heâs leaning over the center.
âJakeâŚâ you say softly, closing your eyes a bit as he peppers your face with kisses.
âI know, but you really came through, babyâŚâ he sighs softly, stopping for a second to consider this possibility before he cups your face to make you look at him.
âIâm gonna buy you something bigâŚa car, maybe.â He says.
âPlease donâtâŚâ
âDoes my baby want her own house?â
âI want my boyfriend to be more cautious about the people he sells to.â
âRight, rightâŚâ
âWhat about a dog? Those big onesâŚthe, uhhâŚDobermans.â
âJake.â
âOkay, sorryâŚâ

(failed) double date with hoon ft. Jake

For the last week or so, Jake has come over every single day; always arriving at some point in the late morning, and leaving not long after you get home from work.
Itâs hard to mind though; Jake knows and respects his boundaries as a guest and hardly overstays or makes things awkward.
And one brief conversation with your boyfriend reveals that Jake just feels lonely and doesnât have more friends with as much freedom as Sunghoon, who he can hang out with at these insane hours of the day.
This weekend, he actually spends the night because he and Sunghoon had drunk a little too much before you got home.
for someone who lived alone for the first few months when they moved hereâŚand someone who has very few friendsâŚJakeâs presence is anything but annoying.
And heâs considerate; only Jake would think to thank you with breakfastâbut that might just be because he and Sunghoon need a good soup to get them through this hangover.
âI didnât think youâd want soupâŚI got you a latte and a breakfast sandwich.â Jake explains, pushing a bag from a completely different place towards you.
Just before you can actually thank him, he and Sunghoon get to eating immediately.
You take a quick look at the bag that belonged to their restaurant; itâs unfamiliar to you, and Sunghoon has never mentioned it as a favorite, but he really seems to enjoy it now.
You donât ask only because the sandwich in your hands is still warm and smells incredible, so you join them in their quiet eating instead.
Slowly as their mood begins to improve, the three of you start talking about your plans for today; Jake is busy and heâll be leaving soon.
He doesnât say this, but he feels like heâs overstayed this time and plans to leave after breakfast and not come back today.
Just as youâre finishing up, he becomes engrossed in his phone and seems to be texting the same person; responding to each text as soon as itâs sent the way the other person seems to be responding to his.
âYou really need to stop talking to her.â Sunghoon sighs, finishing up first.
âYeah, I knowâŚâ Jake groans, finishing up one last text before he puts his phone down.
You want to be nosey and ask what theyâre talking about, but you figure youâd just ask Sunghoon later.
âShe hasnât cancelled on me yet though, maybe tonight is the night we actually go out.â He adds.
âOr you could just find someone else to go out with.â Sunghoon suggests.
âWerenât you the one who told me I should stop talking toââ
âNot her.â Sunghoon quickly interrupts, face palming himself at the realization that his friend really is that stupid.
âWhy is it so hard for you to find and talk to a nice, decent girl?â
Jake rolls his eyes at this, glancing at you and realizing theyâd kept you out of this conversation for the most part.
âWhat about you?â Jake prompts, âdo you know any nice, decent girls?â He asks, mimicking Sunghoon perfectly minus the actual voice.
You consider it for a moment; you canât tell whether heâs joking or not, and neither of them give any indication of what they want you to respond with.
âActually, I might.â You correct gently, watching their expressions switch as Sunghoonâs drops and Jakeâs lights up.
âReally?â Jake asks, perking up as Sunghoon actually sinks in his place.
Maybe you should have kept that to yourselfâŚ
âIt mightâve changed since I last spoke to her, but I wouldnât mind asking.â You say, trying to find yourself a way out so itâs not a promise.
âWe can go on a double dateâ itâll be sick-â Jake suggested excitedly, looking at you and then Sunghoon as possibility got him excited .
Who are you to break Jakeâs heart? If it isnât the friend you have in mind, surely youâd be able to find someone else to set him up with.
âThat could be fun,â you agree, nodding and smiling in a way that shows heâs hyping you up to the same level heâs at.
You completely miss Sunghoonâs gestures to not give or agree for more, not in time anyway; not until you see him rubbing his temples across from where Jake sits while he cancels on the girl who he was originally going to go out with.
But you wait to bring it up until after Jake leaves, which is soon after because he really needs to go.
âJake can beâŚâ Sunghoon trails, pursing his lips a little as he tries to find a nicer word for what his friend is.
âI just donât want you to fall out with your friend because she had a bad time with him.â He explained, cutting straight to the point as he figured it was just better.
âJake?â You say, mostly in disbelief.
âI like him, and you might like him because heâs our friend, but Jake isnât the boyfriend type.â
âThereâs a reason heâs only been in one relationship in the entire time you and I have been togetherâŚand you remember how long that actually lasted.â He sighs, shaking his head gently as he tosses everything into the garage bin.
You watch and follow as he walks away from you to do this; âoh, but she was horrible.â You acknowledge, making a face at the memory.
âDonât let him hear you say that.â He says, a firm glance at you before he walks back to the kitchen island to put away whatever condiments and sides were left over.
âThereâs someone for everyone, maybe my friend can change him.â You suggest, a small shrug.
âItâs your funeral,â he shrugs, âand by yours, I mean yours and JakeâsâŚI had nothing to do with this.â He adds.
Now that heâs done, youâre standing in front of each other and facing each other properly.
âDonât be mean, heâs your friend.â You say softly, a small frown.
âAnd if he wants to drink beer and play video games on my couch, like he has been for an entire week now, Iâm there for him. But I am not getting involved in his love life, and I suggest you try to stay within the bounds of what you did today.â He says, ending the conversation there.
âNow, Iâd really like to spend time with my girlfriend because I havenât done so properly in the last week. So, can I?â He says after a little pause.
âI guessâŚâ you sigh, extending your arm out so heâd take your hand.
He smiles, taking it and bringing it up to kiss your knuckles before using it to lead you to your bedroom.
Youâre only awake for a little longer; he convinces you to go back to bed with him and have a late morning since you donât have much else to do.
Despite his warnings, you canât help yourself.
Sunghoon is a guyâa guy with a girlfriend at thatâheâs unreliable in this because not only does he not know what Jake is going through, but he also probably doesnât want to ask.
But youâre empathetic, and whether itâs what Jake needs or not, why wouldnât you help if you could?
So you ignore your boyfriend, just this once, to do exactly what you promised Jake youâd do.
You work with the friend youâd mentioned briefly, so you see her at work a few days later when youâre scheduled together, and you hover.
Maybe you should have planned it out better; all you have is a picture of Jake from a video Sunghoon sent you when they were in Japan and a vague description of his personality.
âYou wanna take lunch together? I actually remembered to pack something today.â Yejin asks, looking at you over her shoulder as she finishes charting.
âYeah, sure.â You nod, taking this as some kind of sign to push through.
You both finish up your tasks, clock out, and eventually find yourselves in the break room with your lunches.
Yejin goes to school with you too; sheâs one of the closer friends you have and you talk almost every day.
Thatâs how youâre rationalizing this and why youâre under the impression that sheâs single.
âJi, can I ask you something?â You say softly, hand over your mouth as you finish chewing something.
âMhm,â she nods, her mouth full.
âAre you seeing anyone right now? Talking to anyone?â You ask, trying to sound as least invasive as you can manage.
Her eyes widen, as if you reminded her of something.
âI am!â She says excitedly, grabbing her phone to show you.
Wait, what?
Yejin proceeds to show you pictures dating back a month of her on these dates with a guy she keeps slightly hidden in pictures that fall just short of his face.
âIâve been meaning to tell you for like a week now, and it always slips away from meââ she says, surprised as if you were psychic.
âHow did you know? Am I glowing?â She asks, half serious, half curious as to how you knew to ask when youâve never been the nosy type.
âJust had a hunchâŚI guessâŚâ you lie, a small smile as you try to get back to your lunch.
In her excitement, she spends your entire lunch talking about her new boyfriend and eating much quicker than you as a result of it.
Eventually, she leaves you with your lunch in the break room to get back to work to help one of your seniors with their workload.
Itâs only once sheâs out that you finally relax a bit, letting out a soft sigh as you take this as another sign, this time to do what Sunghoon told you to do and leave it alone; sorry, Jake.
âWhatâs up with you?â
You recognize the voice quickly, but it still startles you with how suddenly it appears beside you as its person sits beside you.
âJihyeâ you say absentmindedly, shaking your head gently.
âNothing, sorry. Am I in your way?â You ask, scooting over a bit so you arenât taking up so much space.
âNot at all,â she assures, waving you off.
Jihye is another girl you work with, but youâre hardly ever scheduled together, so you donât see her too often.
Sheâs sweet, but much more intimidating than someone so pretty should be.
âYou seem bummed out, is your lunch that bad?â She asks, gesturing at your container with her spoon.
âI mean, itâs just salad, so yeah, kinda.â You acknowledge, a small nod.
âBut no, thatâs not what has me like this.â You admit, taking some of her fruit as she offers them to you.
âI was trying to set up Yejin with my boyfriendâs friend, but I guess she started seeing someone, and I sorta already promised I had someone for him.â You explain, speaking with your mouth slightly full.
âYeah, that sort of thing never works out. Itâs so awkward for the people involved if the date goes wrong.â Jihye nods, and you can already imagine what Sunghoon will say about this if even she has the same mentality.
âI just feel bad.â You add, âHe has absolutely nothing else to do, so heâs been spending entire days with my boyfriend and leaves only after I get home.â
âOhâŚâ she gasps softly, eyes widening a little, âis he getting in the way ofâŚâ she prompts, making a small gesture with her eyebrows.
âNo, itâs not like that.â You sigh, completely forgetting youâre talking to your coworker and not a friend.
Jihye seems to notice when you notice, and she can only chuckle.
âSorry, thatâs probably not something you want to talk about while you eatâŚâ you say sheepishly, but she just waves you off once more.
âI asked.â She reminded, âwell, arenât you going to show me?â
Your eyes actually light up a bit at thisâNo way are you actually going to manage this.
âOh, sure,â you agree, a little too quickly even in the way you open up your phone.
âActually, I think I do have his socialsâŚlet me justâŚâ you trail, going through Sunghoonâs account to find Jakeâs.
This is much better than the brief video you were originally going to show Yejin.
âJake?â Jihye reads out, scrolling through his account while you sit back.
âJaeyun,â you correct gently, imagining it would make a better impression on her than his English name.
âHeâs younger than me by a year. You said heâs your boyfriendâs friend?â She asks, raising a brow at the birthday post sheâs seeing.
Oh-oh.
âYeahâŚmy boyfriendâs just a little older than me.â You acknowledge, hopefully she doesnât think youâre crazy.
âHeâs cute,â she says, handing you your phone back.
âYou think so?â You ask, taking it back as you perk back up.
âIs he like your boyfriend? Into younger girls?â She asks casually. You almost fail to realize sheâs setting herself up to be considered.
âNo, I donât think so.â You assure, âWould you mind if I bring you up? Unless, you arenât singleâŚâ you add.
Jihye smiles a little as she shakes her head; she believed she was being obvious before; maybe youâre just a little oblivious.
âI am, and you should.â She encourages, âYou have my number, but let me give you my socials; you can show it to him.â She says, asking for your phone to put it in.
You donât get much more time with her after this since you took lunch earlier than her, but you leave work with something, which is definitely better than nothing.
And youâd kept it to yourself since you expected Jake to be there when you got home, which of course, you were also right about.
âHello, my love.â Sunghoon says sweetly, expecting you to greet him first and as soon as you've found him.
âHey,â you say quickly.
Instead of hugging him like he wanted you to by holding his arms out, you kiss his cheek and take his place beside Jake.
âHow do you feel about age differences?â You ask, pursing your lips slightly as you look at Jake.
âLikeâŚyou and him?â He asks, a little concerned, âIâm not sure I can handle that kind of dynamicâŚâ he admits.
âIâm being a little dramatic; itâs just a year, but sheâs the older one.â You admit, already on your phone and with Jihyeâs socials open.
âOh, hmmâŚâ Jake trails, leaning closer to you once you turn your phone in his direction.
Sunghoon, both intrigued and slightly annoyed, sits on the smaller sofa off to the side; watching as Jakeâs expression shifts and he takes your phone.
âSheâsâŚgorgeousâŚâ Jake says lowly, almost making you second-guess your decision to bring her up.
Of course, knowing Jake just a little more than you, Sunghoon understands the pause came from aâŚdifferent place, not from a lack of words.
And this is exactly why Jake canât get a relationship started; heâs too busy thinking with a different part of his body that has nothing more to offer than just the one thing.
âI didnât bring up the double date in case youâd prefer to take her out yourself. Do you want me to give you her number?â You ask, holding your hand out for your phone.
âWhat did you tell her?â He asks, giving you your phone.
âUhhâŚâ you hesitate, somehow, neither of them thinks to question why, âthat you were single? And who you were to me...Oh, and I introduced you as Jaeyun, so I donât know how you want to go about that.â
Jihyeâs smart, she wouldnât go into detail about what you two actually talked about; but then again, you donât know her all that well outside of work.
And once he has her number, Jake is just as enthusiastic as he was the day before.
âYou knowâ I have ALWAYS liked you,â he says, âout of all my friendsâ girlfriends you are by far my favorite.â
A little embarrassed, you can only smile a little and accept the compliment; but Sunghoon can only think about how full of it Jake isânot even light switches flip this fast.
âThatâs likeâŚtwo other girls.â Sunghoon sighs, rolling his eyes.
âAnd your girlfriend is number ONEâshe gets stuff done.â Jake continues.
Because of something Jake has to do today, he has to leave a lot sooner than he usually does after you get home.
âDid you ever consider that maybe I liked having him around?â Sunghoon asked, indirectly pointing out the fact that youâre still doing what he told you not to do.
âDid you?â You ask, walking over to where heâs sitting to sit with him.
âMaybeâŚâ he shrugs, bringing his legs up on the couch so heâd take up all the space available.
Why is he being difficult all of a sudden?
âYou texted me the other day, begging me to come home earlier because Jake wanted to go to a party...â you remind, crossing your arms as you sit in his lap.
Sunghoon grins, sliding his arms around you almost as soon as you sit down.
âYeah, I didâ he acknowledges, âI feel a little badâŚfor being so annoyed with himâŚâ he admits, a small frown as he leans back and shifts his hips under you a little.
âYou get on my nerves sometimes, I never feel bad.â You shrug, leaning forward slightly to wrap your arms around his neck.
âIf you think you got one over me because you got him a date, youâre adorable.â He says, âone of two things will happen by tomorrow,â he begins, bringing one hand up to count off on his fingers.
âEither Jake will say something that will make things awkward between you and your friend.â
âOr, you and I will have to watch in real time how bad he is at having a decent conversation with a girl, and then things will be awkward between you and your friend.â He finishes off, so sure of himself in this matter.
There is the third possibility, but he doesnât want you to think badly of Jake; especially not when the girls he manages to sleep with are exactly like him.
âWell, sheâs a coworker. So whatever Jake does doesnât have any real effect on me.â You say; he can tell youâre trying to make it seem like you donât care, but he knows youâre just as excited as Jake seem like he is.
âWowâŚI didnât think you were capable of submitting someone you didnât know to such a thing.â He says, genuinely slightly surprised.
âMmmâŚIâll tell you about it eventually, it was actually a weird interactionâŚreally easy in a way.â You say vaguely, only thinking about this now.
It actually takes days for any plans to be made; it ends up happening a week later and youâre completely in the dark because you were never scheduled with Jihye again after the day you spoke to her about Jake.
Sunghoon isnât though.
Actually, he knows everything; Jake spares him no details and involves him more than he should just because he had no idea how to talk to someone he didnât work for.
He gave Jake the benefit of the doubt, especially seeing Jake try to make something genuine out of this.
So he doesnât tell you more than anyone usually knows;
âItâs going good, theyâre talking every day.â
âJake has this thing today and your friend is busy the next day, so theyâre still working out a day.â
âHave you talked to your friend? Has she said anything about Jake?â
And itâs this way until the weekend Jake and Jihye make a decision and give you and Sunghoon a date.
Admittedly, you were very excitedâyou just donât know why.
Maybe itâs the type of date? A double date actually sounds fun, but maybe you just think that because youâve never been on one.
Regardless of why youâre excited, you put a lot of effort into getting ready for it.
You arenât trying anything specifically new; you just put a little more care into the things you already do: a more coordinated outfit; a pair of boots youâd put off on wearing; your favorite earrings.
Even Sunghoon points out how good you look tonight, but he doesnât pin it to it being only because of where youâre going; he just thinks you outdid yourself tonight.
And he just HAS to do something about it; otherwise, he might explode.
âMmmâŚdo we really have to go?â He asks, stopping you from leaving the apartment to pull you into a quick kiss.
The door is wide open; if any of your neighbors were to pass, theyâd get a full view of Sunghoon smothering you against a wall.
âWeâre going to be lateâŚâ you say, turning your head to the side so the only thing he could kiss were your cheeks.
âJust oneâŚweâre still here; you can fix it up if I smudge itâŚâ he says, peppering you with some more that eventually convince you to give it to him.
Some more time is spent here even after because he needs to wipe your gloss off, and you need to retouch it.
And after what feels like forever, you two make your way to the restaurant youâre set to see Jake and Jihye at.
Itâs sweet that you thought youâd be late; you two wasted almost what? 15 minutes? Yet youâre the first to arrive, and youâre seated just to keep the reservation Sunghoon had made himself.
Tonight started perfectly for Sunghoon, but as the minutes start to pass, his irritation with Jake returns, and somehow he blames himself for believing tonight would be any different.
But regardless of how he feels, you arenât to blame; so while you grow a little antsy, Sunghoon remains calm and just waits until he can get you to do something else.
âTheyâre lateâŚâ you point out, checking your phone for both the time and any missed messages or calls.
Of course, there arenât any; yet Sunghoon doesnât seem surprised.
âBy how long?â He asks, looking at you with a neutral expression.
Despite how even his voice is, the way heâs looking at you while he sits across from you with his chin resting against his palm feels smug.
â20 minutes.â You answer, a small frown as you lean back slightly.
Without moving, he reaches over the table with his other arm; holding his palm out towards you, gesturing for you to take his hand.
You donât do it right away, mostly because it does annoy you a little; but when you realize you have no real reason to be upset, you reach over and put your hand in his.
âTheyâre not coming.â He says, running his thumb over your knuckles.
âHow sure are you?â You ask, still a little hopeful.
âBabyâŚâ he sighs, bringing his arm down.
âOkay, fine. You were right.â You cave, pulling your arm back to cross your arms.
He has half a mind to punch Jake the next time he sees him, even just once, just for wasting your time; but he knew better, and he let you go along with it anyway, so if anyone is to blame itâs him.
âLetâs get out of here, weâll eat somewhere else.â He says, looking around for your waiter to ask for the check.
âWhy not just eat here?â You ask, watching him take out his wallet and then his card to hand it to the waiter once he came around.
âTheir wine is horrible, Iâm not going to make you eat here.â He says, shaking his head as he spoke only after the waiter left.
He has you both out of the restaurant in less than three minutes, and even if you had all that time to make a decision on where youâd go, you fall short by the time you get in the car.
âCanât you pick? Why does it always have to be me?â You whine a little, slumping in your seat.
âIâm not picky, you are.â He reminds gently, taking a moment in the parking lot so he doesnât drive mindlessly.
âI really want a burger right nowâŚâ he admits softly, considering it only because you prompted him to; really, heâs just trying to show you how you arenât actually okay with a decision heâd make.
âI didnât come to study in Seoul so I could eat burgers in my free timeâŚâ you sigh, but just before he could look at you with that annoying âtold you soâ expression, you cave, âbut yeah, I guessâŚwhatever floats your boat or whatever.â You add.
âWe donât say that hereâŚâ he says, rolling his eyes.
âYou donât get to pick and choose what Koreans do and donât do; youâre literally about to go eat burgers.â
âWhat I really want is a burger from the StatesâŚgod, I love the StatesâŚâ he says, reminiscing.
You only realize heâs trying to distract you from the failed date after he makes enough of his really bad dad jokes the entire way to the other restaurant.
And maybe thatâs also why he suggests you eat in his car instead; if your plans were thrown off, why do something predictable when he could cheer you up another way?
He gets off and grabs the food for both of you, eventually coming back with more bags than should be necessary before he gets into the driverâs seat.
You hold them all while he takes his jacket off, and then he takes them from you so you can do whatever you need to for you to get comfortable.
âThis is dessert; weâre not gonna touch this yet.â He says, placing a bag behind the seats before he starts pulling boxes out of the biggest bag.
On the center console, two hamburgers are placed between the two of you; alongside that are a few other items just in case you really donât want the burger; then, two drinks placed in the cup holders to finish everything off.
âWould you really eat two of them all by yourself?â You ask, a little curious as you look over everything to see what you want.
âCanât be wasteful now, can I?â He shrugs.
âI wonder what Jake and Jihye are doingâŚâ you mumble, picking something up.
âI donât.â He says quickly, short like he knows exactly what they did instead.
Maybe you shouldnât askâŚ
It looks like he might hurt Jake if you remind him.

Okay back to writing i go
Ughhh i love ur okder bf sunghoon ficsssss they give me sooo muchhh joyyytđĽšđĽšđĽš
Iâm so glad !! â sometimes I lwk worry that Iâll make it too weird and make hoon look bad đ
If I can finish it by tonight I think Iâll be able to post another tmr đ
Hi! I saw in one of ur older bf sunghoon fics that u wanted to use those pretty text colors and ive been in the same boat bas literally nobody was telinggggg me!! I think it only works when your on laptop or smtg bcs i havent figured out how to do it on mobile..
1. Use the website patorik.com text color fader
2. Once u choose ur colors, ur gonna generate it and its gonna give u a html text. So ur gonna highlight the entire thing (there's a feature for that on the web)
3. Then go to tmblr, edit one of ur fics or make a new post, then theres that little setting button, and then go to âtext editorâ which by default would say rich text, click on it and then choose HTML.
4. From there youâll paste the html u copypasted from patorjk and then all u gotta u is switch it back to rich text the same way
5. Pretty color text đâđť
I ran into the same problem of trying to find it on my phoneâs safari â Iâd done everything else by following a tutorial but I couldnât find the drop menu to find the HTML text on my tiny lil screen đ
Im gonna try again when I post tmr using ur steps instead cause your website is so much better than the one I had

pairing: inexperiencedbf!jungwon x inexperiencedgf!reader
NSFW (mdni): idk how to tag so take these with a grain of salt pls; starts in the shower but ends in bed, cursing, breast play, fingering, handjob, making out, praise and affirmations, need for approval, unprotected â won has weak pull out game, reader doesnât care and won is mortified.
You and jungwon have your first time together on a trip to Thailand on the hottest day of your trip.
smut should probably not be this long ⌠sry ⌠Iâm finishing up more olderbf!hoon tho đ
âItâs so hotâŚâ you sigh, fanning yourself with your hand as you enter your hotel room.
âAnd humidâŚâ he adds, lagging behind while he closes and locks the door.
Maybe you should have done a bit more research before blindly following Jake and his girlfriend to Thailand in JulyâŚ
But then again, how were either of you supposed to know that June/July is their rainy season?
A shower would be nice, but youâre so out of it right now that you donât want to do anything but sit under the ceiling fan above the bed.
âWater?â he calls out, half-kneeling beside the mini fridge under the desk in the room.
âYes, please.â You answer quickly, lying on your back now that youâre a bit cooler.
âBaby, get upâŚyouâre all sweatyâŚâ he sighs, sitting on the floor near the bed instead as he places the water bottle on your thigh to shock you with it.
âJungwon-â you exclaimed, pushing the bottle off after it did much to irritate you.
Maybe it was a little harsh, but who knows if you would have listened the first time?
âIâm sorry, but they just did the housekeeping for the room this morning, so you really want us sleeping in your sweat?â He says, an apologetic expression as he hands out the bottle again as an offering.
You know heâs right, but that doesnât mean you didnât hate it.
âWhoâs going to shower first?â You ask, slowly bringing the bottle up to your cheek.
Itâs different because youâre doing it to yourselfâand slowly at thatâbut you donât care to explain it even as he narrows his eyes at you.
You have to wait until after he finishes chugging his water to get a reply.
âYou can go first.â He says, running his hands over his face and through his hair; slicking his hair back.
You feel bad for being glad that heâs so considerate; but you genuinely believed youâd fight him on this.
âIâll be quick.â You assure him, but both of you know thatâs not going to happen; youâre incapable of measuring your time in the shower.
âYup.â He acknowledges, leaning into his hands as he considers that he might be delirious from the heat.
You spend no more than a minute grabbing your travel bag and the clothes youâll change into, but the minute you close the door, something in him shifts.
The heat is making him irritable, and he plans on knocking on the door in 10 minutes if you arenât done by then.
He does knockâexactly ten minutes later tooâbut you donât respond, and itâs when he abuses the fact that you donât lock the door.
âIâm coming in.â He calls out, opening the door just enough to shout into it but not enough to see anything until you acknowledge what he said.
âWhat?â You call back out, seeing the door slightly ajar before you see your boyfriend walk in.
The shower is made of glass, but itâs not exactly transparent; you can see the door open and his head poke in, and it startles youâbut he can only see the vague outline that is you, and itâs brief.
âJungwon!â You call out, your arms covering your chest instinctively.
This is really pushing it, but he doesnât mean to make you uncomfortable, and he just hopes you understand that much with his gesture to keep his back to you.
âI donât wanna be like that, but itâs been more than 15 minutes.â He says, speaking as loudly as he can without yelling.
Heâs joking, right?
âIâll be out in like five,â you say in disbelief.
âBabyâŚâ he whines, face palming himself.
âYou knowâyou take just as long in the shower as I do.â You defend, putting everything on hold to have this conversation, which by extension adds to the time you need in the shower.
Admittedly, he doesnât think much after this; all that goes through his mind is how nice your shower must be with the cool water if youâre taking this longâand he just wants that.
âIf youâre going to take this long, let me get in with you.â He says, only processing it once he has to sit in the awkward silence after he says it.
Now, youâve only been with Jungwon for a little under a yearâItâs sweet; heâs your first boyfriend, youâre his first girlfriendâand while itâs not true in its entirety, youâve been in this honeymoon phase since making things official.
So you two have never actuallyâŚuhhâŚ
âOkay.â You say after a bit, surprising him.
âI was just kiddingâŚâ he says, not entirely a lie, but surely this isnât how this happens for the first time.
Thereâs another small pause, and youâd think heâd leave after saying he was joking, but he doesnât move.
âItâs not like weâre in a rush; if you get in with me, we can stay in here as long as we want.â You add.
Nothing about this is inherently sexual; you two can be mature about this, youâre very mature people to begin with.
âAre you sure?â He asks, both nervous and a little hesitant.
âYeah, I donât want to get out just yet.â
He leaves to grab his things too; and when he comes back, he tries to drag out his actions to see if maybe youâd get out before he got close to getting in.
He doesnât blame you for not getting out though; itâs still hot in the room.
âIâm coming inâŚâ he says, reaching for the shower door and opening it slowly.
You switch sides so he can enter without having to go around you; the shower head is hanging off the ceiling and directly above the center, so sharing the water wonât actually be that hard.
And even if itâs more awkward, neither of you can or want to look anywhere but the otherâs face.
âHelloâŚâ he says softly.
âHi.â You reply quickly.
Things gradually become less awkward as you two continue with your shower routines simultaneously.
Itâs once youâve pinned your hair up with a conditioner in it that you think to try talking to him again.
âThis isnât so badâŚâ you say, watching him as he takes up most of the shower while washing his hair.
Itâs easy because his eyes are closed; and while you arenât looking that low, itâs not such a bad view to see him like this.
âItâs unconventional.â He shrugs, running his hands through his hair.
âReally? Youâre not in my wayâŚâ you shrug.
âYouâre at the end of your shower, I still have a lot to do that I donât want to do in front of you.â He says, washing his face with some water he gathers in his palms.
âItâs not like Iâm staring, won.â You scoff, crossing your arms.
âMaybe, but it would be easier if you turned away.â He says.
If this is ever going to work, it needs to start off slow; so even if he was just joking then, you actually do turn around so your back is to him.
âBetter?â You ask, unable to see him as his eyes trail down your neck, back, and the entire body down to your feet.
With your hair bunched up like that, thereâs nothing blocking his view, and it would be so easy for him to justâŚreach out and touch your bare skin.
Not only because of his guilt for checking you out like this, but because of the conscious fact that he really needs to shower, he takes advantage of your gesture to actually scrub his body and such.
Eventually your vague estimate of the five minutes you leave your conditioner in goes off and you back up just enough so you can get under the spray of the water.
He notices a little late, only when thereâs not much of a gap between you both, but it helps him realize that this could be an intimate moment and nothing more.
So to show something for the step you took together today, he finishes up quickly to turn to face you.
âI can wash it out for youâŚif you wantâŚâ he offers, his voice soft and close behind you.
The smug expression this creates is unseen by him because youâre not looking at him, and it lets you express and release whatever feeling this gives you before you give him an answer.
âYeah, okayâŚâ you nod, stopping to bring your arms down and in front of you as he takes over.
Heâs gentle; somehow knowing enough to scrub your scalp neither too hard but with just enough pressure that heâs actually doing a good job.
âYour hair is so soft with this.â He comments, running his hands through the lower half of it, causing you to lean your head back slightly.
Itâs not like you two donât have your momentsâyouâve made out beforeâbut this is different.
He canât just touch you, not like he usually does, and he has to be conscious of where it is so it doesnât touch you.
With Jungwon worried and in his head about it all, heâs missing every little hint youâre dropping to get him to at least try.
And when you realize this, you try something more direct; you find one of his arms, slide your hand down it to find his hand to put it on your waist.
And because you manage to do it without breaking this kiss, you get to hide behind the action.
âHmmâŚâ he hums, furrowing his brows a bit once he realizes what heâs touching.
After a bit, Jungwon slowly wraps this arm around you, pulling you a little closer and securing both of you just a little more in the shower.
To give a little more, he breaks the kiss to start a trail of them down your jaw and neck; keeping the one arm around you while the other covers himself just so he can get closer without making you uncomfortable by accident.
âJungwonâŚâ you mew softly, tilting your head back a bit to let him.
God, do you just sound like that?
âI want to try somethingâŚcan I?â He asks, stopping for a moment to look at you.
Despite your own nerves, you nod your head, and you can tell heâs just as nervous because of how eagerly he needs your answer.
âY-yeahâŚâ you say, thinking it was necessary that you say it.
If this is really happening, surely you wonât mind if it brushed up against you during; youâve been past the previous limit youâd set for yourselves a long time ago.
Jungwon moves his hand away to hold you more firmly by your hips, as he does this, he starts to kiss down your neck again; only this time, theyâre open-mouth kisses that he leads to your chest with.
You stand awkwardly with your hands raised slightly at your sides while you looked behind him; what else are you supposed to do?
Itâs odd how instinct works though, because once he presses a kiss to your nipple, your first instinct is to push him away.
All you wanted to do was stop him because you were discovering in real time that you were sensitive and ticklish; but you could see how it might backfire against you if you followed through.
Instead, you wrap your arm around his neck, getting a little more used to the attention on your chest once he takes you in his mouth.
As it starts to sink in that this is really happening, Jungwon loses a bit of his composure; he wants to try everything he knows aboutâwants to see how youâll react to some of the things he does.
And itâs because of this sudden feeling that one of his hands comes around your back and moves lower until his hand is on your ass.
He doesnât even realize heâs taken a handful of it until you gasp softly above him and remind him to be slower.
âS-sorry...â He says, moving his hand away and back up your back as he looks up from you.
You reassure him that you didnât mind, but now heâs embarrassed and painfully hard with no real idea how to take care of both of you.
âIâmâŚcompletely out of my depth hereâŚâ he admits, straightening up a bit to look at you.
âI am too, remember?â You say softly.
Jungwon canât take anything from this; in a way, he should know moreâthereâs no excuse for him to be this clueless.
âI justâŚdonât want to hurt you, or do anything you wonât like.â He adds.
âYou wonât,â you assure.
The excitement of doing this in the shower has completely died down, so he takes the chance to turn the water off himself then.
You donât seem to mind that he did that, even now that youâve both separated a bit and are no longer touching each other in any way.
The understanding that this might be over is mutual, and you get out of the shower together after this.
He helps you out, holding your hand tightly as he warns you to be careful as you step out of the shower.
And as youâre both drying off and wrapping yourselves in your towels, he realizes you might think he doesnât want you, which isnât the case at all.
So just before you can leave to get dressed, he grabs your arm to stop you from leaving.
âLet me try againâŚout hereâŚplease?â He says, looking at you with this soft expression; almost like heâs eager to make it right.
âItâs okay that it didnât work out today, itâll happen eventually.â You say, attempting to reassure him again.
But he canât back down; who knows what this might do for your relationship if he canât do it today after falling short so many other times.
âPleaseâŚjust once moreâŚâ he begs.
You find yourself making out with him for the second time in the last hour.
But this time you arenât going to leave it entirely up to him; maybe thatâs why it didnât work out the first time.
âCan I touch you?â You ask, breaking the kiss for a moment as you look up at him.
Jungwon blanks out for a second, immediately going through about a thousand thoughts before he comes back.
âY-yes.â He says, an eager nod.
To distract the both of you just enough, you kiss him again; and as you do this, your hand travels down his chest slowly so heâd have the chance to stop you if he changed his mind.
He squirms a little once youâre low enough, and you wait a little more before you wrap your hand around it.
He pushes his hips into your hand and you get the feeling you should move;
âGodâŚâ he sighs, breaking the kiss to hide in your neck.
âAm I doing it right?â You ask, keeping your arm wrapped around his neck to keep him close.
âYou can wrap around it a little tighterâŚâ he says, palms pressed into the mattress beneath you.
You stroke him slowly at first, gradually moving your hand a little faster as he starts breathing shallowly into your neck.
âItâs so hardâŚâ you say softly, kissing his jaw while you work his length.
He shivers a little; everything from the things you say to the things youâre doing is hard to get through when youâre doing them at the same time.
This is a million times better than anything he thought it would beâthis is better than anything heâs ever done on his own before.
âYouâreâŚreally good at itâŚâ he praises softly.
It does a lot for your confidence that heâs like this; especially when you think about how he likes you doing it when heâs probably a lot better at it himself.
As he starts getting used to your hands on him, he starts thinking about you and what needs to be done for you.
It wouldnât hurt to do it for you while you do it for him, right?
He brings one hand up to your hip, resting it there at first until he drags it down your thigh, then he picks his head back up a bit, just to look at you better.
âCan IâŚâ he trails, biting back a groan as you rub the head for a moment before pulling your hand back down.
Even if he doesnât finish his sentence, you donât need to hear it; you want him to do whatever he can.
âYou donât have to askâŚâ you assure.
He nods, using the hand on your thigh to spread your legs carefully before it moves closer and closer to your center.
He canât see what heâs doing, so he tries to figure it out by dragging his middle finger up your slit slowly.
Almost at the end, you flinch away from him suddenly; but he at least knows enough to know that he probably found your clit.
He sets his middle and ring fingers down above it, slowly moving them in a circle to see if he was right.
You gasp softly, and he takes the chance to kiss you again as he rubs the circles in a little faster.
Itâs hard to kiss properly when youâre both doing other, more distracting things, so itâs a little sloppy; breaking the kiss every now and then, revealing little strings that connect your mouths because neither of you seems to care to bring your tongues back in before you break it.
Of course, this isnât really doing anything for anyoneâespecially not two people who have never touched someone like this before in their livesâso all it does is bring you both to a bit of frustration.
âWonâŚâ you call out, your breathing a little uneven as you feel that odd little build-up unravel yet again when his fingers falter for a moment.
âYeah?â He asks softly, a slightly pained expression from going on so long without release.
âWantâŚmoreâŚâ you manage, too embarrassed to say it any other way and too out of it to form anything better.
He hesitates; he could try to use his fingers, it would probably make it easier on you laterâbut how many times is he going to stop doing one thing to do another without seeing the last one through?
âO-okay,â he nods, looking down at his hand between your legs, âIâm gonna use my fingers.â He says, wanting you to know exactly what heâll do to make you more comfortable.
Once you nod, he slides his finger a little lower, until he feels what he can only assume is your entrance.
âTell me if you need me to stopâŚâ he says softly, pressing his middle finger against it slightly.
You take a deep breath in and he takes it as a chance to push in slowly; enveloping around his finger so tightly that it almost feels like youâre sucking him in.
You whine a little, and he stops for a moment with his finger buried in you while he checks in.
âAre you okay?â He asks, leaning forward so heâs propped up on his elbow beside you.
âY-yeahâ you assure, a little tense against him.
âIâm gonna move, just a little.â He says, pulling out a bit as he says this, and pushing back in just as slowly when heâs done.
You relax slowly against his finger, but youâre still just as tight, so he tries to add another finger, which is easier the second time around.
âI know, babyâŚbut youâre doing so goodâŚâ he says softly, kissing your jaw as he moves slowly again.
You have one hand on his forearm, holding onto him tightly as he moves this arm away and against you.
Meanwhile, heâs both nervous and excited for whatâs to come; he can only imagine how youâre going to feel around him, but the obvious difference in size from him and his fingers is concerning.
âFasterâŚpleaseâŚâ you beg, your hold on his arm loosening slightly as you press your hips into his hand.
âDoes it feel good?â He asks, looking down on you, watching you, even if your eyes are closed shut; he just wants to catch any little shift that might tell him otherwise.
âFuck- yesâŚâ
He swallows that up with a kiss, pumping his fingers into you faster now that he knows he can make you feel good like this.
He muffles your moans this way, more determined by them and the way you squeeze around his fingers.
He canât keep you with him for long; after a bit, you break the kiss as you cry out.
âAre you gonnaâŚ?â He asks, finally noticing how your legs tremble slightly.
His answer comes not even seconds later when you repeat his name softly as you arch your back into his hand; your release coats his fingers completely as he continues to move them in and out of you while he gradually slows down.
After he helps you ride it out, he pulls his fingers out of you, leaving you empty but content on the bed as he looks down at his hand.
He spreads his fingers out a bit, watching the slick stretch between them, his breath hitching.
Then he looks up at you; your chest rising and falling quickly but already beginning to even out as you look up at the ceiling with a soft expression.
âBabyâŚ?â He calls out, wiping his hand on one of your towels as he tries to get you to look at him.
âMmhâŚâ you hum, lagging behind slightly as you reply before you look at him.
When you do, he looks a little different; eager? Impatient? But also like he wants to know how that was for you or how you feel after.
âCan IâŚâ he says, breaking himself off as he considers that maybe this is a limit for you.
âAre you okay? How do you feel?â He asks, his expression now showing worry.
âGoodâŚâ you answer, your voice soft and a little dazed.
Now that he has that, he can ask, right?
âCan you handle more?â He asks, unintentionally pressing himself into your thigh.
Youâre a little lazy now, but youâre still conscious; mostly conscious of the fact that he hasnât finished in any way himself.
âRight, sorryâŚâ you acknowledge, coming up on your elbows, âshould IâŚâ you trail; what exactly are you supposed to do for him?
âNo,â he quickly says, moving above you to grab a pillow and place it behind your head.
âJust lay back, I can do it.â He assures; maybe youâll help him out like that some other timeâright now, he wants and enjoys being the one in control of both you and him.
âOkayâŚâ you nod, lying back on the pillow with your hair spread out behind you.
Jungwon inhales sharply, wrapping his hand around his length with a few strokes as he tries to think about anything he might be forgetting to do.
Itâs only once heâs pulled you closer and has one leg hooked over his arm while his hand is ready to feed himself into you that he realizes.
âWaitâŚâ he says softly, looking up at you.
âIâm not wearing a condom.â He admits; to his surprise, you donât really seem to care.
âI trust youâŚyou can pull out in time, right?â
You might as well have given him your heart on a pretty plate and told him he could keep it forever; itâs that serious for him.
âBreatheâŚâ he reminds gently, unintentionally rubbing the head against your entrance as he lines himself up.
You wither a bit, and as he starts to push in slowly he has to hold your hips down to not accidentally push in at once with how wet you are.
Itâs not like heâs so unaffected; his jaw is tight as heâs trying so hard not to collapse on you.
âYou feel incredibleâŚâ he says lowly, stopping about halfway as he gives you both time to adjust.
Itâs not so different from his fingers, the pain is just on a larger scale; but even if it hurts too, you canât help but tighten around him whenever he says anything.
He checks in again when he wants to move in more; and after a few painful moments, heâs bottomed out inside you.
He needs you close just as much as you need him close; so as he waits for you to adjust this time, he leans forward with some of his weight and lays with you, kissing and leaving light bites on your chest and collarbones.
âThink youâre ready for me to move?â He asks, tilting his head to look at you but staying against your skin.
You nod, and he makes his first attempt at moving out of you; âoh my godâŚâ he sighs, unable to pull out much before he desperately wants to be inside you again.
Obviously, he would have never been able to guess how this would feel; but everything about this is just unreal.
He starts to roll his hips into you slowly, biting his bottom lip to keep himself from making any sounds and therefore keeping his composure.
He hits much deeper like this, and itâs like he hits a new spot every time he pushes back in after pulling out.
Your moans are that much sweeter like this too; soft in this genuine, unpracticed way.
He wants to hear more of you, so he starts to move a little faster.
To keep you with him, he finds one of your hands and links them with one of his, holding it as he speeds up.
The room starts to fill with the explicit sound of your skin against his and it genuinely feels like itâs just you and him in the entire worldâhe canât think about anything else but youâ
Acutely aware of what itâs like to finish on his own, he can recognize that heâs getting close himself, but itâs too soon, isnât it?
âWrap your legs around my waistâŚâ he instructs, slowing down a bit to drag this out a little.
After he changes the position, he manages to free up his other hand, and as he starts moving again, he presses his thumb against your clit, waiting until he finds his rhythm to rub it in small circles.
You throw your head back, the feeling of his finger against you while he fills you up at the same time makes it hard for you to focus on anything else.
And just when you think you can lay back and let the feeling take over, he hits something inside of you for a moment, and then again with a second thrust.
âThereâŚagainâŚâ you plead, hands reaching out and resting against his thigh and lower stomach.
God knows he has no idea what he just did, but if you said again, then thatâs exactly what heâs going to try to do.
âHere?â He asks, a measuring thrust into you at what he believes is the same spot.
And when you nod eagerly, he makes an effort to hit it repeatedly with his thrusts, gradually pushing in a little deeper.
He completely forgets about himself when he realizes youâll come again; and as all his efforts go into pushing you over the edge, he forgets to hold himself together.
It feels like it happens in seconds.
You convulse around him as you grind your hips against his; him realizing heâs not far behind you; and then remembering that heâs not using protection.
âFuckâŚâ he whines softly, spilling into you a bit before he pulls out; even then, he doesnât do it properly, and he makes a mess between your legs.
âIâm sorry, Iâm so sorry,â he quickly apologizes, his voice rough and a little whiny as he looks up at you with the most worried eyes.
His words fall on deaf ears; youâre in a much different state of mind than he is.
âBaby?â He says softly, moving up to look at you properly.
âYouâre so loudâŚIâm right hereâŚâ you giggle, covering your face with your hands for a moment.
âThis is serious,â he says impatiently, sitting back on his heels as he considers whether he can clean you up or if he has to wait or let you do it yourself.
âWhat?â You ask, tilting your head slightly to look at him through a small gap you make in your hands.
âI didnâtâŚpull out in timeâŚâ he says, embarrassed.
You donât say anything at first, but your hands come down to help push yourself up to sit up.
He watches you wince slightly, but you do it regardless.
âThereâs contraceptives for after too, weâre fine.â You shrug, putting the stickiness you feel between your legs to what it is.
Before he can continue to overthink and worry himself more, you wrap your arms around him to pull him closer and into a kiss.
Itâs much softer than what youâve done in the last hour or so, but it doesnât serve any specific purpose.
âI love you.â You say softly, watching his embarrassment turn into shyness.
âI love you tooâŚâ he replies, his gaze a little low.
âLet me clean you upâŚI donât want you to stay like thisâŚâ he says, reaching for one of the discarded towels on the bed.
Itâs hard to get through that when youâre already so sensitive, but heâs careful and slowâthorough tooâand once heâs deemed you taken care of with at least a shirt and a comfortable spot on the bed, he finally settles beside you.
âDo you want to sleep?â He asks, wrapping his arms around your waist as he scoots closer to you.
âMhmâŚâ you nod, nuzzling into his chest as you make yourself comfortable.
Once youâre settled, he starts to rub your back gently, a kiss on the top of your head as he tells you he loves you again.
Jungwon doesnât fall asleep immediately after; despite how tired he is, heâd much rather stay up a little longer just to replay the entire thing while itâs still fresh in his mind.
He wants to be better for you next time, but he isnât so worried he wasnât good today; at the very least, he got you to finish twice, and whether there was a better or faster way to do it, heâs just glad he managed that.

âPrettyâŚIâll give you that.â His grandmother said, overlooking you as she went looking for the rest of Sunghoonâs family.
He waits a bit, just until sheâs out of earshot for sure.
âIâm so sorryâŚâ Sunghoon says softly, rubbing a small circle into the small of your back where his hand had been.
âItâs okay.â You assured.
You never considered that his extended family might not like you; everyone in yours loves him, and you just assumed that it was because your immediate family liked him, so everyone else had to.
Therefore, if Sunghoonâs immediate family liked you, why wouldnât they?
But now that it was established that they either didnât like you or just didnât care for you, you suddenly felt a little foolish being here a day earlier and wearing such a ridiculous outfit.
Since youâd been ignored for the bigger part of the morning, all you got to do was listen to their conversation.
You had no choice; what else could you do?
The majority of it was directed at Sunghoon and his school; apparently, his grandparents are the ones putting up the bill for his tuition, and that comes with a lot of conditions you didnât even know existed.
And the way they brought it up made it seem like they planned to add a new condition, one that involved your relationship with him.
the only reason they didnât get into it was because Sunghoonâs dad changed the subject to his sisterâs school and what she planned to do.
Eventually, the conversations died down, and this is when his grandparents expressed their exhaustion from the trip and how they wanted some downtime.
And while Sunghoonâs mother helped them to their room, you, Sunghoon, his sister, and their father stayed in the living room.
âIâm sure your style is very popular in the cityâŚbut maybe just for this visit, we could keep the accessories to a minimum.â His dad said gently, not rudely, but maybe he just wanted to avoid conflict before it happened.
âRightâŚof course.â You acknowledge, a small smile and nod as he walked past the three of you.
Who knows which of the four accessories you have on is the one he has a problem with?
Canât be the necklace, itâs just one and Sunghoon gave it to you.
Canât be the bracelet, itâs dainty and barely even noticeable.
Maybe itâs the bow? But itâs part of your shirt, even if itâs detachable, itâs part of it.
Maybe itâs not an actual accessory, but the way you styled your hair today.
âWe should take the chance to go to Starfield, Iâve been waiting to take you to the mall for the longest.â His sister says, standing up to walk over to where youâre both sitting.
Youâd almost forgotten about that; Sunghoon told you beforehand that his sister wanted to go out with you and take you to see some places in Suwon, but youâre in such a bad mood that you donât want to go and ruin her day out.
âYou should go.â Sunghoon says, a small smile now that heâs looking at you.
âYouâll really like the library, I know you will.â He encourages, nudging you forward a bit to stand.
âYeahâŚokay.â You agree, trying to make your expression less awkward with a smile.
It takes you and his sister a minute to grab your things before you leave together, leaving him with his parents and grandparents, but nothing else to do.
At least thereâs some comfort in the fact that his sister wanted to do this with you.
Youâd previously believed she was keeping her distance because she didnât like you, but this helps you feel less out of placeâespecially since she wanted to do this just between the two of you.
Starfield is everything she said it would be, and the more stores you visit together, the more your mood improves.
But nothing lifts it like the Starfield library, and itâs incredible just how close Sunghoonâs assumption about how youâd react to seeing it is when his sister watches your eyes get bigger and actually light up.
You had no intention of going insideâknowing yourself, youâd spend hours going through each shelf and floor to take it all inâbut then a smaller voice behind you suggests you do and suddenly youâre both entering it quickly to get started.
While youâre still conscious and mindful, you set a timer for 30 minutes on your watch; you plan to leave here with at least one book to show for your efforts and thereâs one youâve been looking for that just has to be here.
His sister trails behind you the entire time, itâs amusing to say the least; who knew her brotherâs girlfriend was an even bigger nerd than him?
In the same thirty minutes you allowed yourself to find one book, you find five, and one of them is for Sunghoon.
The library was the last stop in the mall, and before she could take you anywhere else, you had to stop by the house to drop off everything youâd bought.
Itâs quick; his parents are preparing for the thing the following day and his grandparents were asleep when youâd gotten there.
And despite Sunghoon doing nothing but lying on the couch while on his phone, his sister would not change her mind about it being just you and her going out.
âYou grew up here, donât you think youâve seen enough of it?â His sister scoffed,
âSo have you-â Sunghoon pointed out, furrowing his brows slightly after being denied.
âI really like your girlfriend. Iâm not going to like her as much with you standing beside her, trying to get little moments with her like the cornball Iâm so sure you are.â His sister says, shaking her head.
Watching them debate is amusing, especially since most older siblings would use their age against their younger siblings; but Sunghoon doesnât do that, as if his sisterâs word is law.
âUnbelievableâŚâ he sighs, face palming himself and muffling his own groan.
His sister takes the chance to nudge you away thenâitâs fair what sheâs asking forâand youâll have a lot of time to go out with him on your own time, so you leave with her while heâs distracted.
You return hours later, closer to the time his family plans to have dinner, which of course also means you get back once his grandparents are up.
âIâm going to put this in my room, these are all mine, right?â His sister asks, gesturing at the pile with the most bags.
âYeah, I just have these.â You nod, both you and his sister stopping once Sunghoon starts picking everything up for the both of you.
âIâll help.â He says simply.
His sister shrugs, walking ahead; then Sunghoon trails behind, and youâll follow behind him, knowing he wants you to.
You drop his sisterâs bags off first, and he makes some loudish announcement about putting these in his room so you donât misplace them.
âWhatâs up with you?â You ask softly, raising a brow at him as he walks into his room.
You notice the smirk a little too late; itâs once you see him throw your bags onto the bed carelessly that you do.
But by then itâs a little too late, he grabs you before you can try to remind him where you both are.
âDo you want your grandma to hate me more?â You ask, hands on his chest to keep him at a distance before he can kiss you.
âShe doesnât hate youâŚâ he says softly, staring at your lips a little longer than necessary.
âI think sheâs just being hard on you because she feels like she has to.â He explains,
âMom was telling me earlier that my grandma was like this when she and my dad were dating too.â He adds, cupping your face.
âI hate it tooâŚbut Iâm so sure that if we just endure it a little, sheâll realize that weâre serious.â
You can do that.
Well, you have to anyway.
âYeahâŚokayâŚâ you sigh softly, a small nod.
âIâll make it up to you back home, youâll see.â He assures, a kiss on the cheek that he quickly turns into something more drawn out now that the conversation is over.
Nothing actually happens; Sunghoon only meant to have a little time away from his family with you before dinner.
So you find yourselves downstairs again quickly, about at the same time the food is finished and only needs to be set.
To make up for the fact that youâd both been gone up until then, you help his mom with everything.
And eventually, you find yourself sitting at the table with his grandparents once again.
For the first few minutes, itâs simple enough.
The conversation centers mostly around the get-together set for the following day; who will be arriving tomorrow; what they plan to do; speculation about what news one of Sunghoonâs cousins will share.
âI wouldnât be surprised if he told us he was finally marrying that girl heâs with.â His father says.
âThatâs right,â his mother says, a small smile as they finally find something light to focus on.
âI almost forgot he was engaged.â She added.
Part of you thinks you would have been a little conflicted if his grandmother was happy about this; but even with news like this, sheâs unhappy.
âYou young people have no ambition for anything but love.â His grandmother sighs, shaking her head.
Everyone seems to share the same thought; just what does it take for her to get excited about something?
âNot all of them.â His grandfather points out, gesturing to Sunghoon.
âHe just told us today how good of a semester he had during his first year at Yonsei.â He reminds.
It causes his grandmother to look up at Sunghoon, but then her gaze shifts towards you, and once again it is anything but tolerant.
âYes, but who knows how long that will last.â She shrugs.
You can admit that sheâs an intimidating woman; she always seems to get the last word in on any matter said in front of her, just like now.
But youâre a little eager to get over this obstacle with her, so you try to be as headstrong as she seems to be.
âIf thereâs one thing Iâm sure of, itâs that Sunghoon will become a doctor.â You say softly, trying not to make it sound like a correction.
âOh, well, if youâre sure.â She says, widening her eyes for a moment in a âsurprisedâ manner.
âHe has no choice.â You continue, keeping your eyes with her as long as you can before it comes off as standoffish.
âHeâs my motivation as much as I am his motivation to get to that goal.â You add, shrinking a little in your seat as she raises a brow at you.
You feel a little embarrassed speaking up now; especially with how corny your words sound after the fact.
But thankfully, your boyfriend has your back.
âThatâs right. Sheâs not that far from joining me at Yonsei.â Sunghoon says.
Now, for the first time since youâve met her face to face, her expression is something else but that of disappointment.
âYouâll also be attending Yonsei?â She asks, looking at you specifically.
âYesâŚâ you answer hesitantly.
âTo do what?â She asks, youâre definitely being interrogated in some wayâand itâs working to make you nervous.
âI also want to be a doctor.â You explain, fidgeting with your skirt under the table.
âWith what money?â She continues, pressing for details that would reveal whether the doubt she has about you being after Sunghoonâs money is valid.
âI will come up with half, my family will match my half.â
The table falls into silence again, but this time it isnât as tense as it has been the last few times.
âWhat specialty?â She asks.
âThatâs still up for debate, I meanââ you trail, stopping as she narrows her eyes.
âI want to be a pediatric surgeon.â You quickly say, a slight correction.
She leans back in her chair, still looking at you.
âA surgeon.â She repeats; amused maybe?
âAnd you aim forâŚâ she prompts, pointing to Sunghoon.
âNeurologist.â He answers, clearing his throat lightly.
âNot a neurosurgeon.â She says, inviting him to make the correction or confirm what she understood.
âNo, just a neurologist.â He explains.
All she responds with is a small hum, and thatâs exactly where the conversation is left.
Sunghoonâs dad says something about going on a walk after dinner where he invites the table to join him, and it shifts into lighter conversation then.
Sunghoon gives your shoulder a reassuring squeeze and you both get through the rest of dinner relatively quiet.
You donât join the family on a walk, but his younger sister doesnât either, so the older adults take the time to themselves while you three go to âbedâ.
The door closes behind sunghoon and you let out a long groan muffled by your hands as you bury your face in them.
âYouâre not reacting the way I would have expected you to.â He chuckles, shaking you gently to rile you up, as if saying you should be more happy or excited.
âIm so embarrassing.â You say, still hiding.
âMaybe just a little.â He agrees, bringing you out of your hands quickly to look at him surprised.
âIâm just messing with you, youâre adorable.â He says, leaning into you slightly as he wraps his arms around you from behind.
âAm I your motivation, baby?â He asks, kissing your jaw.
âDonât call me thatâŚâ you sigh, still not making an effort to really stop him.
âI canât help it.â He says, stopping for a moment just to look at you.
âI knew sheâd like you.â He says suddenly, âI mean, I didnât think this is what it would have taken. But still, I knew she would.â He corrected gently.
âYou donât actually know that.â You suggest, âall she did was go âhmmâ and that could mean anything really.â You say.
âIâm sure it meant she does.â He says, about ready to go back and forth with you.
Instead he kisses you again,
âNowâŚâ
âI have no choice, is that what you said?â He teases, walking forward with you towards the bed.
âNope, wasnât meâ you say, shaking your head.
âUh huhâŚâ
âLay back, babyâŚâ
âStop calling me thatâŚâ
âEhhhâŚmaybe in a bit.â
rant : At least they finally get a break from all the drama â still, Iâd consider this pretty dramatic.

The three-hour drive is the only reason you find yourself in this van.
Itâs a favor of sorts for your ex-boyfriend, Jaehyun; youâre driving him, two of his friends, and a couple who run a true crime podcast to make a documentary on an unsolved case in that city.
Itâs not as awkward, nor as bad as you expected it to be.
Jaehyunâs paying you for helping and itâs been long enough that you donât really care for him.
Still, maybe you shouldnât have committed an entire month and a half of your summer vacation to this; you arenât even a film major yourselfâyou gain nothing from this.
For the majority of the drive, no one really spoke to you.
Jaehyun, his friends, and the boyfriend were all discussing what theyâd do once they got to the rental, and the girlfriend was sleeping in the back seat.
But it got to a point where you realized you were driving past most of the city and still had a few minutes on the GPS; you had to ask then, what if youâd gotten the wrong address?
âJaehyun, where did you say the place was?â You ask, looking over at him where he sits in the passenger seat.
He takes one look out the front window and thatâs it; no check at the GPS, no questions about what youâd passed or where itâs leading you.
âYouâre good, just keep driving.â He says dismissively, turning back to face the guys in the back seat.
One look into your rear view and itâs like no one else seems to care how odd it is that youâre driving towards the outskirts of the city.
It should have put you at ease, right?
If everyone knew where they were going and you were going in the right direction, why should it matter how detached the rental was?
Except you donât know where youâre going, and the way the road starts to narrow into this two-way piece with no divider only makes the feeling in your stomach grow.
About five minutes later, youâre being directed into a winding road.
You hesitate to turn into it because the house at the end of the road is everything but inhabitable.
But you do it anyway; then youâd have an excuse to turn back into the city and find a hotel until they decide what they want to do.
âText the guy, he said heâd meet us outside.â Minjoon said, nudging Jaehyun excitedly.
While Jaehyun does that, the people in the backseat start talking so much that they start to overlap.
You hear something about the look of the house; something about the excitement of the documentary; but itâs all drowned out when you see two people come out of the house.
They look similar, twins maybe?
No, one of them has sharp eyes and the other has dimplesâbut they look eerily similarâmaybe itâs how they carry themselves?
You park the van and everyone is quick and eager to get out; you lag behind so much that you join them mid-conversation.
The one with dimples is talking to Jaehyun and Eunwoo; the other catches your eye and stares at you for a bit even after youâve stood beside your group.
âThe drive mustâve been tiring, weâll help you get your things off and show you to your rooms so you can settle down.â He says, a small smile as he gestures to the van.
âYeah, that would be greatââ Jiwoo says in relief, walking back to the van first to grab her bag from the front.
You have the keys, so youâre the one who has to walk after to help unlock and open the trunk.
The one with the dimples comes up from behind you and up to your side, not too close, but enough that he can speak softly.
âIâm Jungwon, whatâs your name?â He asks, reaching in for whatever bags he can get his hands on.
You tell him your name as you grab your own bags; you donât want to get into a conversation with himâyou donât know enough about the situation to carry yourself in one.
But you invite conversation when you grab your guitar case and he notices; âoh, is that yours?â He asks, a little jog to get ahead of you and lead you inside.
âYeahâŚit isâŚâ you nod, carefully following behind him.
âI have a friend who plays guitar, is it acoustic?â He asks, holding the door open for you with his foot.
âElectric.â You answer simply, distracted by the look of the house inside.
Obviously, it was a big house; but why is there an American-style cabin the size of a mansion in South Korea? What does this have to do with the unsolved case?
WaitâŚ
You donât get to finish the thought before you hear something to your left; and you were so deep in your mind that the sound brings you out too quickly.
Jungwon had been watching you, and it did make some part of him flinch when your head snapped in the direction of a part of the mansion kept dark on purpose.
âEverything okay?â He calls out, wanting to get your attention away from that part of the house.
âYeahâŚsorry, I drove the three hours myselfâŚI guess Iâm more tired than I thought I was.â You say, convincing yourself with this as you slowly turn back to face him.
Jungwon settles a bit, a small nod as he plays on this further.
âWhy donât I show you to the rooms? You can get first pick.â He suggests, setting the things he grabbed down on the floor as he gestures towards the stairs.
You nod and walk ahead until youâre at the top of the stairs and see five doors wide open on the same side of the hall.
If these are the rooms, you donât care to look inside them one by one to pick; you want the one thatâs going to separate you from the group the most.
âThe one at the end of the hall, with the open door, can I have that one?â You ask, pointing it out for him.
âAbsolutelyâŚhere,â Jungwon says, reaching down to take one of your bags from you.
He does it quick enough that you donât realize or get to protest to do it yourself.
âThe room is a bit tricky, Iâm just gonna show you how to open the bathroom door.â He explains, entering the room first.
By the time youâre in the room, Jungwon is making his way to a door in the corner of it,
âThe door gets stuck sometimes, you need to pull it towards you before you push the handle down and then you need to keep the handle pointed down when you push it open.â He explains, doing it himself with practiced ease.
You step up to try after him once he gestures to do so; you did everything he did, but the door didnât open for you.
âSorryâŚâ you say absentmindedly, thinking you mightâve been too harsh with the door.
Jungwon chuckles and shakes his head, âitâs okay, try again.â
You nearly switch roomsâyou donât need the on-suite anywayâbut you donât want to come off as picky, so you try again.
This time you do it a bit quicker, and you know you have it before pushing the door open because the lock clicks in the handle before you do.
âYou should leave it open when you can so you donât have to do that so often.â He suggests, already walking out of your room.
âOkay, thank you.â You say, getting nothing but a small nod before he closes your door after him.
Right, you still have to call home to tell your mom that you made itâŚ
âOh you did? That was fast.â She says, speaking a little too loudly into the phone for your current state of mind.
âYeah, there wasnât really any traffic and I made no stops.â You explain, pulling back the covers to check for spiders on the bed.
âOkayâŚlet me seeâŚâ your mom drags out lightly, tapping her screen with her nails every other click.
âOkay, here you are.â She adds, âwhat are you guys in? Some kind of cabin?â She asks, noticing the same thing you did about the distance of the house from the city.
âItâs a house.â You correct slightly, âIâll ask Jaehyun about it laterâŚso you have my location then?â You ask, just wanting to confirm.
âYup.â She says, quick to add âIâll still text you every hour or so.â For good measure.
âYou really donât have toâŚâ you sigh,
She scoffs, as if sheâd listen to you about this.
âIâll talk to you in an hour.â She says, making the same point just before you two exchange âbye, I love youâsâ and hang up the phone.
And now that itâs quiet again, you get the same feeling you did in the entrance room of the house.
One look around the room reveals no reason to be on edge, but you just canât shake the feeling that youâre not alone.
Thereâs nowhere to hide in the room; no odd windows; nothing a camera could be hidden in.
But the feeling doesnât go away.
Youâre tired, you have to be.
So you force yourself to get into a bed you arenât familiar with despite the unease.
And despite how easily sleep comes to you, itâs anything but restful.
You wake up a few hours later, but it isnât naturally; thereâs an impatient knock at your door that suggests someone has been trying to get you to answer the door for a while.
Your body feels heavy, but you manage to get yourself up and out of bed as quickly as anyone would.
âIâm comingâŚâ you call out, opening the door to find Jaehyun in the hall.
âWhatâs up with you and locking the door? This isnât your house.â He scoffs, clearly annoyed.
âI didnâtâŚâ you say, but you sound unsure, maybe Jungwon did it for you when he left?
But the door opened just fine when you turned the handle.
âWhatever.â He sighs, shaking his head, âweâve been waiting for you to wake up so we can drive into the city for groceries.â He explains.
What? Thereâs no food in the house?
âSorryâŚwe can go now if you want.â You say, rubbing your eyes to get them to adjust.
âObviously weâll go now, weâre hungry.â He says, walking away with the expectation that you follow him.
You run back inside the room to grab your phone and your shoes, walking past the other guy in the house that you havenât been introduced to yet when you try to catch up to Jaehyun.
At the bottom of the stairs, the same five people you came with wait at the bottom of the stairs with their shoes on.
Does everyone have to go?
Jungwon is there too; he smiles at you but continues talking to Seojun and Eunwoo.
âWeâll be back in like an hour or so,â Eunwoo explains,
âSunoo and I will be hereâ Jungwon says, nodding in acknowledgment.
Maybe thatâs the other guyâŚSunoo.
The drive is short.
But in those 20 minutes it takes you to get back to the city, the feeling of unease disappears entirely.
What couldnât be done in three hours of sleep in a safe place was done in 20 minutes in a cramped van.
How odd.
And now that you know to ask and can do it without accidentally offending anyone, you do.
âI thought you said you rented an Airbnb?â You say softly, just so Jaehyun would be the only one involved in the conversation.
âI didâŚin a way,â he shrugs, eyes glued to his screen.
âRight, because you can afford to rent out a mansion for your little school project.â You say, a little irritated that he wouldnât give you a straight answer.
âIâm sure you know already. Why are you being a bitch about it?â He scoffs, getting Minjoonâs attention from the middle seat.
âGod, Jae. I knew you got hangry bad, but no need to take it out on the ladiesâŚâ he says cheekily, clapping Jaehyunâs shoulder.
âYou should have said something. Why would I want to stay in a house with such bad energy attached to it?â You ask, half ignoring Minjoon.
âYouâre the only one who cares about that sort of thing. If you have a problem with it, you can get a hotel and come only when we need you.â He says dismissively.
Minjoon sighs, even he can acknowledge how much of an asshole Jaehyun can be; but itâs a little hard to not chose his friend over a girl he isnât close with in the first place.
âItâs not that bad. Jungwon says they had the house cleaned thoroughly about three times before they had most of the stuff replaced.â Minjoon explains, speaking directly to you.
âWhatâs his place in all this?â You ask, suddenly remembering about their place in the house.
âJungwon? His grandfather was the son of the slasher.â He explains, as if it were nothing.
You feel bad about changing your opinion on him; but are they really expecting you to be normal about sharing a house with the great-grandson of a known serial killer?
âGreatâŚâ you sigh, pulling into a parking lot for a cluster of stores.
You cherish the hour you get out there.
So much so that you dread the thought of driving back out there, especially now that itâs starting to get dark out.
Maybe your emotions are all around the place because youâre also hungry for real food; it definitely doesnât help that the smell and thought of all the takeout youâre bringing back with you is all you can think about as you get back on that narrow road.
Itâs much darker by the time you get there, and the feeling settles in the pit of your stomach once more, but you choose to ignore it this time.
Jungwon and Sunoo help store the groceries as you bring them in, and eventually youâre sitting down with them at a large table in its own room separate from the kitchen.
Between the hunger and eagerness to get into it, you donât notice that Jungwon and Sunoo wait until after everyoneâs done picking at the food to get any.
Even then, their plates are light and with the stuff no one usually wants like the vegetables.
Now that youâre seeing him again, you canât help but feel conflicted on how you should feel about Jungwon.
He seems like a nice guy, and heâs so detached from his great-grandfatherâbut it should mean something that heâs profiting off this documentary in some way.
âYou look better, did you rest well?â Jungwon asks suddenly, making you nervous simply because you were just thinking about him.
âY-yeahâŚI did.â You lie, a polite smile before your eyes drift toward Sunoo, whoâs staring at you again.
âI didnât get to introduce myself earlier, sorry about thatâŚâ you say to Sunoo, following it up with your name.
Thereâs a small pause before he answers, âitâs nice to meet you.â He speaks up, his voice soft but a little snobbish.
âSunoo is my cousin,â Jungwon chimes in.
Now that you have a reason to compare them, you realize why Jungwon confuses you; he acts like this is some kind of summer camp where youâre all bunking together.
Sunoo, however, hints how much he dislikes your presence in his familyâs home for the reasons youâre in it; that makes more sense for the relative of someone whoâs probably been exploited before.
âI thought you both looked similarâŚyouâre related.â You mention.
It was an innocent enough comment, so why does Sunoo hold back a laugh after you say that?
âWe get that a lot,â Jungwon says, a small chuckle.
Your conversation with them gets pushed off to the side when Jiwoo pulls them into her conversation about the house and its purpose in the case.
Youâre hearing details about it for the first time here; how the house has a cellar where the slasher kept his victims, where he buried them in the woods behind the house, how long heâd been doing it before he was caught.
You want to ask questions; why is it unsolved if he was caught? Why did he do it? Why havenât you seen any documentaries about it before?
But part of you believes that being kept in the dark is better for you than knowing anything; in an extreme case, you not knowing anything might save you from something.
After a long conversation about the case, itâs unanimous that everyone wants to go to bed to wake up early in the morning to get a few shots of the house and surrounding area.
You arenât tired, but you go into your room anyway to not make Jungwon feel responsible for you and stay up just because you canât sleep.
This is why you brought your guitar.
Uninterrupted sessions in a dark room with just you and your guitar? HolyâŚ
Your excitement is unmatched by that of everyone elseâs excitement to start on the documentary.
Yet as youâre getting everything set up on the floor of the room, you notice that the bathroom door is shut.
You left it open, didnât you?
Whatever, itâs probably for the better that you donât start imagining a face peeking into your room from there.
Once your headphones are on, you completely forget about the day youâve had.
You got into Deftones again recently and you started picking up more of their songs to get the feeling of what it might be like to see them live.
It might just be the guitar youâre hearing, but you get such a thrill from hearing a song of theirs vibrate in your skull; but that might just be from the sheer volume you keep your headphones at.
It gets your head bobbingâmakes you close your eyes when you get into it a little too much while still trying to focus on your fingers on the stringsâbut as invested as you are in it all, youâre incredibly aware of your surroundings.
The feeling of being watched returned at some point, but what makes you stop playing is the moment you feel a door open and close.
You felt it in the ground where you sat near the bed; but a scan of the room shows nothing out of place and no one in it.
Itâs an old house, thereâs bound to be some loose hinges and loud floorboards; but you need peace of mind, so you think to check the hall to see if someone maybe got out of their room.
All the doors are closed, the lights are off, and the first floor view from the top of the steps is that much darker.
When you step back into your room, you remember the bathroom door; maybe an animal got in, better to deal with it when youâre fully awake and not in the middle of the night when you need to use that bathroom.
The walk over to that door was nothing, but once your hand wraps around the handle you get the sense to run in the other direction.
Maybe you did see or feel something in there, and your subconscious is acting like this only because you donât fully know anything.
You pull the door in towards you, then you turn the handle and push it out.
You felt the lock click out of its place, but the door doesnât budge as if it had.
You push more, struggling a little when you know you should stop and try again once the lock is in its place again.
But youâre right not to, because without you having to reset it, the door eventually budges open and you stumble into the bathroom.
Itâs empty, but you want to make sure.
You take a quick scan of the floor before you step inside fully, making your way towards the shower to pull back the curtains.
The sound scares you more than anything else, especially since there really isnât anything in there either.
âHow old are you, seriouslyâŚâ you mumble, shaking your head as you make your way back out to the room.
You get back to your spot on the floor, but you got taken out of it the minute you started feeling unwelcome again.
Would lighting a candle be too far? Maybe it would offend Jungwon or Sunoo?
If getting a hotel wouldnât cost you everything youâd make on this âjob,â youâd probably leave tomorrow.
Instead, you put your headphones back on and start to drown the house out once more.
ââ§âşâą âââ jay
âI thought it was supposed to be five of themâŚâ Sunghoon points out, sharing the small window with Ni-ki and Jake while Jay stands behind them.
âIt was, wasnât it?â Ni-ki agrees, looking down at the people coming off the van.
âAt least now we wonât have to share,â he adds, looking over at Jay, who isnât really interested in anything about this.
âSheâs pretty, maybe sheâs the girlfriend of one of them.â Jake points out, bringing Jayâs attention to the window.
Couples taste sweeter; but itâs such a hassle to have to share the space with one of the guys who has to take the other partner.
Still, it beats taking a bite out of a wrist and getting Ni-kiâs leftoversâThat kid could probably drain a cow in a few minutes if he liked the taste of animals.
And Jake is right, you are pretty; but he hates draining women, it feels wrong because they always try to fight, and he hates having to overpower them.
But he canât be too picky, can he?
Somehow, the guys convince him to join them downstairs where theyâll get to see everyone up close and make their picks.
There was an understanding that because your presence is unexpected, and the one who needed his own was Jay, youâre automatically his.
But he has to make that clear because it seems like both Jungwon and Jake take a liking to you; something he notices when Jungwon manages to get you alone rather quickly and Jake expresses his envy of Jungwon for being able to talk to you.
Thatâs when Ni-ki tries to tease Jake, only for him to respond by shoving Ni-ki away.
It couldnât have been louder than a sigh, yet you snap your head in their direction and it makes them freeze.
If Jay hadnât been watching you so closely, none of them would have been able to hide behind the corner they were peering over.
If it werenât for Jay, you would have seen all four of themâyouâd be staring right at them.
When Jungwon leads you upstairs, Jay slips away with you both; this is how he makes it clear to Jungwon that he has to pick one of the others.
He watches as you both go over the bathroom door; slips into the closet while your back is turned, jamming the door so you wonât turn around suddenly while he does it.
And as Jungwon walks out of the room, he recognizes Jayâs energy coming from the closet; âdonât do anything stupid.â Jungwon says, making sure Jay hears his voice loud and clear in his mind.
He tunes his senses in to listen to you more closely; every breath you take rings in his ears and he uses it to his advantage once you get on the phone.
Youâve been here for all of 10 minutes, yet the few things he knows about you now make you dangerous; youâre incredibly perceptive, but also, you have someone tracking youâsomeone who cares about you.
Youâre a waste of a decent brain; have the reasons to get out of here, but you choose to ignore the obvious feeling in your gut to sleep.
While itâs amusing how vulnerable youâve left yourself, he canât stay for too long.
If one of the guys downstairs is your boyfriend, heâll be coming up here soon enough.
Jay joins the rest of the guys where theyâre hiding out behind a wall while they eavesdrop on their conversations.
Sunghoon catches him up on what theyâve said so far and who each guy has chosen, but everyone became uninteresting the moment you pointed him out from six feet away on a single shove.
He spends the next few hours learning a little more about the group and what they came to do from their perspective.
Once he learns their names and their relationships, the only one left is you.
Jungwon asks about you and why you werenât mentioned in the first few texts, and Jaehyun explains how youâre not part of the documentary team and just driving them around.
It doesnât give Jay everything he needs to know, so he uses his ability to push Jungwon to ask for more details.
Jaehyun tried to go around it, but Eunwoo stepped in and pointed you out as an ex-girlfriend.
He probably said it to excuse the fact that you wouldnât be as involved, but it did nothing but make you more appealing.
Now that Jay knew he could, he watched you while you slept.
He stayed in bat form for the most part; hanging on a supporting beam in the corner of your room while the others did whatever they wanted.
And when Jaehyun came around the first time, Jay read his mind and interrupted when he heard he meant to wake you.
Holding the door wasnât hard when Jay had nothing else to do; he could have locked it, but doing that could have been a problem if you needed to get out quickly or if anyone needed to come in for any other reason.
So while he watched you for those three hours, he also kept guard of the door.
If Jaehyun came around, heâd jam the door so he couldnât even turn the handle.
Unfortunately, he couldnât do anything about the knocking.
So when it eventually woke you up, Jay could do nothing but watch you answer the door.
And when your little group eventually left, Jay came out to find five very unamused faces.
âWhatâs your deal?â Sunoo asks, eyes following Jay as he sits beside Jake.
âWhat?â He asks, a small shrug as he leans back.
âYou know how this works, you canât take anyone before the date we chose.â Jungwon reminds him, trying to read his mind only to see that Jayâs blocked them out.
âIâm well aware.â He says, giving nothing more and nothing less.
But when he realizes that it might result in Jungwon forcing him to switch, Jay feels compelled to tell them something that would excuse his behavior.
âSheâs smart, Iâm just looking out for us.â He says, looking at Ni-ki and Sunghoon who saw the same things he did firsthand.
It reminds Jungwon of what youâd done earlier, and maybe he doesnât need another example of this to let Jay do what heâs doing.
âHave you gotten in her head yet?â Jungwon asks.
âNot yet.â Jay answers, revealing a bit of his frustration about this specific aspect.
âMaybe everyone should keep a close eye on their person. This group is much moreâŚcomplicated than the ones weâve had before, itâs safer this way.â Jungwon suggested.
Ni-ki groans softly, âjust because Jay likes to stalk his doesnât mean we doâŚâ he complains, slouching in his seat a bit.
âIâm not stalking.â Jay says, quick to defend his point because heâs sensitive about it being true.
âJust make sure they donât wander. I donât care how long you spend in their rooms or trailing them.â Jungwon sighs, rubbing his temples gently.
After this, some of them go hunting to get back before the group does so they donât have to sneak around them.
Jay, however, makes his way up into your room to snoop through your things.
Heâd been eyeing your guitarâs case for the longest, and he just wants a peekâbut it gives him a look into your personality he canât just ignore.
A warlock is usually an eyesore in the wrong hands, but yours is custom, and it has this gorgeous red to it that makes him want to pick it up so badly.
Instead, he distracts himself with your bag; maybe there are other things he can find to learn more about you.
All he finds is clothes; nothing crazy about your underwear or the outfits you seem to have brought, but itâs more about what you didnât bring.
No cigarettes, no condoms, no alcohol; no vices for you then, is that it?
How is he supposed to go through with this when nothing about you so far suggests youâre a bad person?
Heâs going to back out if he keeps rationalizing you in his mind.
And he needs to put this all back exactly how it was before he forgets and messes this up for the others.
By the time heâs done, you and your group had gotten back to the house.
But he runs into the issue of having forgotten where youâd left everything.
Was it on the floor?
On the bed?
Maybe one was on the floor and the other on the bed?
jungwon had one of your bags, it would make sense if you both placed them differently.
He gets so stuck on this that he doesnât realize youâre outside the door until the handle makes a soft sound and he has no choice but to hide in the bathroom.
Now, what is he going to do if you need to use the bathroom?
His hearing can only get him so far; all it gives him is the image of you going through your things.
What if youâre looking through everything because you know it was messed with?
All he can do is wait until you fall asleep, then heâs going to leave your room and have the longest self reflection of the last 6 hours because heâs starting to realize just how badly heâs handling you.
20 minutes passed after the last time he heard you moving around.
Thatâs when he decides to make his move out of your room.
He opens the door just enough to peek out; itâs open for no more than 10 seconds before he realizes you arenât asleep but on the floor of the room.
Despite you being occupied, he panics; what if the light from the bathroom brings you out of whatever youâre in?
So he shuts the door, admittedly a little too quickly because even he can feel the thump it causes, but surely you didnât hear that.
Only of course you heard it.
You and your stupid awareness just wonât give him a break.
Jay nearly calls for Jungwon, especially when he hears footsteps getting closer to the door.
But what would Jungwon do if he found out Jay got himself in his position in the first place?
He just needs to buy himself some time; maybe if he jams the door, you wonât think anything of it and leave it alone since you know it does that.
But Jay has to use both his physical and mental force to keep you out because you become insistent with your pushing.
All he has to do is change forms, if heâs a bat, he can slip away without you seeing him.
But how is he supposed to go through the shift in form without you catching a glimpse?
Thatâs when Jay jumps into the shower behind the curtain.
The strength he was using to hold the handle of the door is rerouted to change forms as quickly as he can manage in that tiny space.
And he manages to do it just before you get the door pushed open.
He waits a little, then crawls up the wall to hang on the ceiling.
Even in this case, your gut leads you the right way towards the shower.
Just how perceptive can you be?
Whatever the case, it isnât enough for you.
Jay manages to exit the bathroom and the room while youâre still looking into the shower.
For the first time in the last 40 minutes he can actually relax, and itâs only to be caught in the hall by Jungwon.
Heâs probably in your head already; it would explain why Jungwon knows something in your room was wrong and came to check it out even if you didnât call for anyone.
Maybe itâs for the best that jungwon did catch him.
At least now Jay might believe him when he tries to explain why youâre too dangerous to be in this situation and why you and your group need to leave.

Heeseung Ë
Heeseung recently finds himself with more time to spare in his day for whatever reason.
But if he texted or called to see if he could catch you on a break, youâd always reply with a text that stated you were busy working.
Thatâs when he found out your manager was encouraging you and your coworkers to take short lunches and breaks if none at all because of a recent rush on a specific project.
Whether itâs illegal or not, he doesnât knowâit definitely sounds illegalâbut it didnât matter because it upset him all the same.
And now that he knew, it was his job to help you get around this somehow.
If it was just encouraged and you guys were being bullied into doing it, Heeseung would simply use his entitlement to pick you up himself to take you out for lunch.
He made it a point to pick you up and drop you off at the same time; just a little something to emphasize the fact that you were supposed to have a set time for lunch.
Youâd feel a little guilty for leaving your coworkers to continue following your managerâs advice, but after Heeseung had done it long enough, your manager changed the script again.
âFrom now on, there will be an order to how you take your lunches.â Your manager explained, a little strained, as if this was really taking a lot from her.
âSo thereâs always at least two people working on the rush, youâll take lunches in threes. And the order in which the groups go to lunch will alternate every day.â She added.
Most of your colleagues were relieved, and many of them knew your little rebellion had something to do with the change of direction.
âYouâre encouraged to order to the office if you canât bring lunch, that way the time off is spent evenly.â She continues, now looking at you directly.
Heeseung laughs when he hears about this, but heâs also relieved something good came from this.
âSee? I told you it was shady.â He says, shaking his head.
âShady or not, that could have ended badlyâI could have gotten fired.â You sigh,
âAnd you would have been better off for it.â He scoffs, wrapping an arm around you to pull you closer.
âHonestly, baby, that could have been a lot worse if I hadnât done anything.â He adds, a little dramatically despite how true his words are.
âMy heroâŚâ you tease lightly, but he takes you seriously.
âThatâs rightâŚI amâŚâ he agrees, looking off into the distance as he considers this.
What a dorkâŚ
Jay Ë
Thereâs an agreement between the two of you.
Jay takes care of anything related to food, including cooking, getting groceries, and stocking them.
And youâre in charge of anything related to keeping up the space you share; you clean, replace light bulbs, call it in when thereâs a problem with the ac/heater, and oversee the guy who comes to fix it.
Itâs stuff within your capabilities and also to make things split fairly.
But for the last two weeks, youâve both been lacking in your departments; Jayâs too busy with their comeback in August, and you have a deadline you need to meet in July.
However, your situations arenât comparable.
Jay has 6 other guys who experience the same hunger heâs experiencing and vocalize it, making it hard to ignore or overlook meals.
But you?
The only time someoneâs checking in is for status updates or when they need help replacing or locating a file or something.
With the way things are, Jayâs barely around, mostly crashing at the dorms when practices run too long.
Thatâs why he doesnât notice anything until itâs a little too late.
Sure, itâs been a few days since he saw you in good lighting or even face to face, but what could have changed in such little time?
A lot.
Because not only is the fridge keeping things that are well past their expiration date, but the apartment is also looking a little messy.
The laundry room is stacked with unwashed clothes; thereâs dust on almost every surface, the entrance hall is a mess of shoes and coatsâitâs just not what it usually is.
But itâs only once Jay is cleaning out the fridge that he realizes that you havenât been keeping up with your meals.
If you had, he wouldnât be throwing away an entire loaf of bread.
And then it would make sense why the apartment is how it is; you havenât been taking care of anything, including yourself.
He didnât blame you to begin with, but now he couldnât imagine bringing it up to you even casually how much he had to throw away.
With his work cut out for him, Jay forgets to check in with you.
He spends the next three hours getting everything back in order.
He might not be as good as you are with the upkeep, but he makes up for it with the food he cooks.
You saw the changes immediately; the shoes you continued to put off now stacked on their rack where they go; the couch pillows stripped from their covers which were probably being washed in the machine you could hear from the door; and of course, your boyfriend cooking a 5-course dinner in your kitchen.
In your mind, Jay works hard at his own thing, much harder than anyone should work in their career in their lifetime; so seeing everything he managed to get done in just a few hours makes you cry from the guilt.
And even after all heâs done, he still comforts you and reassures you that he didnât mind.
âUnless youâre crying from joy, I donât want to see this,â he says, shaking his head as he swipes his thumbs over your face to clear the tears.
âIâm sorry, I should have beenââ you try to say, but he still wonât have any of it.
âIâm serious.â He scolds lightly,
âGo shower, Iâll be done by the time you come out.â
A few kisses and then heâs nudging you towards the bedroom after denying any offers to help him.
Jake Ë
âI know youâre busy, but try to make some time for it. I donât like that youâre not eating during the day because of work.â Jake sighed, pacing in his changing room.
It hurts him physically that he isnât in Seoul when youâre like this; if he were there, he could at least drop off food or have it waiting for you by the time you got home.
Instead, heâs forced to believe you when you say youâve eaten something even if he knows better or repeat himself over and over when he says you should ignore your senior to eat lunch.
âIâll order out again, and Iâll eat well when I get homeâŚno one at the office has taken a lunch, weâre all trying to fix this problem before the deadline.â You say, voice hushed as you continue clicking through files and typing out keywords.
Jake might rip his hair out if he has to go through this a day more, but what can he really do?
âPromise me.â
âI promiseâŚyou should go, youâre busy yourself as it is.â You say softly.
âYeahâŚokay.â
âI love you.â He quickly adds.
âLove you too.â
Maybe it is a little selfish to want you to take your lunches when no one else will.
But it isnât Jakeâs fault that your coworkers donât have someone looking out for them while you do.
If anything, you might get others to follow your example; what good are any of you if youâre running on an empty stomach and such little sleep?
But it isnât until Jake is coming off sound check and the members are taken to lunch in a room separate from the changing room that he gets an idea.
He might not be in Seoul, but that doesnât mean he canât make orders from there.
If he uses his map and the food service app, he can manually type out the address of the restaurant instead of using his location.
Thanks to the time difference and also the advanced options, Jake can make a food order and schedule it to be delivered at the time youâd usually have your lunch even if itâs only 7 in the morning for you.
And he almost forgets he did it at all until youâre calling him just before his show starts.
âHeyâ he says, a little rushed because heâs antsy to get on stage.
âDid you order food for me?â You ask, making your way back up the building to your floor with your things in hand.
âHuhâŚ? Oh, rightâIâm glad it got to you, I was worried theyâd drop it off and not get it to the right person.â He says, a small sigh of relief as he calms down a bit.
âJake, you really shouldnât haveâŚâ
âNone of that,â he interrupts, shaking his head even if you canât see him. âPlease eat it now while itâs warm and not later to reheat it.â He adds.
âYouâre the best, love you.â You sigh, making your way back to your desk.
âLove you too, baby. I gotta go.â He says, waiting for you to acknowledge that before he hangs up.
He was considerate enough to buy you something that you didnât have to slurp or that made loud chewing sounds while you ate.
So you were able to eat lunch at the right time while also staying at your desk to continue working.
Sunghoon Ë
If he really thinks about it, youâve been like this for almost an entire month.
But whether that means you havenât been eating properly for an entire month, or it took a month to get to a point where your meals were becoming an afterthought, he canât tell you.
You donât look particularly bad, but itâs so often and so carelessly that you mention skipping lunch during the day because of your job.
He can understand that it might be very different to his own, but even in the worst of his schedules, either the members or the staff make sure the group eats lunch.
And he did bring it up to you, but you made excuses for yourself and your job for letting this happen.
âItâs not that big of a deal.â
âI snack in between patients. Thereâs a vending machine at the clinic.â
âSometimes I eat right after work. It really isnât that bad.â
But if anyone knows how bad irregular meals are for your body, itâs the guy whoâs actively working his own to build muscle.
Thankfully, he isnât so busy right now that taking a day off wasnât hard to come by; the other members are doing solo activities, and his donât start for another week.
But you donât know this.
All you know is that a delivery was dropped off at your front door at an odd hour in the morning, and when youâre back home, Sunghoon is barely cleaning up and finishing up what heâs done all day.
But cleaning and storing is forgotten once he spots you; instead, youâre being sat down at the kitchen island while he lays jars and containers out in front of you.
âThis is a smoothie, it has a food supplement in it so youâre not working on an empty stomach all morning.â He explains, pointing at the brightest jar in front of you.
âHoon, what-â
âThis is just a regular juice, it has carrots and beets and stuff like that, itâs just to help you with your energy and the vegetables youâre not eating.â He adds, switching over to a dark green jar beside the smoothie.
âIâm not going to open this one because it could go bad if you open it repeatedly before you eat it, but itâs potatoes, rice, corn, and a protein.â He continues, tapping the lid with his pointer finger.
âNow, I made you an entire weekâs worth of all this, you have no excuses for not being able to grab it all before you leave.â He says, coming around the island to stand beside you.
âAm IâŚseriously being scolded right nowâŚ?â You ask, tilting your head slightly.
Sunghoon puts his hands on your shoulders, shaking you a little.
âFocus.â He says, âwhat are you going to start doing?â He prompts.
You sigh, the smoothie looks goodâbut a green juice? Beets? And did he really make you one of the meals he makes himself to bulk up?
Still, itâs a lot of effort he put in, and you do need the food.
âIâm going to eat all of thisâŚâ you reply, a little out of it.
âIn what order?â He asks,
âSmoothie first, juice between smoothie and the meal, and then the meal.â You list.
âGood.â He nods, backing up slightly.
âNow, weâre gonna eat the exact same thing thatâs in all five containers today because I have extra.â He says, walking back into the kitchen to make plates.
Sunoo Ë
Sunoo isnât the best of cooks, but he tries, and heâs pushing forward until he finds even just one dish he can cook perfectly so he can at least offer to make food every now and then so it doesnât always fall on you.
But today isnât about experimenting.
Youâre looking thinner and thinner each day, and he doesnât like that, so if he can do somethingâanythingâheâs going to try.
Itâs hard to mess up eggs and potatoes, so heâs just hoping he can make it taste good together without having to add too many ingredients that he can mess up.
The end result is potatoes with fried eggs and cheese on top, which looks much better than it smells because it has no fragrance besides the ingredients themselves.
To make it look more appealing, he cuts up a few strawberries to give you on the side in addition to some coffee.
Why does this actually look pretty good?
Heâs very impressed with his spread, and it might have something to do with the fact that he was able to do it all on his own terms and with no one hovering over his shoulder.
âHeyâŚwake up.â Sunoo says softly, setting everything down on the nightstand while he sits on the edge of the bed beside you.
Youâre restless, so you wake up almost immediately.
âHmm? Is everything okay?â You ask, propping yourself up on your elbow to face him.
You notice the plate on the nightstand almost immediately, but surely that has nothing to do with you.
âI made you breakfastâŚâ Sunoo explains, lips pursed in a pout as he speaks.
He canât look at you directly; heâs nervous.
You sit up slowly while he grabs the main plate and sets it on a pillow youâve placed on your lap.
âIt looks good, thank you.â You say softly, leaning forward to catch him and kiss him before he pulls away.
âYou might wanna try that before you think to praise meâŚâ he sighs, busying himself with the bowl of strawberries.
You take a bite; itâs still warm and looks good enough that you donât even think to ask what it is.
You donât particularly like fried eggs, and the potatoes are a little hard, but itâs not bad.
And you havenât eaten anything since the previous morning when you had a single pastry, so this is god sent.
âMmmâŚâ you hum, mixing it around a little so itâs easier to pick up.
âYou like it?â He asks, perking up a bit as he considers this might be his dish.
You poke at the potatoes, finding the softer ones to give him so he doesnât think he undercooked it.
âTry it.â You say softly, offering him some on the spoon.
Sunoo takes some of it, and his enjoyment is much more fulfilling than the meal itself.
âWait, okay-â he says, hand over his mouth as he finishes chewing.
âItâs not that badâŚâ he says hesitantly, not wanting to seem too cocky.
âIt isnât, I like it.â You agree, eating some more of it.
âIâm gladâŚâ he says, crawling over your legs to sit beside you.
âBut please, donât use my cooking as a last resort.â He sighs, leaning against your shoulder.
âI donât knowâŚnow that Iâm seeing how much youâre holding back on me, I might make you take over dinner in the afternoon.â You chuckle, continuing to eat whatâs on your plate.
Jungwon Ë
For the last few days, jungwon has watched you come home very late at night due to a situation at your job that has all the people in your department working overtime to fix it.
It has you waking up late the following morning and rushing out with something missing, which is almost always breakfast.
And with how late you get home, and how often you go straight to bed, heâs assuming youâre only eating lunchâand who knows if youâre eating enough even then.
Heâs tried getting up early to make breakfast, but you rush out before he can even tell you heâs made anything.
And sometimes heâll force you to get out of bed to eat dinner, but it breaks his heart more to watch you dozing off while you chew.
But now that bags have developed under your eyes, he refuses to back down.
If work is going to mess with your sleep, so be itâbut if youâre going to stay after hours regardless, who cares whether youâre late or not?
âWon, please.â You beg, still putting your shoes on despite him body blocking the door.
âI told you, youâre not leaving until you finish everything I made.â He says, shaking his head as he stands his ground.
âWhat is this? Iâm not 12-â you say, a little frustrated as you try to pry him off the door.
âYouâd be out of here a lot faster if you walked back into the kitchen and started eating.â He shrugs, almost annoyingly smart.
You have no choice, and he doesnât even care that youâre walking back in with your shoes on.
he really makes you stick to it, because he doesnât let you go even after youâre done with the food until youâve finished whatever was in the glass he put beside your plate.
And when you do, heâs all smiles and giggles.
âBye, baby.â He says, cupping your face to kiss your cheek.
âI love you.â He adds, another kiss.
âHave a good day at work.â Kiss.
âI hate you.â You sigh, no real bite to your words, which he knows.
âYes, yes, I know you love me, now go.â He nods, letting go of you once you had your jacket on.
Ni-ki Ë
You recently started an internship with a law office that will keep you busy during the summer in between semesters at uni.
Itâs nothing too glamorous; you run errands and do scut for your seniors with no other choice.
It sounds horrible from what youâve told him.
If you wanted to do that sort of thing, he could have just gotten you a job on his groupâs staff team and at least then heâd get to see you and make sure no one took advantage of your entry position.
But itâs your career, and he wants to support you, so the most he can do is cheer you on.
He does this mostly in little messages throughout the day; from checking in on you to promising you little things after work or for the weekend to encourage you to push through.
It helps, it really does.
But whatâs really taking the most out of you is the lack of proper meals.
You get maybe 15 minutes to eat lunch, and itâs a set time from 12:00 to 12:15, so if youâre busy doing something else and youâre late to lunch, all you get is whatever time is left until 12:15.
By the time you told Ni-ki about this, youâd gotten used to it and mentioned it without thinking, which made it that much more concerning to him.
He mightâve let it go that night, but the very next day heâd spent extra time in the morning making you lunch.
It was something small at first; a sandwich he usually makes for himself, the nicest strawberries in the box, whatever snacks you had in the pantry now portioned into a small container.
And because you left before him now, heâd make sure to tell you where it was and what he packed it in when you got up to get ready.
Still, being as busy as he is himself, it became leftovers for the most part so you wouldnât get sick of eating the same thing.
And god forbid you forget the lunch.
He will show up at 11:50 to kidnap you before lunch so youâll get the full 15 minutes.
âYour boyfriend is in the lobby again.â The receptionist says, somewhat annoyed with you for having him and Ni-ki for being so insistent.
âSorryâŚexcuse meâŚâ you say sheepishly, making your way down the building to find Ni-ki standing near the front desk with your lunch bag.
He bought it for you recently; cutesy little thing with lilac details on a white base, just a bit too embarrassing for you to carry knowing heâs making you lunch.
âNi-ki, you canât keep coming here like thisâŚâ you scold softly, dragging him away from the front desk girls.
âI know that. If I do it again the members are going to scold me for holding up practice.â He says, shaking his head as he hands you your lunch bag.
âNow, if I donât get a picture of you eating whatâs in there, I AM coming back.â He threatens, crossing his arms as he looks down at you sternly.
âPlease donâtâŚâ you sigh, closing your eyes for a moment.
âThatâs entirely up to you.â He shrugs, ânow, go back up there before you get in troubleâbut remind them that youâre on your lunch break and that youâre unavailable.â He instructs, leaning forward just enough to meet you at your level.
âKiss.â He demands simply.
The girls are probably staring; theyâre the only ones who find him amusing when he does this, and itâs that much more embarrassing.
âGo.â You say, giving him the quickest kiss before you start walking away.
Ni-ki waits a little to watch you enter the elevator before turning away to leave, and even then he says bye and thanks the front desk girls for helping him.

Sunghoon is one of those guys who could probably grow a beard without any effort, but he prefers to be clean-shaven.
Itâs a little annoying because it grows back so quickly, and he might go a day or two with a little stubble, but itâs never longer than that.
So, one of the many things youâll do together is spend a little longer during your nighttime routines in the bathroom together.
While he shaves, you put on a face mask or shape/paint your nails while you sit on the counter and he stands.
He likes it, but only to a certain extentâhe hates that you see him like this and hates it even more when you catch him with the stubble and touch it or rub against it in any way.
âCmonâŚjust let it grow a littleâŚâ you sigh, leaning back slightly as he dries his face after washing it.
You donât feel like going through the whole process tonightâyouâre too lazyâso instead youâre spectating and commentating.
âNo,â Sunghoon denies, shaking his head as he grabs his razor and shaving cream.
âIt doesnât have to be a full thing. Just a mustache, or the chinâ ohhâ ohhâ a goateeââ you suggest, getting yourself excited with the possibilities while he stops for a moment to look at you with a deadpan expression.
âAre you making fun of me right now?â He asks, his voice softening a little.
âNo, no, no, of course not.â You quickly backtrack, a small frown on your face. âBut you have to do this every few days. Donât you think thatâs a sign that you canât and shouldnât stop it from growing?â You suggest.
âNope.â He says, shaking his head as he lathers the cream up and spreads it across his face.
You sigh again, crossing your arms as you lean back against the mirror.
âIf I let it grow, youâd have people thinking our gap is much bigger than it actually isâŚâ he adds, leaning forward slightly as he drags the razor over his side slowly.
âThatâs not how it works.â You say, rolling your eyes.
âIâd look like a gross old man following you around, and youâd probably get asked if youâre safe if anyone saw us kissing or holding hands.â He says, as if heâs thought about this specific scenario multiple times.
âAt firstâŚthen, when itâs full and dark, Iâll have to hold your hand and kiss you so nobody thinks youâre available.â
Again, he stops what heâs doing to look at you unamused.
âYouâre one more comment from being kicked out of here.â His threats sound empty, but the way he crosses his arms makes it look a little real.
âFine, okayâŚâ you say, putting your hands up in surrender.
âI donât think Iâve ever seen a guy with facial hair around hereâŚmaybe an older guy, like someoneâs dad, but no one underâŚ30?â You mention, watching him while he stares at himself in the mirror intently.
âFor good reasonâŚâ he says distractedly, tapping his razor on the edge of the bowl.
âSelfish reasonsâŚâ you mumble, thinking heâd be distracted enough to ignore you.
This time, he doesnât have to say anything for you to know what heâs going to do.
âWait- cmon, I was just kidding-â you panic, just a little.
But he doesnât panic, nor does he hesitateâand he doesnât struggle.
It takes him less than a second to find his footing and his hands before heâs picking you up off the counter and taking you out of the bathroom and towards the bed.
âPlease donât make me close and lock the door, act like an adult.â He sighs, placing you on the bed without a second thought before he walks back to the bathroom.
âYouâre the one not acting like an adult-â you shout back, seeing nothing but his back as he continues to walk away from you.
Maybe that part was a little childishâŚooof
He eventually comes back to you, the stubble and peach fuzz completely gone as if they never existed.
âSee? Isnât this much better?â He asks, laying on top of you to be a little annoying but also to make sure this didnât actually upset you in any way.
âI donât know, I donât have anything to compare it to.â You scoff, crossing your arms.
You wouldnât know this, but it does a lot for him that you donât need him to keep up with that sort of thing.
Maybe youâd be fine if he grew a beard, maybe he might in the future; but for now, heâll keep shaving the annoying stubble while heâs still a little sensitive about it.
âYou donât need anything to compare it to, this IS the better way.â He says, taking your hand so you feel the smoothness of his skin.
âWhatever you say.â You shrug, rolling your eyes as you cup his face and run your thumbs over his cheeks.
