irene is a very accepting and boundless person, like she’s very free spirited. she grew up in an environment where love knew no bounds. scaleswind itself wasn’t the most inclusive but the people she surrounded herself with were. she always knew her sexuality, she just didn’t know the specific label she wanted to use to describe it.
shad — queeromantic, demisexual (all)
shad didn’t grow up in the best of places and often had to move around a lot because of how people treated her. always scared that his friends didn’t care that much, he’s longed and always wanted a long friendship, relationship, anything that lasted for more than a month. they don’t really like labels for their romantic attraction but because of things in the past, she likes saying that he wants a strong friendship before love.
enki — panromantic, omnisexual (he/they)
enki loved to read from a young age and so he learned about a lot of different people and the way they looked at love. they were really smart and almost immediately after learning about labels he identified himself as queer but later liked defining his romantic interest. after getting older and more experienced, his sexual interest changed into a label that fit him better.
esmund — biromantic, bisexual (he/him)
esmund has had lots of friends and they all had their own labels. when he was introduced to these, they kinda just clicked (he just said “THATS ME!” really loudly and his mom was just really happy to see her son smiling). it worked for him and he liked how comforting the labels felt. he’s never felt like he had to explain why because these just feel right.
menphia — heteromantic, lesbian (she/her)
menphia loves to ramble about science related things and the amount of times she’s fell for her exploring or research partner is embarrassing (she’s always embarrassed but everyone else thinks it’s cute). her love language is touch and her hugs make you feel all warm inside. she thinks girls are too pretty for this world and tries her best to impress them with her magicks and potions knowledge.
kul'zak — aromantic, gay (they/them)
kul'zak loves to explore, both the world and their identity. they’re very happy with how their life is and lives everyday to the fullest. their close friend was the first person to introduce to them these labels and it’s stuck with them ever since (both their friend and the labels). they don’t like serious relationships but that doesn’t mean they don’t have one-night stands. they’re very content with their life but look forward to all types of change. they also love the color green (and they look damn good in it).

alright! for the record, i haven’t watched the movie. also, i interpreted “fuck the most” as either intimacy or like plain fighting.

irene is hesitant because he does lie a few times and he steals things and she’s hopelessly in love with shad. but she doesn’t blame him since the sultan isn’t helping the people of agrabah all that much. i think they’d just be friends
shad was uncomfortable bc he didn’t know aladdin that well. they’re also very much in love with irene. she’s not friends with aladdin but maybe acquaintances
enki would probably fight him bc he aladdin seems like the guy that would steal some really expensive books about history and the elder gods from enki’s library to sell in the market. enki might look like a weak kid but they’re not! he can pack a punch, aladdin would probably leave with a black eye.
esmund is picky! he grew up in royalty so he’s very socially awkward with people that aren’t in his social class. he’s trying to be less judgmental but he needs some work on his manners. they’ll spar at best
menphia would probably beat him up because, again, aladdin would steal stuff from enki’s library and she keeps much of her research papers and findings in that library. if they’re damaged.. well, there’s a reason she’s called “the fury” (other than her being a raging homosexual)
kul'zak would definitely. they think he’s hot! while they don’t like aladdin’s red outfits (again, green is his favorite color), its not that bad bc they’re gonna be on the floor anyways

who are the divine warriors? like genuinely i’ve forgotten them
ooh okay good question! and i have an answer.. that follows the canon plot bc idk if you wanted me to rant about what i think that really happened :]
the divine warriors were the six most powerful warriors 900 years before mcd/aphmau, consisting of irene, enki, esmund, shad, menphia and kul'zak. while they are believed to have actually been mortals, they were basically treated like divine deities/gods in the regions they came from and sometimes in more regions, especially irene— like people in irene’s region were low-key obsessed with her. they got all of their powers from their six, respective relics.
irene liked peace and justice, deciding to be the only one to not let herself be reincarnated in order to protect her world. this meant that she saw all of her friends and people die and be reborn again and again. canonically, it’s only known that esmund was the “shield for good” while the others have yet to be touched on (but i want to! :3) shad was basically the warrior of destruction, all the bad in the world. however like every enemies to lovers arc, irene and shad somehow fall in love yet esmund comes in because he loves irene. plus shad is super argumentative so irene gets fed up with the two of them and starts to lose her feelings of compassion or love for anyone. so when she helps and saves people, she doesn’t really have that emotional connection from before.
as time passes, enki, esmund, and kul'zak start to hate shad and theorize that if they got rid of him, there wouldn’t be darkness in the world, thus helping irene feel emotions again. shad got angry when he found out and became the dark and powerful shadow lord. irene had to save her people so she fought him in a world she created: the irene dimension. no one knows how menphia joined or why but in the end, the five warriors destroyed shad and his relic, scattering them across the world, and locking his soul in the nether. but it didn’t help irene at all. in fact, it hurt her— she started feeling less and less.
eventually, the other warriors died again, leaving her all alone. irene got sick of not feeling so she sealed her memories and slept in the irene dimension. she put all of her powers in her relic, gave her bestie hyria a staff, and said, when it glows, to place it where her help was needed and she would wake up there.
hundreds of years later, the new shadow knight on the block (our buddy vylad!) enters hyria's forest. despite supposedly being heartless, he still wants to help his brother (our buddy garroth!) and their village (the infamous, you guessed it! pheonix drop). hyria gave him the staff, telling him to place it where help was needed but dude didn’t know that frickin’ irene would jump out! and so, there’s where mcd kicks off with aphmau..
COOL RIGHT?? SEE HOW MUCH LORE AND POSSIBILITIES AND PLACES THAT I COULD USE TO MAKE IT SYMBOLIC. THE READER WILL LITERALLY BECOME A LITERAL FRICKIN’ GOD AND THE QUEERᵀᴹ. OH THE QUEERᵀᴹ THINGS I COULD ADD!!!! anyways thanks for asking a question :D
