unexpected [ CHAPTER SIX: too much attitude ]

synopsis -> under the same label as your group (LUNAIRE) was your so called twin group, enhypen. you had nothing against the other members, they were sweet as angels, but one particular member seemed to tick something off in your brain. nishimura riki.

the crisp smell of hairspray and setting spray filled the musicbank studio as you made your way through the halls you had grown familiar to.
walking into the makeup room, you first noticed niki, who was absentmindedly scrolling through his phone, perched on the black leather chair across the mirror. the hair stylist was spraying hairspray into the blonde strands of his hair, styling them.
"y/n! you're here. sit down i'll take care of you" your personal stylist said, making you immediately smile at the sight of someone familiar. the chair squeaked as you sat down and you pulled your phone from your pocket.
“alright, all done to be everyones crush, you’re welcome baby” you stylist winked, making you playfully roll your eyes at her. your hair was styled in a high pony and your makeup was very simple and subtle, suiting your features.
soon enough, ni-ki also got up and started walking towards the main area where you guys were going to practice the script and overall being infront of the camera.
ni-ki had this some sort of aura, that made him look unapproachable. if you had been mc:ing with him during 2020-2021, it would’ve been way different. you couldn’t exactly pinpoint the shift from those years to present, but you could tell that something has happened. now he was way more closed off, only showing his true colors to his closest friends. to strangers, he might be extremely cold, awkward or sometimes flirty even. gosh, you hoped for everything else than that last option.
as you strode across the room towards the chair that had your name on it, you noticed a familiar figure already sat on it.
“uhm, that’s my chair?” you pointed out in a polite tone to the stranger.
“ok, and?” the person said. wll, it was none other than the person you despised more than bang pd, nishimura riki. there he was, sitting on YOUR chair, that was for YOU, that even had YOUR name on it. you sighed and spotted the chair next to it, reading ni-ki on it. instead of continuing the pointless argument, you decided to settle on his chair. after you sat down, you saw the horror of a look on his face, making you turn your face away to not show that you were laughing infront of him.
“uhm, excuse you. you are sitting on my chair? do you know who i am?” he asked looking more offended by the second.
you chuckled. “of course i know who you are, you are an annoying and arrogant mothefucker that has a bigger ego than my ex”
the mortified look on his face made you almost, almost burst out laughing, but you played it off with a cough.
a clap rang through the studio as the director made everyone turn their attention to him.
“alright, cue cards infront of you and well get the camera rolling in 10. use this time to look over them.” he announced, but you noticed the sloght crease between his eyebrows from confusion as to why you guys were sitting in the wrong chairs.
you accidentally picked ni-ki’s cards instead of yours.
“darling, those are mine” he said in a low tone so no one else could hear him.
you nearly choked on your spit, turning to him with wide eyes.
“what the fuck did you just call me” you asked, making him smirk at you before taking his cue cards from your hands, his finger lingering there a little longer than they should. you mentally cursed at yourself after feeling butterflies in your stomach. you’re supposed to hate him, y/n!
“are you ok, you look like you just saw a ghost, or perhaps felt” he asked in a teasing tone. oh yeah, this was definitely your last straw.
