god i dream of this all the time. i swear if i’m ever able to walk again without pain i will never take it for granted i will do all the things i swore i would i will clean beaches and ride bikes and carry my fiancé again i’ll walk the steeets in the rain, and pass out sandwiches to people who need them, and and and never miss a day of work and i will take my boy on dates and to shows and on vacations. i will clean and cook and dance for him. i will pick up my kitties again, i will do my own laundry, i will lift All The Things and showoff how strong i am, i will kill the bugs and DRIVE oh god i just want to be me. i need to be me again.

As someone who often downplays their own illness so that others won’t worry, I’m constantly straddling the fence between “I don’t need help, I’m strong and independent!” and “please, for the love of God, help me!”

There is nothing weirder than feeling nothing and everything at the same time. Well and unwell. Tired and awake.
