Well, today is October 31st, Halloween. What better time to reveal such a thing than on Halloween? Especially because tomorrow is the first of November, which leads us to my next point …

Everything’s gone wrong, and Casey is alone. Xe wanders the world, avoiding other humans and trying to find a way to get them back. A few hidden libraries later, xe finds one. An unpredictable, supernatural creature of great power, supposedly banished from this world sixty-six years ago. The very mention of this beast has been torn from books all around the world– except for a few well-guarded libraries that escaped the defilement. 

Xe’s willing to do anything to get them back. Even summon this so-called “Herobrine” fellow.

Miku is a deity who is said to come to the aid of anyone in need. She teaches values of acceptance, embracing individuality, and choosing kindness over tradition.

In-game achievements appear as small tattoos on one’s skin or clothing. Some are considered badges of honor, and others considered omens of evil, depending on the achievement.

Symbols depicting the Enderdragon or black eggs are almost identical in meaning to the real-life symbol of the ouroboros. They represent an infinite cycle of life, death, and rebirth, of constant and unending renewal.

Herobrine’s accidentally started a lot of cults in his name. He promises humans whatever they want in order to further his own goals– but then actually gives them whatever they asked for. This leads to a lot of starry-eyed humans claiming he was a gift from the universe who changed their lives forever.

Cave sounds are something the universe produces to remind humans that the underground is not their home. They may visit it, and harvest its precious resources, but they need the wind and sunlight of the overworld. To nail this message home, cave noises invoke powerful, crushing fear in whoever happens to hear them.

Herobrine has many secrets. And I don’t mean evil schemes or dark plots or the locations of ancient temples better left undisturbed. He has secrets he wishes he could keep from himself.
