I made a crown and a pirate hat for a hat pack I’ll be releasing! The crown has tons of variants; it can be either gold or silver, the gemstones can be diamond, emerald, or ruby, and the fabric top can be red, blue, green, or greyscale, so that the item can be dyed!

I got inspired after a joke on a discord server.
Something I like to do before commissions is make concept art so that my client knows exactly what I’m going to make. It’s very helpful for me to have something to work off of, and the client doesn’t always know exactly what they want. Making concept art helps me collaborate with them and make sure I end up making something they actually want.
How disappointing it would be to have to pay for something you don’t like...

Made a reference sheet for my avatar character. I played with lighting a bit more in this; I’ve never really done highlight shading before. I’m learning!

Decided to try my hand at HD skins. Honestly, I don’t like it very much; increase the resolution enough and pixel art doesn’t really become pixel art anymore, does it? If I wanted to do proper texturing, I would make something in blender, right?
Even so, it’s pretty good! I think I like it. While HD skins are still “eh” aesthetically for me, I’ve seen them done well, and if other people like them, so be it. Hopefully it will become something I’m good at even if I don’t think I’ll be doing it quite as often.

I participated in a blockbench speed modelling competition. I placed third in the initial group, making me a finalist. That is the robot-fox on the left. The final challenge was to make a robot crab, extra points if there’s a bucket involved. So I made a green sand crab with a robucket.
