I don’t know, if there was national outcry they could try.  I mean, obviously they can’t stop everyone from celebrating.  But they could try.

I bet your poor heart would be broken if they decided to ban Halloween at Hogwarts. 

Halloween would be ruined forever.  Let’s not have that happen, it’s one of the few holidays I actually enjoy.

Or it could make things interesting, it isn't like they can just ban Halloween. Could they? 

That is definitely true. What if all skeletons that people buy for Halloween were actual real skeletons? There would be an uproar.

Then it’d make a hell of a story. 

It'd be even freakier if it was on Halloween. 

Fine, I suppose it's kind of cool. What if it was real, like it was a teacher or a student or something, and you're really just playing with their actual skeleton?
