Designated Survivor!

I am so grateful their connection from season 1 was no longer ignored but actually addressed and acknowledged - by other characters no less. In a sense, Emily and Aaron never got the chance to develop their feelings. In season 1 the interrogation bulldozed through them, and in season 3 Aaron was in a relationship. If there will be a season 4, I hope they get that oppurtnity at least, whether they remain just friends or develop more feelings. Anyhow, I am comforted that theirs was one that survived the whole clusterfuck that the campaign turned into. They are in a good place as friends and colleagues.
