*messes up the drawing for the 12th time*

What’s bringing you happiness this week? For me, it’s:

The smell outside after rain (we’ve needed rain so badly)

The freckles on my cheeks are making their summer appearance

New records and dancing in the kitchen

My new Miffy strap I have hanging on my favorite canvas totebag

Petting every neighborhood cat during my evening walk

What brought me happiness this week:

· My kids. Being divorced and not seeing my kids everyday is a double edged fucking sword. It's good to have more time to myself, but I miss them loads. So seeing them again and spending time with them brings me extra happiness.

· My boyfriend. I feel blessed to have met him every single day. Again, double edged sword because long distance fucking SUCKS. But he's such a steady constant even though we don't see each other often. He's still one of the reasons I enjoy life a bit more than I used to and I have a little more hope for the future (feel free to throw up).

· The weather. More sunshine. It does wonders. Even though warm...

· There is probably more. But brain is tired and migraine -y so I'll leave it at this.

Happy sprinkles this week:

✨ since Monday was Memorial Day my husband had the day off work and we took our kids for a train ride. There was a man on the train and I so so badly wanted to take a picture of his profile. He had that Roger from 101 Dalmatians profile. Just the longest. straightest nose. Ichabod Crane nose. I wanted to be like "respectfully sir your facial proportions are divine." but I did not.

✨ the carnival was in town this week so we went. The kids had a blast riding the rides, suckered their dad into buying them 3D printed Charizards (I'm sooo over 3D printed shit but ugh they were so happy about them), I lost my phone in the first ten minutes but luckily we found it quick, and to finish it off we bought funnel cake that I brought home and promptly covered with an obscene amount of extra powdered sugar.

✨ I changed the bedsheets and it was my favorite sets turn in the rotation. I picked them up at Ross for like $12 about a year ago and I knew I needed them the moment I saw them because I thought to myself "those are the kind of sheets Blanche Devereaux would have on her bed". It's always an extra good week when it's their turn.

✨ My husband bought me one of my wishlist Pokemon cards 😭💕 angy boi Charmander my beloved.

✨ My kids have been obsessed the last three days with singing songs about macaroni and cheese. Neither of them like macaroni and cheese. Straight up refuse to eat it, period. I'm confused as hell but they're so cute it doesn't even matter.

I did see my stress reliever friend earlier this week and I just adore her so much. ❤️

Also, I finally finished an AMV I was working on after a month and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Even though I've been very depressed, my husband has been helping to take care of me a lot. ❤️

Also, he got me a bunch of ramen from a ramen restaurant yesterday and I've been enjoying it a lot.

I'm also really happy with how my peach cobbler turned out. I made it from scratch and I haven't had one in 10 years!

I went to a friend's memorial service and I didn't know much about her past, so hearing about who she was when she was younger from her childhood friends and family made me really happy. I'm also just really happy in general that I had the opportunity to know a woman as wonderful as her.

I guess I also worked a little more on a story I've been writing and enjoying the direction it's going in.

Also, my dog is just the cuttiest and makes me so happy (also, we're just trying to vibe on the couch right now, when a bug started flying around and bothering us and now she's trying to eat it, lolol [I hope she can get it🤞])!

went to a Ringo Starr concert a few days ago and it was epiiiic

went to a coworkers band and orchestra concert last night and it was ALSO epic!!! last song made me go crazy heehee

been listening to lots of oingo boingo and found like 5 new songs i like within a few dayS

started Servamp! I didn't have a clue what it was about but I dig that it's a vampire story heck yeaaaa

ate a lotta yummy stuff lately mmm

also been figuring out silly story stuff- trying to write a revised draft of things
