But when I think back on the things they didn’t do, and I’m actually very glad about that season:

• Like making Carmy and Claire an “Endgame” couple. And in the end, she was only briefly present as a family friend during the final scene.

• Or like pairing Sydney and Luca together. I never understood that idea people had at all. But I guess it was to make up for the lack of Sydcarmy, too. But even the anti-Sydcarmy crowd liked that ship, so…

• I’m also glad they didn’t make Luca the head of the restaurant, I’m referring to that awful Elle article that suggested it… Cause wtf Sydney was right here!!!! And Carmy wanted to be Sydney too. Anyway fuck that article again.

As for the things we got that I’m happy about:

• More scenes between the restaurant characters. I love that we spent so much, and almost all of our time in the restaurant because of the season’s format. However, that also deprived me of things I would have loved to see and that I’ll never get to see. Like Sydney, Carmy, and the others hanging out together outside the restaurant and having conversations that aren’t exclusively about work for once. I am mourning this for real. Especially about Sydney who struggled a lot with that. She was too focus on that job for so long. I wanted to see her making some fun stuff I guess. She had fun in the restaurant that’s good too but anyway…

While finishing the last episode of born again yesterday, i was thinking they manage to overcome anything, some of the worst and dark stuff, and yet they were here in their favorite restaurant, pretending to have a normal date. Them being scared to live a normal life, but yearning for this at the same time, cause they knew it would never be possible 😕 but they just wanted to pretend for a moment.

Who thought this was a good idea? 😭

I knew for a while that Steve would be one of the main focuses of this movie, but having it confirmed now is complicated… 💀

I knew from the moment they hired RDJ to play Doom…. I really hated this cause Iron Man was my fav character and I thought he was the most well written. Time passed, and I did accept that RDJ would play Doom. But turn out it really turn into a nostalgia mess 💀 I know who would have thought, right? 🫩

Because for the audience to understand the connection between Yelena and Bob without having seen Doomsday, to care about their relationship and to understand the impact that Yelena's near-death would have on Bob, they need to understand that his reaction makes sense. That she probably means the world to him at that moment in Doomsday.

I’m just SO ready for this.

It would be the least forced thing in the world to use this connection between them to create drama and stakes for Doomsday...

Just think... the writers have to force Bob to use his powers and go Sentry. How else would you expect them to do it other than by threatening the person he cares about most in the world? It's obvious that after more than a year of living together, the writers would use this growing connection between them.

Yes, it may be cliché and all that, but it fucking works. It has to be tragic.
