âïž // it seemed sairose had asked the perfectly correct question. âiâm basing it off of the officerâs academy of my homeland. a place for students to learn self defense , for the protection of themselves and those around them.â
âthat said , whatever building is chosen for its basis would have to be big enough to accommodate as such. and would require a substantial plot of land , to construct additions as needed.â there was a slight pause as they walked , and byleth lowered her gaze to her feet as they went on. hand lifted , pressing lithe fingers to her lips in âthoughtâ. âthough , i suppose unsanctioned construction is considered illegalâŠâ
and sairose was now in the know of such scheme.
byleth allowed the silence to linger for a moment longer , before she turned her head to her companion. lips stretched into a small , slight smile. were she more accustomed to modern expressions ,  byleth might have even winked.
ââŠÂ but i assure you , iâve paperwork.â
Saoirse nodded her head. Training huh. Well, it sounded a little like a gym space would be suited for that, though she didnât remember seeing something like that around Cotes. Well, sheâs sure theyâll find something thatâs fairly close.
For only a minute, she stare at Byleth. Wide-eyed. Unblinking. Did... she just make a joke? From Saoirse jest?
The smile. Ah, the answer to her question.
Saoirse blushed a little, offering a chuckle in response. âIâm, glad that you do! it would reflect poorly on the guild for two of itâs members to conspire.â
She clears her throat. âWell, Iâm very happy to assist such a cause. Self-defense is a useful skill.â Not that she really knew the combat mechanics here. It seemed like everything was more free-for-fall, situation. âWere you a student at this academy? Or, from what it sounds like, you were a teacher?â
