An old friend from high school asked if she could drop a few records by, if I remember correctly her mom was an old school hippie, like a genuine grew up in the era, nothing fake about it, hippie.....so I knew there would be some good things in there! My favorite was The Strawberry Alarm Clock, followed by Rubber Soul, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, and an assortment of other psychedelic and comedy vinyls. Thanks Crystal!!!

Night out to see Raekwon/Ghostface Killah at The Ready Room. We stopped by Vintage Vinyl on the way there and bought a couple of records and got a couple for free. Found Cee-Lo Green I'm the hip-hop section and Cryptic Slaughter in the punk!! On the way out the door the clerk gave us not one, but two free records, Jefferson Starship and Yes.

Arriving in the mail: T.Rex and The Kills. Recorded 30 years apart, yet somehow both recordings seem to capture the same london electric rock and roll feeling.

Well it IS record store day, but we chose to stay home and order from online stores. So, I'll have to wait for them to arrive to post pictures! Meanwhile...and assortment of things I've sewn, not really vinyl related, but oh well.

Came home from work to find my amazon package at the door! Perfect for a friday. THE KILLS and SKYLAR GREY.

When Nick and I met, we both had the same cd case. His was undoubtedly better than mine. It was full of hardcore, punk, metal, and rap, while mine was full of mostly classic rock and mix tapes aquired from various places. Shoved in the floor boards of our cars, the cases followed us everywhere. Muddied by shoes from camping or swimming. My goal now is to listen to every cd in these books, the good and the bad in order, just for fun. Goals.
