This is exactly how UNARMED Black people are profiled and killed by cops. This is further proof that the white people who call the cops just to fuck with Black people do it on purpose

Lovely Locs

Locs hashtag
I noticed in the locs hashtag as you scroll you come across posts saying it's ok for whites to have locs. Or whites can have locs. Whoever writes them shits and posts them their are fucking idiots. No black person has to like white mats period. Posting that bs over and over in a hashtag that shouldn't even bother mentioning whites is pathetic. No one has to like white mats. NOT A FUCKING ONE .GET OVER IT ALREADY!!!!
today i spoke to a mixed jamaican lady. she was mixed african and indian. it was so interesting to hear here story. growing up in jamaica she hated being mixed with indian. she hated how her hair was different and she was actually teased for it. it wasnât until she got older and came to the States that she felt comfortable.
but she did tell me even to this day she struggles with a sort of identity issue. she asks her husband if sheâs black to him and he responds âno youâre mixedâ.
itâs always crazy how some mixed people have the issue of choosing as did i.
but i think itâs best to not choose and exist in both worlds because that is a unique experience that not everyone gets. it can be very discouraging when you do not look like both races or as mixed as some can be but it is important to remember that there is no MOLD or one way to look when youâre mixed. features of the two are mixed. weâre neither one or the other but both.
Dunked on by a dictionary đđ
This is how they brainwash ppl into thinking Black ppl are dangerous, just lies

Iâm so mad right now.
Are people actually using the Scotâs and Celtâs and Vikings as EXCUSES to say to POC that white people wore dreads?
DO NOT FUCKING USE MY HERITAGE AS A PLAYING CARD.
Iâm Scottish and have never once been told about dreadlock care, or how meaningful it is to wear as a people. What I have been told about is tartan and kilts and braids. Tattooâs donât hold as much meaning to us anymore though, but they did before.
Yet no mention of dreadlocks. (and if you use any roman accounts as evidence I swear to fucking god Iâm going to punch you in the neck)
For one we didnât even fucking wear dreads. It was all about braids. And another thing, even if by chance we did (which we didnât) that wouldnât give you the right to fucking wear them. If it was cultural, then it would be of value and meaning to us and solely us as a culture, like how we have Ceilidhs and how we throw the Highland games. Just like it is with POC and their dreads. Itâs something that they have done and always will do. Now the reason why us Scotâs DONâT dread our hair is very simple. Our natural hair isnât meant to do that. Braiding and curling and beads and feathers, yes. Dreads, no. Not even slightly.
SO DONâT YOU FUCKING DARE SAY THAT US AND THE PICTS AND THE VIKINGS DID IT.. No. No we fucking didnât. I canât believe youâre even using that as an excuse. Fuck off with your bullshit and stop appropriating other goddamn cultures for fashion. It isnât edgy, it isnât cool. Youâre just a goddamn asshole.
Dreads are beautiful on black women and men. They know how to care for them properly and I think theyâre the most gorgeous wearing them, when I see someone POC wearing dreadlocks, they always look so stunning. Us whiteyâs look fucking stupid with them because guess what! GASP! Itâs not our thing. It will never be our thing. Stop trying to convince people otherwise because I can point you to about 6 Scottish folk who will kick your fucking ass for trying to use us as bargaining chip because youâre so desperate to set yourself apart from the crowd.
While weâre at it, you just stink. Like seriously stink. You have no knowledge on how to care for your dreads. You have no idea. Neither do I since ITâS NEVER BEEN MENTIONED EVER AS A CULTURAL THING. Funny though how every POC with dreads smells lovely. Iâm guessing, and I say this with all the shade at the idiots who think they can get away with it, Iâm guessing itâs because they have accounts and accounts of evidence as to how to properly maintain the locks.
So just fucking stop. Stop stealing from other cultures. Youâve taken enough from them. Stop it.
White people with dreads/box braids rant
Letâs examine the fact that despite really having no issue with white people with dreads and locs, white people acted super defensive, attacked me, called me a racist, withdrew their support and got super upset. Letâs examine the fact that my argument amounted to âhey letâs examine why black people dread and braid their hairâ and it was met with âwell if black people can straighten their hair then why canât I loc my hairâ.
Letâs examine the fact that because I am a black woman simply speaking on the subject of white people with brads and locs that white people, with dreads, attacked me not even realizing that I had nothing against them and said very clearly that I donât believe in stopping people from doing whatever they want with their hair.
See, my issue with white people with dreads and locs is NOT that they have dreads or locs. Itâs the entitlement. Itâs the blind dismissal of the conversation around black hair, the complete and utter lack of understanding of what itâs like to be BLACK, have dreads or have braids and be profiled as a criminal or dirty because of it. Itâs white people yelling in my face âITâS JUST HAIRâ when Iâm trying to explain to them what I deal with with my hair as a black woman. Itâs the fact that itâs âjust hairâ to white people, and a choice between employment and unemployment for many black people. Itâs the fact that white people with dreads, all too often donât understand that we live in a society with Eurocentric beauty standards and how that is the EXACT reason why you will see white people with dreads or braids who just happen to be artistic or part of some sort of counter culture. Because for white people having these hairstyles goes against the norm. Getting your hair braided is âuniqueâ. Getting dreads is âedgyâ. Because it veers away from Eurocentric beauty standards that tell black people every single day of their lives that their hair texture isnât pretty enough or isnât acceptable. And those standards pressure black women, specifically, to put harsh chemicals on their head to have straighter hair that is less threatening to white society. Hair straighteners are literally called ârelaxersâ. Relaxers are sometimes even put on CHILDRENâS heads so that they can have a better chance at life. This is the message that is taught to us from a very early age. Fortunately with the Naturalista movements and the power of the Internet, black women are teaching their children to love their texture more and more each day. Thereâs decades of deprogramming that has to take place. Thatâs what weâre dealing with.
Of course with the reclaiming of our natural hair comes people looking at styles we use and wanting to try them on themselves. I donât personally have a problem with this objectively. I really honestly donât. MY PROBLEM is when people do this and then proceed to attack black people for having specific feelings about white people who do these styles. I am never the kind of person to tell someone what not to do with their body or their hair. If you want to âdreadâ your hair up then go do it. Do you boo. However, donât sit here and speak down to black people about dreadlocks or box braids because they feel some type of way about it. LISTEN to whatâs being said. When you yell things like âitâs just hairâ to a black person, youâre demonstrating the underlying issue here. Which is that to YOU itâs just hair. Because YOU can opt into a style so that you can feel and be unique or cool etc etc. These styles for many black people are a means of either protecting their hair, revering their culture or essentially coping with their hair texture or fully embracing it in itâs most natural state.
I literally had an emotional breakdown the other day because i was so frustrated with my hair texture. Thatâs a result of a society that tells me that i shouldnât even leave the house if I havenât done something with my hair because of what my texture communicates to society. Thatâs a very real thing for me and for many black women, specifically. PLEASE respect that, thatâs all Iâm asking. Literally thatâs all.
Itâs really hurtful to see so many white people, with dreads or box braids attacking black people and being super racist while wearing hair styles that regardless of how you want to twist it or view it, were popularized by black people how have been doing these styles literally since ancient times. Every culture has some sort of braiding technique. Do not tell me that you got your dreads because the Vikings had them, the Vikings didnât have dreads, they had plaits. Youâd know that if you gave fuckall about the Vikings. Just because it may look like a dread to you, doesnât mean that it IS a dread. Honestly-just spend an afternoon watching white people on youtube dread their hair and then watch black people getting their hair dreaded, there may be similarities, but the process is different and itâs different for a reason.
I am never gonna be one of these people that gonna tell you to cut your hair. I personally think Brooke Candy looks super badass with dreads. Iâve seen several white girl with dreads who I think look equally as badass. I donât have a problem with white people with dreads, I have a problem with white people with dreads or braids that go out of their way to attack, dismiss or silence conversations about black women and their hair. This was the point of my video and I think we really should examine the fact that a BUNCH of white people got really offended because Iâm black and Iâm talking about braids or dreads. They didnât stick around to hear me say that I have zero problem with white people who braid their hair or dread their hair. They literally jumped to conclusions and called me a racist. THINK about that
Think about the fact that a white girl with box braids is referred to as âbraveâ and âuniqueâ and black women who commonly wear the style are seen as dirty, ghetto and poor. We HAVE to examine these things and I feel like many white people with dreads opt out of this conversation and thatâs my problem. Nothing more, nothing less.
So before I end this rant, let me bottom line something: If you want to unsubscribe from me or unfollow me because I"m speaking out about the issues I face as a black woman when it comes to my hair texutre, then you were never here for me to begin with. I am sick and tired of specifically white people who adore me when Iâm dragging misogynists, transphobes and white men, but get caught in their feelings when suddenly the conversation is about them. I had SO many white people catch feelings about that video that itâs pretty bizarre. My cister even messaged me like âare we good?â like I DONâT hate you, I just want everyone who wears these styles to be aware that these hairstyles are coded as edgy and unique on white people, because they stand in opposition to Eurocentric beauty standards and how those Eurocentric beauty standards impact black people. Just think about it, thatâs all Iâm saying.
