when he first met mary, lyon was the way he usually was. but i do think he likes having her around when she is, she’s spunky but not in an annoying way to him. she’s definitely more talkative than him and as always, he appreciates it when other people fill silences so he doesn’t the feel the need to. it’s a win-win situation. 

normally when he heard That Voice say ‘oi Lyon!’ he braced himself for something. usually not a good something. but even gray could exceed expectations and in no time at all, a very smug (some would say tradmarked) smirk came across the man’s face.

it was lucky that lyon was used to thinking before speaking because for some reason the first thing that came to mind was ‘is that what they’re telling you in therapy’ but ultear would ... kill him. and hide the body so well it wouldn’t be traced back to her. so. lyon didn’t. and he supposed it was rather mean, lyon was just dealing with A Lot and he was hoping that visitng ultear (at her request no less) would be a good distraction. so far it’s been. well. she did not say she had a roommate.

at least jellal seemed to have his memories this time around.

“really?” lyon sat down at the little kitchen counter the two had in their apartment. he did help deep clean this place so he did know it was alright to sit in. the ice make mage placed his elbow on the counter top and his chin in his hand. he’d give this a try. “thinking of it that way, it makes sense why breakfast is considered the most important meal.”

He did not fall in love at first sight with Juvia. Lyon is not the type to fall in love at first sight; for the most part it takes him a while to attach to people unless he has predetermined ideas of what their bond can be like (Ur). This also just .. makes me feel uncomfortable because Juvia is like 17 and he’s 26 and I, as a 24 year old, wouldn’t look at a 17 year old like that. I think Lyon admired Juvia as a fellow mage but nothing more really. Or just teased Gray about her depending on who my writing partner is and if they’re comfortable with that.

Because of this point, he also does not make a bet with Gray about her because people are not trophies to be won!!! I think the bet was something else and I’m 100% willing to plot any and all silly bets with any and every Gray. Love some competitive spirit.

Also because he respects Juvia he does not ogle her or get distracted by her underwear in the Games, there’s a lot more going on then someone’s underwear.

Surprise for this point — same thing with Meredy. Meredy is significantly younger and there is so much going on. A literal war. No he doesn’t mention how cute she is. It’s out of place with what’s going on.
