i love when healing powers are a bit fucked up…. you didn’t set those bones back into place so now it’s been healed over extremely wrong but extra fast. healing magic that just speeds up the healing process which means it’s actually painful. a learner starts healing somebody with an arrow wound not knowing that you need to remove the arrow first so now the wound has magically healed around the arrow. using healing magic to prevent somebody from dying only to keep attacking them again and the cycle repeats. it’s good……….

yesterday i had a nice southern teenager call me "ma'am" and then look at me and go, in a well-meaning tone, "uhhhh, if you go by ma'am. sorry if not." and i had to be like yeah man ma'am is fine. appreciate you being inclusive though. i could almost see the little warning pop up in his UI-- hold up! people with blue hair often have pronouns. are you sure you want to address this individual with a gendered term?

i have for a while been using stepping on somebody's toes as a metaphor for misgendering. and i genuinely think that it's kind of a good one.

if you give a grovelling begging apology after accidentally stepping on somebody's toes one time you're going to make the whole thing awkward, but not giving a quick "sorry" before moving on is still kind of rude.
