It is important

there is so much love to be found in the mundane: the clink of mismatched mugs crowding the countertop, buying bruised fruit at the market to make sure everyone finds a home, the gentle rocking of the washing machine syncing up with your heartbeat, rubbing your legs together under fresh blankets like a little cricket, the perfect crunch of an exceptionally crisp chip, jumping straight into a rain puddle and getting a good splash, that first soul-deep stretch after waking up, tucking your face into your favorite sweater and feeling the world slow to a halt, even just for a little bit.

you deserve that particular type of peace where maybe not everything is perfect, but you’re content, you’re living, and it’s all fine

I know deep hurt. But I also know deep hope. Sometimes God’s power is shown as much in preventing things as it is in making them happen. We may never know why. But we can always know and trust the Who.

In 2022 prioritize relaxation, not being in a constant state of worry and anxiety. Being able to unplug from the worries and expectations of the world while enjoying the present moment. Prioritize setting up spaces and time to unwind and give yourself the attention and pampering you deserve. Life doesn't have to be hectic all the time.
