Remember how Amy seldom smiled as well when we first met her?

Remember how Amy took all physical forms of contact off the table as soon as she met Sheldon?

Remember how Sheldon adamantly denied for a long time that Amy was his girlfriend?

Remember when Amy found the notion of romantic love to be an unnecessary cultural construct that adds no value to human relationships?

Remember when Sheldon considered kissing an unsanitary exchange of saliva and the concept of coitus ridiculous and off-putting?

Remember when Sheldon was puzzled by the need to find another human being to share one’s life with?

Remember how over 8 years all of that completely changed?

It’s hard to fully put into words what this couple means to me. These two had shut themselves off to the idea of finding love, and they still found each other. And slowly, walls began getting chipped away for both of them, walls that had been built years and years before. Amy found friendship that she had always wanted but never thought she would have. Sheldon began to slowly appreciate his friendships that already existed, thanks to Amy’s influence. And over time, they fell in love, and have been completely transformed by that love. That has been the most beautiful aspect of their journey to me.

And now they are getting married. MARRIED! In all of the pics we’ve seen, they are both just radiating pure joy and happiness. They have come so far, and it’s been amazing to watch. I’m so excited to see the wedding and then fangirl with all of you lovelies. I’m going to be so full of emotions.
