Corruption 

   Lucy stepped out of the building. Her tail holding a paper. She grabbed the paper from her tail before writing on it. “Empty, again.” She sighed loudly, her catalogs showed a gray on its form showing her boredom through the light brim. She turned around, her arms sliding down as she started annoyed at Emmet. “ You said you saw more Cybers here!?” The light of her catalog sparked to a bright orange. “I swear I did… I promise I saw them over here!” His eyes darted towards Lucy, the light turned to a soft yellow. Lucy crushed the paper before throwing it at Emmet. “Seriously, do you NOT understand what our job is!? Why are we even here! You aren’t even a Mastercord yet and I get paired with YOU?!” Lucy growled, her voice echoed through the empty cold town. Her catalog became a strong red that pointed directly at Emmet. She then opened her hand before showing large claws that she pointed at Emmet with. “ Listen, you should just leave me to do this. Maybe you will find somebody as useless as you. “ she turned around, opening her wings before flying up and flying away.

 Emmet’s catalog lowered before a dark blue shined softly. He looked down realizing he wasn't anything special. He was a regular cyber. Growing up as kids even became Mastercords. He was still a low leveled Cyber. Before anything else a loud crash was heard, he turned around with a surprised look. A tall creature stared down at him, in the middle was a glowing purple heart with a metal surroundings. Emmet backed up, he’s never seen this. He felt his body lock on itself. The creature was pitch dark, the glowing sharpened eyes could be so obvious. He turned around running away, his catalog turned into a bright cyan color. He looked back every few seconds to see the creature completely still. At last when he stopped to check again, the creature was gone without a trace. He looked with his eyes completely widened. What was this? A hallucination? Was that even possible for robots? He looked behind him before a loud splash came from the air. Randomly purple ink began sinking into his eye, he gripped his face. The metal began melting off of his face. He tripped on a rock and fell on the ground. His body felt overheated and hard. He couldn't see as his catalog signaled a warning onto his vision. Blinking over and over it as it flashed “Error OVERDRIVE;E” over and over. Before he knew it, his vision blacked out. Hours later, he woke up in a medical pad. Lucy sitting on the floor playing on a laptop that a human must’ve left behind. Half of his vision was black with the rest being slightly distorted. He looked at Lucy confused before standing up. 

  Lucy looked over with a slight concern on her face, she didnt wanna show she cared but her catalog showed a light dry blue. “O-Oh you’re awake. Finally!” She said, her wings closing the laptop. She stood up before walking over and examining his face. “What happened..?” She said with her catalog lowering back, a light purple slowly emerged. “A-Ah… um.. It's not important…” He mumbled back, he looked around scanning the surroundings. “Seems pretty important if doc says your right eye is permanently busted until the new repair comes in likeee 2 years.” she said with a sarcastic but calm voice. He looked back at Lucy, rubbing his head before suddenly pain struck his body again. He collapsed once more, spitting out purple ink that had looked like oil. “EMMET!” Lucy yelled before grabbing him. Suddenly it seemed he wasn't useless for once. Emmet then looked up, a glowing purple eye shined from his right. Lucy backed up terrified. “What the..” her catalog became a noticeable bright purple. Emmet gripped his mouth before running out pushing Lucy out the way. He ran past other cybers staring at him. He ran into his room before sitting on his bed, his body shaking intensely. He looked around before seeing a black figure walk across his room. He closed his eyes, collapsing onto his bed. 

The 'robots' are called "Cybers" or "Cybors" and they were created by Humans simply for entertainment. The humans took knowledge and control to make these robotic creatures. Parents decided that toys were boring, making interactive creatures into full functional beings. Kids didn't like their looks and were even disgusted by them leading to them beating, ripping, and abusing the robots. Eventually the robots learned and grew their own personality leading to them attacking back.
