Still from Pedro Almodóvar's The Skin I Live In. I love finishing off the weekend with a creepy movie like this one. Reminded me a bit of first or second season nip/tuck but creepier- you know before it got all weird, with story lines revolving around that weird son that had anger issues and kind of looked like a latter-year Michael Jackson. But this had a plot that took you in unexpected places. Beautifully shot, and I actually cared about what happened. Shocking? Definitely, but I love that feeling of unease in cinema. A lot of very interesting social and emotional implications as well, but you will have to watch it to see what I mean. By the way, Antonio Banderas. That. Was. The. Role. Of. Your. Life.
