SO. For context. I submitted my book to a publishing company a few weeks ago. They’re part of a bigger entertainment group (they produced Madam Secretary!!!) and ONLY consider manuscripts that they feel they can adapt to screen. So…they liked my sample chapters. Now this Hollywood screenwriter (who is the head of the publishing division) IS CURRENTLY READING MY BOOK TO CONSIDER FOR PUBLICATION.

It will be two weeks TOMORROW since I sent the manuscript to him .

I NEED A ‘YES’!!!!!!

truly, the worst thing about being on the spectrum isn't the meltdowns or the intense sensory processing. it's being told "you're too much and not enough." the goalposts are moved every single time i speak and it's. disheartening.

it's funny, i keep a spreadsheet of how long it takes before my coworkers at any given job decide to go to my manager about me being too intense and whatnot. at my current job, it's been two years, which is the longest stretch i've ever had.

sad that i've cataloged this. all of this. all because i am being myself and yet...i'm too much and not enough. every. single. fucking. day.
