NASA has released new images of Jupiter, taken by the Juno Spacecraft.
God I wish Vincent van Gogh was alive to see this
That sentiment is so sweet and pure.
Your eyelids slide so smoothly against your eye.
It’s odd that we can remember that we’ve forgotten something without remembering what it was.

“My method has No method. You need only to stop. Stop clinging, Stop scheming, Stop analyzing, Stop all your strategies and lastly, Stop giving your thoughts the authority to define Who you are. Simply allow what remains to reveal Itself.”

Self Confidence
Zen can help you develop all kinds of self confidence. When you are not feeling confident, you are too worried about yourself. You are worried that you might fail, that failing might make you look bad, or that you may not be good enough in the first place. With Zen, you throw all that out the window. Start from a belief that you are something totally separate from success and failure. You are not anything less because of your failures and not anything more because of your success. Likes and dislikes don’t even reflect on you. Understanding that your Self cannot be measured gives you freedom to be yourself.
Any experience can be frightening, but knowing that you can handle every situation gives you the confidence to go on. Trying to protect the Self from setbacks is pointless. Only your ego can be hurt. Your Self is impervious to ego bruises. Each time the Self observes an ego inflation or deflation it gains perspective on the ego and remains perfect.
Crazy!
Friendly reminder to not punish yourself for creating.
Can you elaborate on what you mean by this?
I have a tendency to beat myself up whenever something I make doesn’t meet my expectations (which is always). The result is that finishing something = bad feelings: I am effectively punishing myself for having created something. The natural reaction to this punishment is an aversion to creation, meaning that my perfectionism is harming me, not only by causing me to despise what I do make and by impeding the creative process, but by attacking even my desire to create.

Our brain constantly calculates possible futures and forgets about them immediately. Maybe deja vu is just our brain remembering the calculation and is surprised about actually having predicted the future.

Instead of living every day as if it was your last day, live every day as if it was everybody else’s last day and you will find yourself more compassionate and patient.

It's Okay to Suffer
The path to end all suffering starts with suffering. That’s why it’s okay to suffer. In order to turn suffering into the path to end all suffering, you have to give yourself permission to suffer. You shouldn’t look for new ways to suffer, but if you find yourself suffering in one of your usual ways, then accept that suffering and use it to move along your path.
Besides not seeking suffering for yourself, you should try your best not to create suffering for other people. Everybody is on their own path and everybody will find their own particular ways to suffer without your help. When you find other people suffering, you can try to help alleviate their suffering. That is part of your path to end all suffering.
The way to alleviate your own and others’ suffering begins with recognizing suffering and understanding that it is okay to suffer. You may not be able to change the conditions that inspire the suffering, but when you notice suffering, you can feel compassion for yourself or the other person. Compassion will take the edge off the suffering. When you are truly okay with suffering, it won’t be suffering anymore. That will be sensational.
