HI I just wanted to drop in & say sorry for the lack of art lately!! I’ve been very busy with work (colouring, that is), I recently had an interview which will be in next months Megazine (so cool!), and in my other job (publishing) I’m actually designing page layouts for our new book. So lots of stuff going on, all very exciting & I really need to share more of my professional work here so y’all can see What I Do BUT. But. It does mean my illustration practice has suffered a little. I’m working on lots of things but finishing anything is uhhh….

Anyway. Here are some things I’m slowly cooking up (look forward to these) & if anyone has suggestions for what to draw next please let me know in the tags or replies!

#I gave up after a certain point but it was fun to Just Draw without much of a plan #1977 Ray was a very good era...#the kinks #art #the kinks art #the kinks fanart #classic rock fanart #OH also (and this is very important) I've been having real trouble with the colours looking dull on non-apple screens #turns out I've been using the P3 colour profile (instead of sRGB) this whole time....#^^this piece was actually done on procreate I was just trying to adjust the colours on PS #but having checked on my phone I can see it did not work...kms

I feel like I've gotten so used to colouring other people's art that I don't know how to colour my own.

Also, I realised I shouldn't have used my Alex Raymond (inky) brush for this project but I'm halfway through my fantasy!who thing and I can't change it now. I love art so much !!!

I always forget to post my WORK work here…but I recently had the privilege/honour/etc of colouring thee Dave Gibbons’ original artwork for a new Rogue Trooper anthology! This is actually Rogue’s first appearance from a 1981 black & white ad (click keep reading to see that). Shout out 2000AD for giving me such cool opportunities.
