Let me just say, to all the minors and college students following me, it is okay if you're not keeping up with your homework and grades right now.
The fact that students, young people, are expected to keep up with classes whilst many adults are getting an extended break from work (not all, of course, but that's a separate issue) is fucked. Your minds are the most vulnerable. You deserve a break just as much if not more than they do. Online schooling is often harder, depending on your learning style, and placing the expectation on children to do more work when the world is going through global scale trauma is just... again, fucked.
For many of you, the school year is just ending, and your grades might not be where you want them to be or where your parents want them to be. If you're safe to do so, gently remind your parents that you've been trying very hard all year and are suffering a lot right now from being locked up inside, deprived of positive socialisation during your formative years. If you're not safe to do so, remind yourself of that. The same standards shoudn't and don't apply right now. The education standards you're being held to are unfair, ableist, and broken at best and so much more than that at worst. Right now, we're at worst.
