weeks 11-20 on my weekly poster challenge this year, crazy I've actually managed almost half a year of getting these done. 1-10 here.
I love Con shenanigans so much
This was during AniMuc last Saturday. 😊
Heres the First Make Up Test for my Hades Cosplay:
The Prosthetics are made out of latex, but I'm going to cast them a bit differently the next time, so that they don't crease as much and to hide the seams easier. Once the cosplay is finished I'm also going to apply a bald cap.
I'm going to wear Hades next Sunday for the Cosplay Cherry Blossom Meet. (But paired with Getos/Kenjakus Beach Outfit since I'm still working on Hades "Himation" and Chiton)
See you soon for the next update!

Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.
>:)c
May I present to you, nationalclothing.org?
It doesn't have everything, but it's still my first source when researching traditional clothing from other cultures.
There's also this resource on historical fashion: Claire’s Historical Fashion Reference & Resources
another addition as far as physical media goes there is the encyclopedia of national dress (that i still need to buy myself bc this kind of thing is super important to my sort of fantasy designing) but yes i do agree i wish there was EVEN MORE documentation on this

I made myself a little Biyoo!
I'm obsessed with this little ball of fluff since she first appeared.
Tomorrow I'm going to LBM a book and manga/comic convention with very strict rules for cosplays and since mine are all Demons, Monsters and/or crazy head wounds I can't wear any of them.
So I decided to make this tiny thing.
Her body is completely made out of cotton wool and held in shape by a ton of got to be glued hairspray and the arms are attached with hot glue.
The horn is mostly aluminium foil and hot glue.
All the colour is either permanent markers or make Up.
She has a magnet on the bottom so I can carry her on my shoulder.
The whole project took like 2 hours.
(her horn is a bit too big, but who cares🤷♂️)
Here's a carry test from earlier today. I've added a bit more cotton since then.
🌱Master post of the Growth comic!☘️
Genuinely don't know if I'm ever going to finish these, but I'm still proud of them! I'll put the master post with the cannibalism comics up too as a last confetti toss for the cotl fandom
This was AMAZING, STELLER work and you should be super proud of it! It was an incredible treat to have your artwork for this scene, thank you for it! I am still completely floored by all of the detail and the attention you've put into every panel
Keep making wonderful stuff ✨
The One Who Waits Cosplay Update!
Guess who's ready for his fur!
He's looking way friendlier than originally planned, but maybe it'll change once he's hairy. If not, who cares.
My biggest question is how to make his beaded veil? In the game it's easy because it's 2d, but in real life? I have no idea how to make this look good.
I have 3 ideas and I like none of them.
A) If I put it on his forehead, it's just flush against his face and is in his eyes.
B) I put it a bit away from his face and just his snout sticks out
C) he gets a hat(??) Or something with a wide brim where the vail is attached to.
I'm open to ideas. I'd really like to add this.
That's everything for now!
I'm currently working on my bachelors performance so I decided to post some updates:
To give some context: I'm studying "Figurentheater" (animated theatre) in Germany (it includes Material theatre, object theatre and Puppetry + some puppet making and set design) and for finals we have to create a show.
I'm going to make a horror theatre performance based/inspired by Edgar Allan Poes "the tell tale heart" with 2 people, shadow theatre and a puppet (+maybe masks)
Right now I'm working on the puppet of the old man
Today I'm working on the skin texture and hopefully start with the mold. I'm going to do a silicone mold with a hard shell (either plaster bandages or resin depending on the weather). And then cast the head in silicone.
Yesterday I made the eyes (they're made out of UV resin and acrylic paint)
I couldn't decide on the colour for the second eye so I made all of them, but I'm going to use the brown.
And here's a bad scan of the first sketch I made. I'm using it only loosely for orientation.
So yeah!
If anyone is interested I can do some more updates throughout the puppet making otherwise the next update will be once I demolded the head :)
I finished making Sukunas Finger!
It's completely made out of silicone (exept for the nail) and I think I want to play around a bit more with the colours for the next one. Overall quite happy with how he turned out.

The One Who Waits Cosplay - Update!
I finally started with Narinders Head!
When I first started to sculpt this thing, I thought I knew what a cat looked like...
But I do not. But I made a tape pattern, scaled it with the printer and made a paper test.
And yeah....dude looks like he stumbled right out of a disney cartoon.
Still. I made the foam base.
He still needs to be heat shaped but right now it's 11:15 pm and I don't want to wake the neighbours.
I think I can get rid of some of the cutesy-ness with some sanding and Foam clay.
I can figure out the jaw tomorrow and then start with the mouth or eyes.
Overall I'm quite happy and there is nothing un-fixable :)
Cult of the Lamb - The One Who Waits Cosplay
I've started to plan my the one who waits cosplay. so this is just a quick idea dump / cosplay breakdown, so that i don't forget anything.
The plan is to finish Narinder for games com in August. Thats 5 1/2 months to figure out how to make a hopefully realistic furhead. but I've never made one, so this could also go horribly wrong. Originally I wanted to make Narinder really tall, but after having to wear 60cm diy stilts for my void (berserk) cosplay and thoroughly hating it I decided to go a bit smaller with 30cm stilts. so that i'll be around 2m once i'm finished.
here's the current to do list:
-> furhead:
Eva foam headbase (this way I can sculpt a small version of the head and the scale the pattern with the printer)
Acrylic follow me eyes
mouth (teeth, tongue, etc.)
patterning and furring
ears?????? idk how to make them
silicone nose
detailing
-> stilts:
wood
30cm high
add ankle support
wear hidden kneepads.
-> slimy bone arms:
probably a tight long sleeved shirt with the bones made out of cotton and latex and hidden buttons or Velcro connect the sleeves and gloves
not sure how to get the slimy look
-> gloves and finger extensions:
not sure if I do 4 or 5 fingers (character design says 4, but it'll get uncomfortable at a con)
finger extensions probably out of Eva Foam
detailing with cotton and latex
hidden velcro or button holes
-> robe:
embroidery details in silver or gray
maybe beading
-> face covering:
no idea how to make this thing. either its really far away from the forehead to hide the muzzle or its just going to stick out.
beads.
-> chains and shackles:
Eva Foam
hidden velcro
this is going to be.. a lot. especially since I also need to make hades as part of a cosplay duo for dokomi in June. but he's not that complicated. Luckily for me I can work on a lot of the detailing while im on the train.
