Everything began almost exactly one year ago.
During that time I had a great dilemma, almost a depression, about my future. What should I study? Architecture? Scenography? Kunsthistory? History? Business?
There were so many things which I loved. But I had to choose.
And this is a brief summary of my way from decision to achieving or not achieving (you will see) my goal.
As a student of EGT I had an opportunity to be a member of school company. We were New Generation. In spite of the fact I was Vice president for production, I participated on many other activities. For example marketing campaign, which is in tight relationship with production. With help of others, I filmed and edited my first video ever. Completely by myself. It was a commercial for our product Sliced chocolate SLICE.
It was a turning point in my life.
Since I made this video something has changed. In my head some kind of order was created. No more chaos about future. I felt as an enlighten person because I progressively realized, that filming and editing videos is really creative activity. It is connected with art, hard work, creativity, accuracy but mainly it is synthesis of majority of my interests. That was how I discovered film editing and decided to apply for Film and TV school of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU). The fact, that my dad is professionally interested in film art and he immediately supported me, assured me in my decision.
This is historical photography (1865) of building where FAMU is located. It is in the centre of Prague, right next to National Theatre with a view to Hradčany.
In summer 2016 I started to concentrate on admission process because deadline for portfolio was at the end of November 2016. I tried to be productive during leisure also and by that way I made a short video from trip to Budapest.
I was continuously working and creating. Sometimes I did not even realized possibility of using some of photographs or shots as part of official portfolio. For example this one:
September came. Time was running. Stress was higher. Application was not only thing I had to care of. School, driving lesson (which I still don't have hahaha), ribbon ceremony...I would like to study history of cinematography and create all day every day but I also had these duties. I tried as hard as I could. At the end of November I sent my portfolio. And also gave application for VŠMU in Bratislava (as backup).

I was chosen to second round in Prague. I am so glad!

Admission process
First part was not so bad. But after test I felt so miserable and stupid. I went to theatre in spite of the fact that day was extremely exhausting and then felt much more miserable and exhausted.
In the next morning I had an interview. That was horrible. At least my feelings were. I felt so worthless. And naive. Oh, how naive I felt. What did I think?
Nevermind. At least I tried. Happy ends are in films, not in reality. I am probably not enough mature for that school.
Results came two weeks later. I told myself: “Ok, let's check it. At least, I will be motivated, because I am having another admission process at VŠMU (which is probably also pointless) next week”.
Suddenly a shock came. Same shock as shock during car accident which I survived in September 2016. Also shock of happiness.
I am accepted.
I will be (after successful graduation) a student of FAMU.
Wow. I am sooooo happy!!!!!
But this is just happy end of the beginning of a hard and long way.
