Begin Again | Dakiris

Osiris shut the door behind her and looked at her.  Watching her shrug, “What is wrong? Are you okay? Is your family okay?” He asked a little bit more frantic now in a worrisome tone. He had cheated and hurt here and yet here she was in his apartment, something had to be wrong which worried him even more. “Dakota, speak up.” He said pushing his hand through his messy hair. “Take a seat, I was just in my room watching some television. Please ignore the mess I haven’t been able to get up and clean.”

Dakota walked in. Everything was more of a mess than usual, since he typically was pretty organized. She leaned against the counter, arms folded across her chest while she still tried figuring out exactly what she came for. "No, no," she shook her head after the silence had seemed long enough. "My family is fine. Vegas is the dildo king of MB now, apparently," she smirked. She moved and sat on the couch, glancing back toward his room. After a week of not being here, it felt so foreign since she was used to being here so often. "I don't even know why I came.." she finally admitted. "I guess I just needed to see you." Her voice was so quiet and defeated, but she didn't have anymore tears left to cry.

Osiris had looked rough, his facial hair was growing into a beard, his hair as pushed back with a headband, and he had his own glasses on to hide the dark circles under his eyes. He hadn’t been sleeping and the only reason he had ate was when he smoked. He was laying in bed watching Orange is The New Black in his room in bed when he heard the knock. He had went through most of the Netflix shows, taking off work all he did was watch television. Looking at the time he was a bit confused but didn’t question it. He got up in, didn’t bother putting a shirt on, in his sweatpants and answered the door. Seeing Dakota on the other side of it caught him off guard. “Kot- kota. Come in!” he moved out of the way and let her inside, shutting the door behind her.  “What are you doing here? Are you okay?”

As soon as he had opened the door, her heart dropped. It was beating fast and felt like it fell to the pit of her stomach, but she didn't know why. She didn't know what she expected this moment to feel like, but this wasn't it. It was a mixture of happiness to see him again and reliving the hurt all over again. But seeing him in the state he was in was even worse. Dakota sucked her lips into her mouth, looking at the ground because she couldn't bare to make eye contact with him. "..hi," she said softly, looking up for a second with a small forced grin, then reverting back. In a way, she felt shy being around him. She walked inside, but didn't answer his questions other than with a shrug and shaking her head because she didn't know the answers. She didn't know what lead her to his house this late at night and she didn't know if she was okay. Kota chewed on the center of her bottom lip, thinking of what to say. Honestly, she just wanted to be back in his presence.
