I cannot believe Ive had this blog since I was... like 15? Im turning 24 this year.

Whats up with that! I started this blog as a horrifically unstable 15 year old living in horrible conservative North Carolina just coming into my queer trans identity, and now I live in a lovely city on west coast Canada, Im getting published (as a transmasc model) in my first mens magazine this year, I have my own studio for my design work, Ive been in a stable relationship for almost 3 years....age...time...its real and strange and fast?? And while things aren’t perfect by any means and there has been a lot of struggle, I really did become the person 15 year old me wanted to be. Seeing all of my old posts and thinking about old tumblr, this blog is just a nice reminder of that change. Of the person I was and the person I am now and how far Ive come.

A cisgender woman gets escorted out of the women’s bathroom by two policeman because she was wearing “masculine” clothing and didn’t have an ID to prove she was female and complying with the law. The policemen call her sir and refuse to let her simply go to the bathroom until she can prove she is truely female.

This backfire of transphobic legislation only shows that bathroom bills are not meant to protect anyone. They are meant to punish anyone who does not fit strictly within their deffinition of a man or a woman often leading to sexist generalizations and assumptions to judge who may or may not be “really” a woman.
