Well this just took a turn

I fell in love with musical theatre when I was little. My parents always had some soundtrack on. Barbra took up so much of that, partly because of her huuuge catalogue, but also because my parents are, well, my parents’ age, so a lot of their stuff was hers. Oh my God, I want pictures! Do it do it do it!!!

I did, too. My mom’s considerably younger than my fathers, but somedays I think she likes Barbra more than them. They’re all utterly obsessed with her, so much that my middle name is Barbra. I was belting out songs from Funny Girl at age two, and that was when it was very obvious to my entire family that I’d be working in show business in one way or the other. If you go to my Instagram, there’s a picture there! It was amazing.

That's amazing. Can't fault them for wanting their own little Babs. Good to know someone else has been singing since they were little; I always was afraid that never actually happened to people and they were just exaggerating, and so no one would believe me when I said I've been musical since the day I was born. I'm told I was singing as soon as I figured out how it worked... Not super well, mind you, because children's voices are just plain under-developed, but yeah.

You said “royalty,” not Our Lord and Savior Babs! Oh, I could see it. Just in your face, looking at your pictures. Pop a bob wig on your pretty face and bam, instant Fanny. Actually, your hair in general would look super cute like that. I recommend it at some point.

I can’t believe there’s someone around my age who appreciates Barbra as much as I do! The only other people I know who appreciate her is my mom and dads. Funny you say that– I was planning on doing that for Halloween this weekend. I have a replica of her 1969 Oscar pantsuit that I’m wearing.

You know your Broadway, I like it. But don’t forget to add Barbra Streisand to that list. She’s the one I relate with the most. If I don’t get to play Fanny Brice at some point, I’m going to be very disappointed.
