Her laughter faded with Elliot’s reply, but she was still smiling. “I’m sorry,” she added, shaking her head at herself. At the snickers, she pressed her lips together. “Don’t give them the satisfaction. It’s not worth it, trust me,” she said, as low as his voice was.

She shook her head. “No way. You’re way more perfect than I am.”

While flattered, the prince had to disagree. “No, I’m not.” he admitted. “I’m a complete impulsive mess who never thinks before he speaks. You on the other hand, you are beautiful and have one of the brightest spirits I think I have ever seen.” 

She pulled the covers over her head. “But do I have to? Can’t we just lay here and cuddle all day?”

Veronika laughed, covering her mouth to stifle the sound. “I was just joking. They’re not coming.” She patted his arm with a sigh. “But they do look pissed so you’ll just have to deal with it unless you really want them to come.”

Elliot: Ahh guys voices, I see.

She giggled and kissed him. “You really think so?”

“sure it is,” she said, enjoying the teasing. “maybe you just aren’t that funny, hmm?”
