heaven would be lying if she said she didn’t want a positive response. she wasn’t trying to look for a relationship, after everything that had happened between them but she wanted to know if she at least could still have a chance in future. upon hearing elliot’s response, her heart warmed and she closed up the dog’s treats and stood up. “your answer.. was not what i was expecting. i don’t know what i expected really.. i guess something positive. and, i guess i did get it..”, she fiddledd with her fingers as she walked up to him, looking upat him. “i’ll always have love for you too.. whether it be in my heart, soul, my brain, even.. i’l always love you too..”, she confessed as well. peering into his eyes, a bright smile spread across her face before she decided to take a chance. standinf on her tippy toes, she pressed her lips against elliot’s, resting her hand on  his chest. she knew they weren’t relationship ready and nor did she want them to be right now but it helped knowing that they’d always have high importance for one another.

elliot was stunned, to say the least. if there was going to be someone to make the first move, it would be him. he accepted her kiss gratefully, cupping her face in his hands with his thumbs moving across her cheeks gently. it had been forever since they last kissed, but it felt like nothing had changed. his heart was pounding in his chest--he couldn’t believe his luck. all the terrible memories of what had happened with heaven seemed to be out of sight and out of mind, because all elliot could focus on was how right it felt to be kissing her. “angel,” he said softly, dropping his hands from her face to hips, pulling her closer into him. “it’s been forever since we did that.” he spoke, a grin pulling at his lips. “so--” he began, cutting off his words by pressing another soft kiss to her lips. “i’m going to take advantage of this moment, if you don’t mind.” kissing her again, this time with more force, elliot held her as close as possible, their bodies sandwiched in the doorway of his kitchen.

“In like– an exhausting way.” As she said this she stretched out, practically laying down right then and there, had she her own way she might have even fallen asleep there. “I feel like– I dunno, something’s up, with India. I don’t know what but I know that it is. Intuition or whatever.” Jolie was needy, though she’d never admit it aloud, she definitely had some sort of deep seated abandonment issues and separation anxiety and while she knew in her heart of hearts that her sister had been into some more shadier dealings, she still idolized her completely so the past few weeks had been difficult. “I never said you weren’t good for nothing,” she pointed out, small affectionate smile on her face as her form of thanks. “You’re a true hero,” she took the bottle and pulled from it, no bother with a glass. The wine was sweet, anything else too harsh for her sensibilities, and her lips were stained as she handed the bottle to Elliot. “I know I have like the easiest life in the world or whatever but honestly sometimes i just think about totally running away to like Greece or something.”

“... something bad?” he asked, careful to not cross any lines. he knew jolie loved her sister like no other, and he didn’t want to piss her off by saying something wrong. “i’ll send good vibes and shit, just in case.” he added, knowing that prayers didn’t help shit. elliot grinned back at her, pleased that at least someone thought he was something of worth. “it’s alright, everyone else says it enough. i guess you’re just a special case, huh?” he scrolled through his phone while she took her share, only to be amused when he looked back up. “you’re got a little--” he motioned to his lips, noticing the instantaneous stain the dark wine gave her mouth. taking the bottle happily out of her hands, elliot took a few sips before nodding. “greece? fuck, take me with you. i’d love to eat gyros all day, shit.”

heaven gave another soft giggle as she shrugged. “it’s weird because i usually never say that word. i’m like.. a grandma. the most unlit person that there is.”, she tried explaining, downing herself around him. she fiddled with  the dog’s ears and made funny faces at him, a smile coating her face as she did so. however, when called pretty, her smile faltered slightly, unsure of how to react to the compliment.  she only gave a soft chuckle before shrugging. “the most.. oh! oh, okay.. well, if it’s possible, can he even love me more?”, she teased, moving to try and grab the treats for the dog. with a smile, she watched as the dog jumped from her lap and began to hop up and down, waiting for her. “can the same happen for you? i deliver you more pizza and you end up loving me?”, she teased moving to toss a treat across the room, watching as the dog ran after it. “he’s such a good boy! i love him so much..”, she exclaimed, kneeling to kiss the dog’s head.”your owner, however.. that’s another bucket of worms.”, she teased.

elliot was slightly shocked. he was unsure of how to reply, seeing that heaven was being quite bold in the moment. he was about to speak, but instead he stood in silence, unsure of how to go about the situation. why was she bringing up love? didn’t he tell her that he just wanted to be friends? she was making this a lot more difficult than need be. “uh, well, you see,” he laughed nervously, scratching the back of his neck. “i already love you, heaven. i always will have love for you. you know that, right?” he asked, just deciding to tell her the truth. he wasn’t... in love with her, but he had been through enough with her that he couldn’t ever lose the love he had for her if he tried. “but, if you want to deliver more pizza, that’s cool too. it’s just not necessary.”

“ i will not consider it a date. and i’m about to fill YOU with haterade. that kind of sounds like it could be a sex thing but i promise it’s just an empty threat that has no meaning whatsoever. anyway—no. i’m artist and a performer and a creative genius, not a meme maker. ”

“not even like a friend date? are you trying to have hate sex with me, declan? creative genius... sounds like something... a great meme maker would say.”

heaven looked up at elliot, awaiting his response. a large part of her wanted him to let her stay and upon hearing his reswponse, the brightest smile spread across her face. “okay! lit!”, she immediately stopped herself, shaking her head. “god, i will probably never say that again. i’m embarrassing myself in front of a cute guy.”, her face went red as soon as she said it but she quickly moved to his couch in order to hide her face. “crush away, okay? i’m just gonna sit here an-  mr. pb!”, she squealed, watching as the dog ran up to her and hopped in her lap. she giggled ashe licked her peting his gently. he still remembers me after so long.. weird, huh?”, she asked, peering over at elliot.

shaking his head back and forth, elliot chuckled quietly. “it’s okay, people still say lit. i won’t judge you too harshly for that one.” he could feel his heart skip a beat when she called him cute, it had been a long time since she had shown any sort of affection towards him, but it felt right. “cool, i’ll try to not be super disgusting, but--” he trailed off, before taking another massive bite. he leaned against the kitchen counter, watching as his dog approached her and jumped in her lap. “that’s a good boy!” he praised, pleased to see that he still remembered her. “how could he forget such a pretty face? or the girl who gives him the most... t-r-e-a-t-s? i didn’t wanna’ say the magic word, otherwise he’ll flip out and probably plow you down. but, you can give him a few milkbones, i’m sure he’d love you even more after that.”
