I have totally disappeared into the Scottish Highlands in this book, it is like taking a trip to another part of the world and being a fly on the wall in the local society, as you don't experience as a tourist.

Applemore is a town like Stars Hallow in Gilmore girls with all amazing people some more eccentric than others, and the gossip queens and everything a good village needs.

I am at chapter 23 and I only stop reading to get some to drink or go to the restroom.

My choco coffee gets cold, as I forget to drink it so now I have switched to blackcurrant juice.

I have started The daisy chain flower shop by Laurie Gilmore, as it was my turn to have it in the Libby library app, not the best timing as we are having my in-laws on holiday for the next 14 days and I am halfway through a novel I borrowed at our local library Saturday, I can finish it in 3 days if I read a couple of hours every day. Then I can read a chapter or two of this book at night before bed when I am too tired in my wrists to hold a physical book.

Then I can keep up with my library time limits.

I really struggled to just rest, as I can't accommodate my neurodivergence or my highly intelligent brain, well enough to not feel restless.

This restlessness I have always struggled with when my body flares up, as a child and teen, and I was told it was depression and I needed to get out in nature and do sports more than I did already, I had a horse, I sailed, I did run, I skiied a week every winter, I love it but it totally ruins my body and my health.

I have so much pain in my wrists and fingers I can't even open the lid of a bottle when it is new.

So I can't draw, I can barely hold my phone to write here, I can't hold a book it has to be laid in a specific was so I don't sit bad and still can read and change the pages, I can't crochet, I can't walk other then 5 meters, as my hips and knees and ankles have a mind of their own and aren't stable at all.

I have seen every movie and TV series and YouTube content worth watching at least 7 times, I have listened to every podcast worth listening too, so it isn't stimulating or distracting to watch.

- no bloating and minimal pain day despite it is the most horrible week a month due to hormonal fluctuations.

We have been at the library, as we had someone who wanted to view our house as it is for sale and I found this novel that is on my reading list.

I read the first chapter at the library and now I have made me a iced soy choco café latte and now I want to read the next chapter.

I have a love for Scotland, Shetland and Ireland, both in crimes in TV and in romantic novels. Shetland is one of our closest neighbouring countries, it feels close to home, and I love the way they speak English it is so charming.

If I have read this book in English, I would have read it with a Scottish dialect in my head.

My in-laws are coming to visit us as their holiday, in 6 days and they are staying 10 days, they are in their late 70s and middle 80s so they sleep in. I am a morning person and most of my energy is from 6.00-12.00, and we are not homeschooling while they are here so my mornings are free, so I can read and cozy up in a blanket with my book as the mornings are getting colder.

Eat my abnormal breakfast in silence nicely relaxed, as I prefere it, then there is no strange looks and no comments and no petty comments or looks. As my breakfast is 4 bites of unseasoned specially prepared chicken or salmon and that is it, due to all my digestive disabilities.

- I have shifted my eating schedule around and I had no pain or bloating yesterday. Eating fiber meal for dinner and only 1g fiber (GI dysmotility likely gastroparisis so I need a very low fiber diet)

- I got my broken electric wheelchair shifted out with a new one yesterday, so now I can get out again 😃

- it was a wonderful day yesterday I had energy until 17.00 and didn't need to lay down before 17.00 ✨

- I made my daughter lunch and dinner yesterday and made myself lunch

- went grocery shopping in one store

- had a fabulous cozy morning with my daughter

- homeschooling my daughter

- made avocado onigiri with my daughter I am teaching her to cook healthy meals

- crocheted a bit of the finishing details on my new sweater

- made my daughter dinner

- made my husband lunch

- cooked myself lunch and dinner according to my disability diet

- found my daughter some sports bras as she is hitting early puberty now just as I did at 9 years old, thanks to genetics.

- I have started Pumpkin Spice Café by Laurie Gilmore again as an audio book 🍁

- Went grocery shopping in 4 stores as they were out of stock of several of the items on my grocery list. (My husband pushed me on my rollator as my electric wheelchair has stopped working Friday)

- got 4 ring binders and 400 plastic inserts for my daughters drawings

- put all the plastic inserts into the ring binders

- filled 200 drawings from a box into one of the ring binders

- sorted all my daughters toys (it haven't been done the past year due to me being too disabled to do so this past year.)

- tidyed the garage livingroom

- vacuumed the caravan

- taken a shower

- blow-dried my hair

I am in a flare up again and I am extremely constipated and I have doubled my laxatives compared to last month, I am still extremely constipated and bloated in my stomach the most. My safe foods are changing and I have have to cut most of my safe foods out from last month, the few things I didn't react too today is 1 piece of brioche bread with vegan butter, 1 choco hazelnut wafer and black currant juice and my glucose tablets. I can likely also tolerate my soy chocolate milk but that is it.

My in-laws are coming on vacation to visit us and I can't eat anything, and I am more limited than I have been in a long time. We will be cooking and they will be eating out and I can't eat or drink anything as I am reacting to most drinks too.

It is what it is but, I am just so annoyed as I know me not being able to eat much will draw a lot of attention along with them not having seen my electric wheelchair in real life. It is 7 months since they saw us and then I used my rollator and crutches for the stairs

Now I use my electric wheelchair when out most of the time, to be safe.

It is a lot!

Tomorrow we are able to go outside again as the poisonous oak catapillers has transformed into nonpoisonous moths.

I can't wait to get into a somewhat normal routine, at least for me.

Edit:

Now my electric wheelchair has systemic errors and will not drive. I have warranty but I have to wait to resend it and figure out a deal to get it replaced as soon as possible on Monday.

- inclusive cooking class today's lunch is made 90% by my daughter it was stir-fried rice with vegetables, she cooked the rice before breakfast so it could cool down as it have to for a stir-fry.

- have adjusted my meds to how my body have been reacting the past week, my best month of the year is over and I have had to up and even double some of my meds to adjust to how my body is most of the time 11 months of the year when my body doesn't what to act somewhat normal.

- my foods are changing as I every 2-3 months as it starts to react to my disability safe foods, I hate this changing period as I am terrified of all foods as it is like playing russian roulette for a few weeks to find my new safe foods for the next 2-3 months. I have found a few foods I can do, I don't know if I can do them everyday though and what amount I can do them.

- we can soon get out as the poisonous oak catapillers are turning into moths.

- been happy all day looking forward to the next year, moving to our home country, my husband finding a good job, living in a climate that fits my disabilities the best who has the cleanest drinking water so I don't rely on one brand of bottled water for all my drinking water and it is free too, and in a safe country where children walk to their friends and take the buses by themselves without any problems, children playing outside all afternoon spring and summer.
