I thank myself for giving up when I did. For choosing him when I knew I should've.  But mostly I am thankful for those big brown eyes and tan skin that never scare but always pressure me to do my best. I am thankful for the way you walk and talk & how you  present yourself to everyone the same and how you're never shameful of who you are. you have allowed me to be myself. You never lie and your kindness is often looked over because of your strength. but I want you to know I see it.   I want to be more like you, but I thank you for allowing me, to find me

And if I didn't lose you, I wouldn't have met him, I wouldn't have realized I liked bilingual tongs and deep brown eyes. I love the chaos he brings me that never fails to be sweet. I like that he calls me crazy in the sheets and sweetie on the streets. I like how he isn't anything like you. I love that I met him on my own without ever having to ask you.
