Ellery

As she was finishing up a sales, handing the woman her bag of goodies, Ellery approached and caused her to jump a little. “Jesus! Doubtful! Though I know Bake’d Bites a few booths down has some yummy cupcakes if you want something sweet,” she laughed, briefly hugging his side before letting go to add her money to her secret stash. “Are you enjoying yourself?” 

Ellery smirked and let out. a low chuckle. “I can think of something sweet I’d much rather take a bite of,” he teased, squeezing her tighter to him. He’d never get tired of holding her and it felt too soon when she pulled away to finish what she was doing. Taking his purple cowboy hat off, he tossed it onto a chair and pushed his hair back. “Yeah, it’s not too bad. Wandered around for a bit, hung out with Brandon and Brownie. How about you? Enlighten a lot of people on their potential futures?” He’d started to grasp just how the whole tarot thing worked and was careful not to state that they actually told the future, she’d corrected him on that more than once. 

Eden’s eyes slowly scanned the fair and adjusted the cowboy hat she’d found at some thrift store earlier that day. She wasn’t even trying at this point, mostly using the event as an excuse to drink like a fish and ride the Ferris wheel. And maybe if she was lucky she could find a group of teens and confiscate their weed. She pulled a cig from behind her ear, placed it between her lips and stuffed her hands in her pockets in search for a lighter. It only took a few seconds and a handful of huffs before she realized she’d left her at home 

“Hey!” Eden called out, pointing to the nearest person in front of her, “Hey, you got a light? I uh…I can’t seem to find mine. Or shit…maybe I dropped it…” She mumbled mostly to herself as she stepped closer her eyes mostly searching the ground for the possibly dropped lighter. “Also think you could point me to the nearest drinking booth or bar around here?” 

Turning around at the sound of someone behind him, the fringe on Ellery’s chaps swung and made a gently patting sound against his legs. Asking him for a lighter was like asking a bird for a feather, it was inevitable that he had one. Even though he had very little on and it would seem unlikely that he’d be able to carry anything, he always had his goods on hand, stashed away unexpectedly. “Yeah,” he nodded, reaching down and pulling out a little baggie from tucked in the top of his cowboy flip-flop boot. Opening it he pulled out a lighter and handed it to her. “I think there’s a beer garden over there,” he pointed vaguely to the left. “Thought I saw something, but I’ve got my own.” Reaching down again he pulled a flask out of the other boot.
