This is certainly relevant today in many conflicts around the world and particularly in Europe. On Purim we read the Book of Esther. Ellen Miller Braun's calligraphy art design depicts the joy of this holiday. Enjoy the meaning of this Purim design by reading the description below. B Dancing for Joy: The words from Purim, read from Migillat Esther: La yehudim hayta ora v’simcha v’sasson v’ekar (The Jews had light and joy and gladness and honor. So be it with us.) The images dance across the page along with these carefree figures representing the joy and fun experienced on this wonderous holiday.

Psalms 18 is a prayer of David - a Song of Thanks that David sings to G-d for his safe delivery from the hands of his enemies. David depicts G-d as He "rode upon a Kerub" and "did fly and soar on the wings of the wind." "G-d is a shield to those who trust in Him."David also sings that G-d girded him with strength and taught his hands war so that “a bow of brass is bent in his arms.” G-d bolstered David’s courage to do battle and lifted him above those who rose up against him. David sings praises to G-d for his delivery and the unswerving love G-d shows him, David, and "to his seed evermore."This tank is the "bow of brass" bent for the arms of Israeli soldiers. It is a clear indication of military might, propelled by the One and Only G-d of Israel. Just as the "Kerub" soars on the wings of wind, the Merkava armored tank, with G-d's guidance, bursts forward towards battle.This seemingly simple, yet complex piece, represents Israel's constant struggle for survival.
